IN SPACE WITH MARKIPLIER THE MUSICAL project announcement

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: IN SPACE WITH MARKIPLIER THE MUSICAL
In October 2020, I released a 2-hour parody project of the WKM series, with over 20 original songs and artwork all made and put together by one person: Who Killed Markiplier: A Vocaloid Musical.
Surprisingly, and to my endless gratitude and joy, people seemed to like it (and thank you to everyone who's seen it, I love you). Recently, I've once again been hit with the itch to do another big music project - so I'm going to scratch it with the attempt to make a musical adaptation of ISWM.
WHAT IS ISWM THE MUSICAL?
ISWM the Musical (title pending*) is going to be an episodic musical adaptation of Markiplier's In Space With Markiplier series, and will feature vocal synthesizers from both Vocaloid and Synth V. It will feature original songs and artwork by yours truly, as with its predecessor, Who Killed Markiplier: A Vocaloid Musical.
(*Due to the mixed engines of the singers, it unfortunately cannot be called ISWM: A Vocaloid Musical, so the title is still pending. I might just call it ISWM the Musical or In Space the Musical).
WHY IS IT EPISODIC?
It took one whole year to create WKM the musical - from researching, to drafting, to tuning, to mixing, to art...you get the idea. I don't want people to have to wait too long nor do I want to be stuck with a WIP for a year and a half, maybe two (ISWM is MUCH longer than WKM after all!), so I want to release the project in episodes. Also! Due to WKM the Musical being two hours long, my computer AND RUclips crashed during rendering and fucked up the epilogue song so I'm not taking chances lmao.
WILL IT BE A 1:1 ADAPTATION OF ISWM?
Unfortunately not. The interactive nature of the original ISWM makes it difficult to create a 1:1 adaptation to music. It will have to be written as a musical series, not an interactive film. Though, while we lose our agency as viewers, the series will still feature the varying results of choices in the timeloops.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THE PROJECT TO BE FINISHED?
Quite a while. As of now, I can't give a specific ETA as I'm still working on the beginning of the project. There's also a lot of things that go into making something like this, and I'm only one person doing an experimental project for fun. I still have life responsibilities and I gotta pay bills, so I can only dedicate spare time to the project.
I also need to acquire additional voicebanks for the characters, which might take a while as I'm currently looking through secondhand listings to get them for cheap. I have already acquired Kevin (The Engineer) and Solaria (The Bandit), but I still need to acquire Eleanor (Dr. Celci), and Stardust (The Warp Crystal) as well as figure out the right voice for the Invincible's computer system.

I will do my best to update everyone on the progress of the musical, as well as what banks have been acquired (JUST YESTERDAY WE GOT SOLARIA SO BANDIT ACQUIRED!!!).
