I like demonstrations like this, even though they don't always go as planned, the trainer always makes it fun and remains calm. And the horses look as if they are really enjoying the experience. Wish more trainers were like this. Cool & calm. That's what horses like :)
You can tell how much they love their horses! They joke around with them and they don't get mad at them! They even laugh at the situation and turn it into something amazing! I love these guys!
“...I love you.” “Amelia, that’s the WRONG TEAM” 😂 loved how these guys let their horses be horses sometimes and didn’t get mad or anything. Perfection
Totally! My wonderful feisty chestnut firecracker would be the safest, gentlest mare around vulnerable people but with anyone showing off, myself included, she would have them off 😁
So much better then the horse and cart fiasco race I watched the other day. One horse got spooked and little by little, about half of the other horses started panicking and running into each other. That was caused by the horses all having blinders on. It limits their view and when one would run into another, one commenter stated that they run cause they have no idea what ran into him, only that something was chasing him.
I got the funny bit I think, but the iron "bits" remain sad. Reminders of how horses were used in warfare. The latter is still used in the show-ring to show off and monetize horses at the cost of their health and lives.
Man this is so beautiful and real, you are so cool, calm and relaxing about the one horse that was out of line, which even helped him stay calm, thank you.
These men are showing us that it isn't aggressive behavior that teaches another creature to follow the alpha, but the alpha( him/herself) that is the one to follow for guidance and direction
Their ears are back because they are listening to his direction, NOT because they are abused or angry. I think the fact that they were so happy (obvious in the video) and yet still came back in line with him shows that these horses are treated very well.
An excellent example of why geldings are preferred for beginners etc. How can you not love Amelia and her sense of humor. Exactly why I prefer a mare,as they keep you on your toes.
Oh to funny! those guys have a good sense of humor! I wouldnt call it out of control, just one horse got excited and the others in return did to. You can tell the one horse is just having a good time.
What are you talking about? It's because of the amount of damage one kick can cause. They were basically watching a speeding car zoom by a person on a freeway. They could have seen a horse get seriously injured. Get it?
This is great...so many natural horsemanship trainers bring these programmed robots along for the show and you seriously sit back and go.."wers the horse?"....here you can see the horse.
So funny! People forget no matter how well trained a horse it they still have huge personalities just like dogs. They will be Mischievous when they want to. I love how well trained they are though it’s so lovely.
Yes, this was hilarious! I loved the "I love you" attempt - never works for me either! Agree with the rest of the comments, these are just happy horses and it's great to see.
This is hilarious! Those are true equestrians right there. When their performance took a turn for the worse, they stayed calm and patient with the animals. They were cracking jokes to the crowd too which was makin it enjoyable for them as well, instead of freaking out and yelling at and punishing the horses. They understood how unpredictable these animals are and we able to crack joked when this happened. Kudos to them, they couldn't have possibly handled that any better.
That was hilarious! I, too, like how the riders were calm about it and made it into a joke for the crowd. :D Amelia sure didn't want to listen, though, LOL.
Looks they were all having a good time...I'm sure the ones that were being ridden were wishing they could have been part of the fun!!! FOund it much more enjoyable watching them run around and kicking up their heels!! PARTY TIME!!!!!!
I'm considering naming my (soon to be born) foal Amelia now. No matter which gender it will be :-D. The mom horse is a diva too so the baby might very well learn and grow into the name.
Beautiful sod arena. I wonder how they keep the ground underneath from becoming compact and lumpy. In a dirt arena they rake the dirt so that, ideally, there are no lumps or ridges to trip or stress the horse's ankles.
When working with living, breathing, thinking animals this type of thing can and will happen... Good to see... (I do Agility with my dogs.. and I am VERY experienced in things not going exactly "right"!!!
love this....i would love to go and see him....cause it's like...things like this do go wrong....things never go to plan....and even when it does go wrong, we gather up and try and work together.....but it doesn't matter, it's not the end of the world that it does go wrong!!
This reminds me of the free flight bird shows at Taronga zoo in Sydney. If the birds get distracted and won't fly back to their chutes the next bird in the act cannot be released for safety reasons. As such the people on stage have several facts and stories pre-learned to stall for time while making the show appear natural. By engaging with the audience and speaking calmly they got the horses to choose to come back to them of their own volition and kept everyone entertained at the same time.
I like that the riders keep their cool when Amelia decides to goof around. They get everyone rounded up again without making a big deal about things. Those horses seem very happy and well cared for.
Its very obvious why the horses were out of control. But I wouldnt exactly call it out of control. You see, it is very normal for horses to get excitable when they break into a fast canter or a gallop. So maybe the title should be "Horses Getting A Little Crazy" Great filming by the way! Im so surprised you could catch all that on tape!
I love how the riders stay calm. Amelia is just feeling good and wants to play around. Natural horse behavior and good leadership by the riders.
Love the fact that the boys just ad-libbed and went with it, keeping it entertaining :) Great horsemen.... and who doesn't love Amelia after that? ;)
I like demonstrations like this, even though they don't always go as planned, the trainer always makes it fun and remains calm. And the horses look as if they are really enjoying the experience.
Wish more trainers were like this. Cool & calm. That's what horses like :)
The other horses are trying to line back up again and you can see them thinking "come on... you're gonna get in trouble!"
You can tell how much they love their horses! They joke around with them and they don't get mad at them! They even laugh at the situation and turn it into something amazing! I love these guys!
No one got hurt, it was a minor set back of the show, so they made the best of the horse's freak happy moments. Fun and games for everyone :)
“...I love you.” “Amelia, that’s the WRONG TEAM” 😂 loved how these guys let their horses be horses sometimes and didn’t get mad or anything. Perfection
A trainer friend of mine told me "don't you go bragging about that horse, cause she'll make a liar out of you" yup.......
Every single time...LMBO
Same with dogs.
Totally! My wonderful feisty chestnut firecracker would be the safest, gentlest mare around vulnerable people but with anyone showing off, myself included, she would have them off 😁
Third time I've watched this and I still crack up about "Amelia!!"
I know, right?... "Ferrari, I love you...Amelia, you know how I feel about you." Laughed so hard I almost choked.
I love her so much!
don't take it too serious, just having fun and make people laughing
Great
I got the funny bit I think, but the iron "bits" remain sad. Reminders of how horses were used in warfare. The latter is still used in the show-ring to show off and monetize horses at the cost of their health and lives.
Coco Chanelleke stimmt einerseits und andererseits werden es immer mehr Menschen, die Pferde sanft und geduldig trainieren.... und das ist ein Erfolg.
Aber woher wissen Sie denn, dass ich auch deutsch spreche ;)
Coco Chanelleke :-)
Man this is so beautiful and real, you are so cool, calm and relaxing about the one horse that was out of line, which even helped him stay calm, thank you.
So great to see these horses are not machines.... I loved the way the guys were so cool about her behaviour, brilliant!!
It's a pleasure to see her running like that. So happy and enjoying what she's doing. Great job :)
These men are showing us that it isn't aggressive behavior that teaches another creature to follow the alpha, but the alpha( him/herself) that is the one to follow for guidance and direction
true
Best part is even if it's not the behavior they want to showcase, they still show the beauty of horses in their natural state
I like how he doesn't get frustrated or anything, he's just scolding her like a child. "Amelia...." that's the cutest and funniest thing ever :D
this their "bit". The "misbehaving" is part of the show. I saw the exact same performance in Kentucky. These guys are awesome horse trainers.
Tami AndersonIT LOOKS SO REAL!! ITS SO FUNNY!!
Brilliant. Whenever I see videos of these guys they always seem to have such a fabulous attitude with their horses. Fun.
She's a cheeky one and having heaps of fun! She's got a great sense of humor, like my horse ^^
Their ears are back because they are listening to his direction, NOT because they are abused or angry. I think the fact that they were so happy (obvious in the video) and yet still came back in line with him shows that these horses are treated very well.
I don't think I could love the double Dans more if I tried- they are such genuine horse guys and people!
Love these guys. Most would get angry and just give up but they were enjoying themselves and trying to get things together calmly. Such great guys.
That horse is having alot of fun. Glad no one tried to catch her
He turned a bad situation into a humble display of patience and great horsemanship
You can tell the one horse is just having a good time.
hear the crowd go "ooohhh!!" when the horse bucks xD like horses never ever buck at eachother.
+GuardianAngelFanga Its more of a laughing one sweetheart. That and the other horse was almost kicked.
What are you talking about? It's because of the amount of damage one kick can cause. They were basically watching a speeding car zoom by a person on a freeway. They could have seen a horse get seriously injured. Get it?
@@celestialhand8544 calm down
I love the lady at 01:01 saying something like " That´s what you get when you put one girl ..." !
I love how the guy handles this, he doesn't get mad and he just laughs it off. Great horseman!
I love how this guy handles this.
This is great...so many natural horsemanship trainers bring these programmed robots along for the show and you seriously sit back and go.."wers the horse?"....here you can see the horse.
So true
I love your horses so much. You have such a great relationship with all of them it looks like.
They do cool tricks and stuff, Amelia was just having a rebellious day. I actually saw these guys they are really cool
Hey Amelia jusst wanna to bd the diva of the show and show the audience who really was in charge LOL love it 😆❤
nice to see even the best trainers have bad days. Makes me feel Good. His attitude is fantastic.
Just horses getting excited and having fun playing. It's nice to see the guys finding humor in this instead of getting angry.
I think either way if the horses listened or not it was entertaining to the people, I'm happy the trainers had fun with it and didn't freak.
I love how playful the horses got. They're like "Dad, this place is so big, green, and nice, I just wanna play Dad, leave me alone". X'D
Lol those horses were having so much fun :P
Silly horses, haha. Everyone needs it's fun time, even animals :)
The fact that they know Amelia won't harm the other horses shows enough. They are totally calm and the crowd doesn't panic...true horsemanship.
We should all be so lucky to have horse so out of control! Genius horsemanship!
I LOVE DoubleDan stuff :) I got to see them at the Midwest horse fair. I like how they respond when things don't go as planned!
OMG that cheeky little mare really has a nice presence. You couldn't stay mad at her for too long.
So funny! People forget no matter how well trained a horse it they still have huge personalities just like dogs. They will be Mischievous when they want to. I love how well trained they are though it’s so lovely.
Hi from Ireland. Double Dan's are Brilliant.
Thats so cute, what a naughty horse. The riders stayed calm & that made such a difference for the horses. Emergency averted :)
Really nice to watch these beautiful animals. This probably better then what they had planned.
Wonderful show! Horses will be horses!
It's nice to see everything not go to plan once in a while. LOL. Good show
Aulstralian accent + a random run-away horse= An AWESOME horse show!
Yes, this was hilarious! I loved the "I love you" attempt - never works for me either! Agree with the rest of the comments, these are just happy horses and it's great to see.

Haha, I love it. Amelia was having a ball! I love how they handled all that too, lovely :D
Horse gotta horse :)
Hey luv your channel :P
That was hilarious! I, too, like how the riders were calm about it and made it into a joke for the crowd. :D Amelia sure didn't want to listen, though, LOL.
So nice horses and riders 😊
Looks they were all having a good time...I'm sure the ones that were being ridden were wishing they could have been part of the fun!!! FOund it much more enjoyable watching them run around and kicking up their heels!! PARTY TIME!!!!!!
I love how he goes with it instead of being embarrassed. I wouldn't say the situation wasn't out of control, the horses just got a little fresh.
I'm considering naming my (soon to be born) foal Amelia now. No matter which gender it will be :-D. The mom horse is a diva too so the baby might very well learn and grow into the name.
I love the rebellish look the front horse gives to his trainer xD
Gotta love a horse that has a little spunk! :)
he handled that so amazingly well, you aren't going to get her to listen to you, just let her chill, no harmful areas, enclosed, safe.
Nicely showing some natural herd behavior!
Amelia is too cute!
Should have put this to the song "All I want to do is have some fun!"
High light of my day , Great to see such fun LOL
Beautiful sod arena. I wonder how they keep the ground underneath from becoming compact and lumpy. In a dirt arena they rake the dirt so that, ideally, there are no lumps or ridges to trip or stress the horse's ankles.
The compare was magnificent.
Haha, love it!! Shows both sides of horsemanship
Amelia is a stinker -- we went to a clinic where they were and Amelia was kinda snotty in a funny way.
I like how the horsemen keep it calm and then it works. Experience
Aww they are beautiful ❤️
When working with living, breathing, thinking animals this type of thing can and will happen... Good to see... (I do Agility with my dogs.. and I am VERY experienced in things not going exactly "right"!!!
love the end "Okay, everybody leave!" Looks like Amelia was having fun being the trouble maker!
Amelia is my kinda horse!;))))
Can't wait for the WA State Horse Expo with these guys next year
love this....i would love to go and see him....cause it's like...things like this do go wrong....things never go to plan....and even when it does go wrong, we gather up and try and work together.....but it doesn't matter, it's not the end of the world that it does go wrong!!

they are so precious, they just wanted to have some fun ;)
Lorenzo the Flying Frenchman cannot be matched! :D
Letting the horses be horses. I love it.
These are really happy horses!
Such playful horses😂 and riders are handing it so well by not getting mad
i would be amelia… "FOCUS AMELIA… as i am bucking around the field hahahah i love it :) great show! miles of smiles from the isa!!
I like that the riders keep their cool when Amelia decides to goof around. They get everyone rounded up again without making a big deal about things. Those horses seem very happy and well cared for.
well, I love this....horses having fun, innocent fun and the guys acted nicely and were easy on them in front of the crowd and I hope backstage also
"horses get out of control" I was expecting chaos but this was just a bit of a lark about in the ring. Everyone entertained
hahaha so funny! I watched it a million times!
Its very obvious why the horses were out of control. But I wouldnt exactly call it out of control. You see, it is very normal for horses to get excitable when they break into a fast canter or a gallop. So maybe the title should be "Horses Getting A Little Crazy" Great filming by the way! they seem to be enjoying themselves. I like that the riders don't make a big deal about it.
Its always funny when the trainors are in good humor about it too! this made me laugh good funn!
When the actors haven't gotten their morning coffee all sorts of attitude lol
I was expecting a lot of hate comments about this but I'm really surprised this looks like a really cool looking unique activity
awesome you riders are awesome and you know your horses!
I was actually at this equitana but I don't remember seeing this, must've missed it for something else
Well at least they are having fun and the rider handles it really well
Handles it super well
