I used to work for Motoman and Yaskawa and I could do that system and programming all by myself. But, it still impresses me to no end that it's possible for one robot controller to control coordinate that many robots at one time.
When I started with them, Motoman was the only company that could coordinate 2 robots. Within a couple years they could do 4 and the other major companies were just getting to 2 robots.
I'm just now getting seriously back into industrial robotics and it's a topic you could spend your life exploring and you'd have a pretty fun life.

@Cornpop well written. I am currently employed @Yaskawa and Iam also impressed on how easy you can write your programs. Of course, it can be difficult on certain applications and you WILL need a more in-depth knowledge in robotics, but for the most applications it is just amazing. Glad to work there.

I was a field engineer for them and I lived a horrible life on the road, often working 16hrs/day, 7 days/wk. I got overtime, so my annual pay was high. But, I lived like a rat and I'll never do that again. I estimate that I took an additional 10yrs off my life, living that lifestyle. But, if I lived in the Dayton area, I would LOVE to work for them again! The type of work I did, solving problems and designing solutions to customer's applications, was the most fulfilling work I've ever done. In that respect, it was a dream job!
In my view they're a great company and I believe if they would have kept their Motoman name, their market share would still rival Fanuc's.

I like it. But where are the hidden two axies? Seven manipulators with SLURBT. 6x7 equals 42 plus one external. Equals 43. Help me:). BTW. I like my little welding Robots @work. Greets to the Eschborn Team in Germany!

RUclips won't get you very far with robots. Where do you live? If you're in the US, there might be a chance.
