With time i have realised that how you see actors from your perspective is very different from reality. As far as i know, Katrina had no influence of her dad's nationality in her life since he and her mother got separated when she was just a kid and was raised by her mom solely. So undoubtedly she was not leveraged with knowing the language or how the Indian lifestyle and things are. Coming from a different country & background, learning everything by the book isn't a easy thing. It's like restarting your life and she managed to sustain herself for more over a decade. I see actresses with little to no talent or acting skills getting all the awards & bagging best roles. They have been part of this since forever, meanwhile she wasn't. I think Kat deserves so much respect for all the hardwork she put forward in order to stablish her career after all the backlash. Not only that she managed that well but also started a very successful cosmetics venture. She also took the heat for her dating past which shouldn't be the case with anyone. With time i have realised that how you see actors from your perspective is very different from reality. As far as i know, Katrina had no influence of her dad's nationality in her life since he and her mother got separated when she was just a kid and was raised by her mom solely. So undoubtedly she was not leveraged with knowing the language or how the Indian lifestyle and things are. Coming from a different country & background, learning everything by the book isn't a easy thing. It's like restarting your life and she managed to sustain herself for more over a decade. I see actresses with little to no talent or acting skills getting all the awards & bagging best roles. They have been part of this since forever, meanwhile she wasn't. I think Kat deserves so much respect for all the hardwork she put forward in order to stablish her career after all the backlash. Not only that she managed that well but also started a very successful cosmetics venture. She also took the heat for her dating past which shouldn't be the case with anyone. I am glad she's at better place now. But a women is successfull, fulfilled and happy with or without a man.
