Just found your channel. Our touring rig for the last 7 years was a JK Wrangler CRD and a custom build offroad teardrop camper. We now have a Gladiator which has just had a Camp King canopy camper fitted. Once the fit out is finished we will likely stop towing, we'll see.

@@lilandjake March is a good time of year to do it, which sounds like it would work in with your schedule. Gets pretty hot over summer and there are lots of track closures between June long weekend and November. 😁

We love our Gladiator and are currently looking at ways to travel full time. We are also looking at a new van as have a FF camper. Gladiator rocks but only negative is doesn’t have enough tow capacity but can’t beat it off road.

All the boats swing into the wind like a vane while on anchor, if your boat "sails" at anchor it helps to strop it at about 45deg OR put a small sail up on the stern.

Fraser Island is our favourite place in the world. Loved your recent video seeing where you have been on the island. Have been looking to see where I can go with my 14.6 foot Crusader Gladiator Force (you have seen it's more expensive sibling earlier this year, the Crusader Hurricane) which is fully off road and we bought it so we can take it to the island.
Been there without a van many times. Keep it up. Love the content, sometimes bit cringe where I am thinking... what the hell are they thinking.. and get that ball weight sorted!

If you're into real remote travel I'd suggest travelling from Cook in the fat west of SA to Coober Pedy via Ingomar and Mabel Creek. A tough drive and certainly need to be totally self sufficient - no fuel or water along the track and need a PLB and sat phone - but the challenge is well worth it

Me and my partner live in Viccy point, we always go to straddie such a nice spot !! Would’ve loved to had a beer with yous and pick your brains as we are leaving for our own lap of aus in feb. Was also literally gonna comment for yous guys to do a video on straddie or some of the Moreton bay islands before I seen the end of the vid 😂. Anyway love your content guys and hopefully maybe see you guys round the country somewhere when we leave 🤙
you guys would have noticed on your trip alot of people would be driving toyota's they drive them from a reason they are one of the best 4x4's reliable they dont brake down and if they do they are easily fixed most places have parts for them, you would be better off getting a V8 landcruiser or even just a nice hilux sr5, but honestly theres nothing wrong with the ranger you have already got, getting a jeep would be a step backwards like alot of others have commented they are more trouble than they are worth. sorry to piss on ya fire because i know you guys like the look of them but you will spend more time on the road and less time at the mechanics if you dont get a jeep

I’m planning on travelling Aus Next year, won’t have an income on the road and planning to go with savings of $60k. Would you guys think this is sufficient enough? As I don’t wanna be worrying about money whilst I’m away.

Hi guys. Here's a couple of quick tips. NSW has the best beaches in Australia, especially from the Central Coast to the Tweed. It's also full of backroads & 4WD tracks to thousands of great places like the Gardens of Stone, mountain ranges, state forests with free camping, national parks, pristine rivers & creeks, waterfalls, caves, old mining ghost towns, etc, etc. And .... NO, you don't want a Jeep.
I must say Jake has amazing patience that’s for sure.

Genuine question, do you now travel because its a business and a revenue source or is it still the joy if travel? From the outside it appears that many for "influencers" it is about product placements and generating revenue more than the travel. 8 hours editing feels like a business rather than pure travel. Yeah, good question!! I think for us, it’s a bit of both. We are doing this because of our love for adventure and travel however it’s not free and we need an income source… so I suppose long story long, you can’t have one without the other?

Brilliant guys !!!! for me with the boat in that beautiful blue fraser Island water and amazing white sand was the tops. Total chill and mindblowing goodness to do that. But hey Mitchell falls was a total adventure about as remote as you can get. Great advice here and that's what we want but with an ISuzu 4by4 truck, it's high and no towing, it is something to dream about. Well done for taking the long way. You guy are awesome !!!! Maybe slippery bits like Karajini deserve a and later on a as you drown the terrorfying memory of those slippery rocks! But hey you made it !!
