For the commenter edition: In Shining Force there are two secret "sexy" outfits you can unlock for two of your party members. Considering the amount of pixels we're talking about they seem a bit pointless though.
Ha, I remember that. No, wait, maybe I don't... I'm thinking of Shining Force 2, where you could find one potential party member swimming in a pond, and she jumped out naked, revealing a 10-pixel high vaguely flesh shaped sprite. Not sure I was aware of anything 'sexy' in the first Shining Force.
The crazy thing about those outfits is that they take up an inventory slot. Each character only has 4 inventory to begin with, so you're giving up a precious slot that could hold a healing item just to make the pixelated 16-bit character show more skin. Not to mention that you have to go out of your way to find the outfits too. They're decent hard to get and completely missable.
For the commenter edition, there should also be the playboy centrefold from the original Secret of Mana. Admittedly, there were a LOT of allusions to porno mags in the 8 and 16-bit eras (such as the "Book of Secrets" in FF6) but this one actually was more than a name.
