Jonah the Prophet in modern day Israel! Yom Kippur prep with Nili Salem

🎺What is the Shofar? It is an ancient Jewish Ritual Prayer horn! We have a tradition to hear its call every day during the Hebrew month of Elul! ...but wait, we are in the month of Tishrei now... yes, that is true... and there is definitely no custom to hear the Shofar this month. BUT, the idea of being conscious of this precious and holy time of year is still a thing... and since I had more Shofar videos to share, I figured that I may as well keep them going until Yom Kippur!
🎉Why? It is a call to consciousness that the Jewish New Year is rapidly approaching! The Jewish New Year is also a celebration AND also an opportunity to deeply reflect on the past year, to introspect, and to see how we can act as our highest selves for the year to come!
❤️So hearing the Shofar every day is meant to help us open our hearts in prayer to accomplish these goals of improving our character and behaviors in relationship w ourselves, with others and with God.
🌍 🇮🇱I have taken this Shofar around the world, and this year all of the videos have been filmed in the last 6 months across Israel! I chose to do this to share its light, beauty, love and prayer with the whole wide world!
