      I think she had a botched abortion at her house. Because there was a cloths hanger found on top of the car in the driveway. She didn't mention that in this video but you can see it in the crime scene pics of the driveway. The phone book was out and the phone ripped out of the wall. I think during the abortion something bad happened and she tried to phone someone. And the person performing the abortion stopped her. She was also seen running with something red, I think that was the fetus.

  • @MeemsCouture
    @MeemsCouture 6 лет назад +949

    This case is so interesting. Because she checked out to many books on how to fake a disappearance or murder I believe she wanted out. Her life was probably too much and was having an affair and just wanted to start over so she has the man who she was having an affair with help her (why there was a finger print and explains the car) the blood was necessary because it needed to match her. And she was clutching her stomach because she didn’t wanna bleed out. But that crime scene was staged especially with the way the trash was placed. She waited for her husband to be gone to do his because it was her only opportunity. That’s why no body was ever found.

      she couldve had checked the books out to further her knowledge in literature. like people said she was really into reading and writing and possibly wanted to write something on this topic. or maybe she was being followed/stalked? why she was educating her self. i dont think she would just run away from her life.. and especially on foot? plus she dropped her daughter off but her son was in the crib. which does not make any sense. what if she was murdered and posibly disposed off close by and it was actually the murdered dressed up like her maybe walking? i haeve honestly no clue this story is so bizare.

    i immediately thought of miscarriage when i heard you say she was clutching her stomach with blood running down her leg, but i feel the abortion theory is more probable. maybe she was planning to leave which is why she got all of those books, but then realized she was pregnant and didn’t want to have a baby with her when she left, so she had an abortion ?

    • @eb6017
      @eb6017 6 лет назад +7

      Even before she mentioned the theories as to what happened I thought that she aborted a baby she was pregnant with. It could also explain the car in her driveway, which could be Simeon she was having an affair with. If she was having an affair and got pregnant, the day she went missing could have been the day that she revealed she was pregnant, ensuing a rage/fight

    • @amora7435
      @amora7435 6 лет назад +7

      but the one thing that doesn't add up on this theory are the books on crime and murder. why plan a death, or stage one, when it is simply an abortion? she couldn't possibly have predicted that this would happen, and she would need this much intense research on planning a disappearance, of all things. but, otherwise, it seems to me the theory that makes most sense.

      Who knows how many other women are considered “missing” because of a botched abortion.
      Her checking out the library books on the topics she did seems suspicious to me. But I have no idea what other books she was reading. Did she just find the topic interesting or was she preparing for something?

    The whole theory of her staging her disappearance/possible death I actually think is the most realistic and reminded me so much of the book and movie Gone Girl. She was obviously smart so she could've easily worked out how to get away with it without a trace and all those books she borrowed seem to suggest that she was definitely trying to research how to pull it off. As for why she did it seemed like possibly she was bored of her life like I know she had a good husband and good kids but maybe it was too good for her if that makes sense? Or maybe she couldn't wait for her kids to grow up for her to have a more independent life again. Idk it seems plausible to me.

      Lilly Maiglock yeah I thought it was, I have such a dark humour that it’s the kinda shit I’d come out with. I guess just seeing it there kinda got me thinking. Like I know someone who’s a teacher, and I frequently see things on their Instagram stories about going out and getting shit-faced instead of prepping for their class the day after. It just makes me kinda sad to think there’s probably quite a lot of teachers out there who do genuinely think like this.

    Blood everywhere, her husband away kids fine............did u say she was seen in a trenchcoat hurrying out of the house with something red then holding something to her chest walking along the side of the road............. just makes me think either miscarriage or she just gave birth and was trying to get help without her husband finding out clutching baby to chest trenchcoat to cover herself and put the kids with a neighbor........ she was just in a panic.
    I dunno, people will prob think im nuts but just listening to this makes me think thats what happened x

      I thought it was a miscarriage as well. Hadn’t realized that she was having a miscarriage until after she had checked on baby David and then when she started bleeding more and more, she realized she was having a miscarriage or something and freaked out. Called someone for help and whoever it was came in the two-toned car. She tried to call someone and whoever it was feared that the authorities would think it was them who had hurt her or something and ripped the phone out. They left in case she was able to get help, she was walking around trying to find help but was disoriented from blood loss and maybe the person who came to help came back to pick her up.

      Even though I think that she probably planned it, being someone who lives directly next to Lincoln, that the only thing until you get to Boston is just woods and residential areas. I wouldn't be surprised if her body was still in the woods somewhere. However, since the disappearance, there has been so much development in that area (to the point that most houses were built around or after this event), I wouldn't be surprised if she is well buried under a house somewhere.

    I fully believe that she had a miscarriage or an abortion and the person helping her do it was a doctor of some sort and owned the car, I think it went wrong and they fled & she was traumatised and either ended up getting kidnapped, didn't want to go back to have her husband find out or she fell in a ditch somewhere & hasn't ever been found! Would explain the blood, the state she was in & why she ran out to her drive way holding something red! Would also explain the table turned over & why the place was a mess, either she begged the person for help & started attacking them in her state or she was in so much pain that she lost balance a couple times...would also explain the unidentified hand print on the phone, maybe they ripped it out of her hand because they didn't want to get arrested for doing a 'backstreet abortion'!

    My theory is: She got pregnant (some say she could have had an affair but I don't think so) but Joan really wanted to return to work and being that she had to wait until the kids were in school she wanted to have an abortion. To my knowledge abortions were illegal then, so she had a doctor come to the house (which explains the car). The abortion went wrong, she began to hemorrhage and panicked. So she went to the phone to call the emergency services, but the doctor couldn't risk being caught performing abortions so he ripped the phone from joan and the wall and tried to clean the blood. While he was trying to clean Joan left the house and tried to walk to the hospital. The doctor then puts her in his car telling her he'll take her to the hospital (lying of course) Then he tried to take her into the woods and kill her but she got away somehow, explaining the sightings of her walking and him walking into the woods. I think she lost too much blood got disoriented and probably wandered into the woods and died of blood loss. But the attack theory is also pretty compelling. Sad her children and husband never found her though...

    This could be a long shot but does anyone think it could be the dentist? (The one she saw that day)
    Because I've read about situations where people were so desperate to have an abortion they get dentists or vets to carry out the procedures which could've of explained why it went south

    • @charlenehoare6214
      @charlenehoare6214 6 лет назад +43

      Thea Sinclair this could be really possible . It was something that was done a lot back then .
      Like she went to the dentist had the procedure done and felt fine afterwards . She goes runs errands , gets home and goes about her day . The bleeding goes from droplets she notices when she checks in on David in his crib to a gush while the children are playing so she takes them over to Barbara’s yard ,tells little Lilian she will be back in a minute and goes to ring the dentist and tell him the bleeding has gotten heavy and she’s worried he says he’ll be over as soon as he can . The blood is getting everywhere ( she tries not to step in it so she doesn’t Trevi it through the house . she pulls the bin out attempts to get something to clean up but realises it’s too much for paper towel . She runs upstairs and puts her coat on runs back and starts cleaning up with the first things around . ( Barbra sees her ) tshe starts feeling faint as she’s trying to get more things to clean and falls on the table . She realises she’s got to go now .
      She starts stumbling out the drive and walking down the road . The dentist sees her picks her up and on the way to his clinic she does in the car . He hides her body and goes back to the house to check if she left any clues behind . He sees the phone book open to his number and flips the pages to the emergency services page and for good measure pulls the phone out of the wall and places it in the bin . He gets back in his car and drives away .

    Do we know any information on the mysterious house fire from her childhood? Did they suspect her of anything? I think she staged her own murder/disappearance maybe because someone found out about her childhood and was threatening her. I could also see that she felt unfulfilled and just needed to get out of there. I'm a little shocked that she would leave her baby alone but maybe she thought Barbara would find the kids sooner than she did and go get the baby right away. Very interesting.

    I’m going to bring back “untidy” as being a way to describe someone. “I don’t know if Karen is okay, she was looking very....untidy.”

    I can’t understand why no one stopped to help her on the highway with blood visible? I am she clearly needed help. It could of saved her life

      Moni J many people don't care about others. Also if they did stop they could have been accused of hurting her in the first place which a lot of people don't want to get involved in and think it's not worth it

      Some of the witnesses said it looked like mud and not blood, maybe the people who thought it was blood also thought it was mud at first and changed their mind when they heard about the missing woman.

      Moni J *have saved her life And "I am she clearly needed help." isn't a proper sentence.
