Thank you for the peek inside Silver Dollar City! I love watching the two of you share the adventure. I hope next year masks won't be necessary. If so, I'll be at SDC in a New York minute 😁 I just can't imagine spending a whole day in a hot mask, being miserable.
@@kayc8512 i mean, i went to over texas a few weeks ago, and its hot out there, so i soaked my neck mask in water in the sink and put it over my head. It didnt help SUPER much, but in shady areas like this park has, it was helpful.
Another awesome video! Can’t wait to visit Silver Dollar City- considering it for our visit during the July 4th weekend. I’d love to see another updated video on what is opening up on The Strip.
I’m 32 years old and I’ve been to SDC every year since I was 5. I just don’t see how it would be possible to keep a mask on my 3 and 6 year old. I’m going to Branson at the end of July and I’m praying things change by then.
How come they did not limit before. I will never go back due to poor experience last fall. Horrible day largest attendance and pushing mother in a wheelchair.
Thank you I needed this! I’ve been to Silver Dollar City too many times to count but I wanted to know what it looked like after their closing since I’m going back in July!
Ahh thanks for the peek!! My family just got our season passes so we will be up there next week! We go almost every other weekend in the summer it’s our favorite park by far!
I am a couple months late, but I have been going to silver dollar city since I was a baby, my mom has been going since she was 5, so I am so excited to go
Great video. Thanks for sharing. My 5yr son and I. Never been . We will be going 8/18 & 8/19. I'm trying to figure out a game plan of experiencing the park.
Thank you for the video! My sister and friend are going in August and might stop at SDC so this is great! From my own experience a few years back, the lines always were long for rides and the train and stuff, so right now they should definitely be shorter! I cant say for sure though because I had a handicap pass. But it should be worth it for sure.
Great video. Your park may not be close enough to me, but it was very interesting to see how one amusement park is handling all the COVID-19 restrictions. I doubt I will make it to my Six Flags this year, but I can live vicariously through watching videos.
We went on Sunday and it was so relaxing! I use the app and it tells you about how long the wait is for rides. I always check that. It also tells you what lines are temporarily closed or just not running for the day. Very helpful
TPF! Travel Adventures some of it was. I was in line for Time Traveler and it stopped running temporarily and when I checked as I was leaving the line it had changed already to saying it was temporary closed. On the other hand, it said the line for Outlaw run was 20 min but in reality it was more like 10.
Thanks for showing the park , showing what’s closed and what to expect. And not just complaining about who wasn’t wearing masks (I watched another RUclips channel that that’s all they did, so discouraging)
It looked like it went fairly smooth with not alot of people there. I can imagine total chaos when the public is allowed in. With the mask wearing and everything else i think we'll sit SDC out until this is all over. Thanks for another great video John & Amy. I'm headed to Pigeon Forge next month.
@@lexihewett827 Pigeon Forge is 3 hours past Nashville in Tennesee. Surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. It has two Awesome towns that run into each other. Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Kind of like Branson with Shows and Go Carts but so much more. It's Awesome.
Hey there Mike and Amy hey if you could do A a shot at their door shop. It’s a door shop up on the second floor also they had a lot of woodworking stuff there and I believe it is on the corner. I always had to go through there whenever you ready to come down there because they carve doors

Brooooo it's so empty. On one hand I'm hype as hell since that means like maybe 1/2 or 3/4 queue lengths compared to normal, but also it's gonna be super eerie, like the vibe you get at a dying mall. No way I'm going in Grandfather's Mansion this year, that place is terrifying even when it's packed, and Flooded Mine is definitely going to be in a similar boat (pun entirely intended). Do you know if they're making people wear masks on the coasters? I saw that employee on the Powder Keg test run, poor girl. Fire in the Hole is fine for a mask since it's so slow, but I can't imagine how wind-battered my face would be after riding Wildfire or Outlaw Run with a mask on.
Masks are required on all rides, except water rides. Grandfather's Mansion is closed for now. Short lines and lighter crowds have been nice, but we'll be so glad when all this is over!
People complaining about the masks like it's a a major deal breaker 😂 I know it sucks, but at least SDC is even open. I have to wear a mask for my own job. It isn't a big deal as opposed to potentially getting covid and not breathing at all. It's also SDC trying to protect guests from getting sick and PROTECTING THEMSELVES FROM POTENTIAL LAWSUITS from people. That would cause them to go broke, not asking people to wear masks. Lmao
I heard Saturday they said they were letting in 9000 I don’t know if that was true or not. And I was told that they were not going to sale there fast passes till they go back to full capacity
TPF! Travel Adventures I hope Mystic River Falls will be a ride that won’t be too terribly fast for me because I don’t like rides that go extremely fast like speeds of powder keg wildfire or outlaw run
You said that you have to eat gluten free! My son has celiac and has to eat gluten free. What are the best gluten free options in Branson? Headed that way next weekend, thanks in advance!
I went yesterday and was super disappointed that they only had 1 train running on Powder Keg. We waited over an hour. I do not understand why they just had one train running.

Hi i have a q about how Silver dollar city how they handle people that is in a scooter. Do you know if they rides have raps for people like me in a scooter come get up to the ride. How does that work when I go to Silverdollar city do they want to see ID with they give a disability pass for people that are disabled. Do you know
As I am watching I see a whole ton of people without masks on. Now don't get me wrong I am not looking forward to wearing a mask in the heat but it seems like it might not be as big of a fight if you don't. Im taking mine either way just because I am a rule follower
Nicole Rehn I wore my mask on rides, in line, in stores, and whenever I was 6 foot away from someone. Since there are less people in the park it’s easy to stay more than 6 feet away. If I was far enough away I did let my mask down to breath better. The mask thing honestly was not a big problem for me at all. Get a wrap thing that they have cause the coolness will be a life saver! ( I didn’t know how else to word that correctly lol)
Hi John and Amy. How come the saloon act the girls are not wearing garter belts. Back in the summer of 1982 the skit was Carrie nations. And it was an old girl that played Carrie nations and when she came in she would break the glass and when they was having the floor show I was in Heaven because one of the waiters or bartenders brought one of the dancing girls over and sit her in my lap. But that’s gay and you could buy a garter belt from the girls for a dollar.
it’s to keep you safe. you are around other people. it’s just to keep their guests safe and i believe you should respect that they are trying to keep their guests safe even though it is outside. you are beside others and in crowds of people who have germs and could get sick. we should appreciate that they are taking those precautions for our safety
This is our 2d year for season tickets & it’s just money wasted under the current protocol. This has guaranteed SDC will just go broke slowly and fade into history unless they get to open fully. Heck of a way to go out on the 60th season anniversary. Mostly I’m disappointed for my granddaughters not being able to enjoy it as they have the last few years.

I cannot do it..
SDC has "no mask" areas now, so for people who have trouble breathing with one on can go and relax without a mask on.

No, but that's a great idea!
