It seems like to me that the Walt’s tied with a gold bead and natural rabbit dubbing is just a all round awesome pattern. I haven’t tried many other colors of dubbing with it yet but I confidently say that natural rabbit dubbing and tan thread is a tried and true color
Nice variation Tim! Those beads are cool and if you put them on the other way with a jig hook you get even more horizontal, almost like a balanced version. Great video as always!
Great pattern and great tie. Those are interesting beads though I haven't found any yet.. I love it when you show how the fly orients/behaves in the water.
Depending on the used hook, you can even put on the off set bead the wrong way around and exaggerate the off set and let the nymph sit even more horizontal. This does not work with every hook type though because it can narrow the hook eye quite a bit.
do you also ty this pattern in a bright shiney colors? i found they catch more than just trout, if i use the brightly colored flys i catch a larger variety /speices of fish,,, thank you for the tips
NEWSFLASH - I’m gonna market a very similar high-tech dubbing brush just like the one shown for only $29.99: just as soon as I finish this popsicle. I’m also gonna market a gold one for all you uppity folks for 59 bucks soon as I can find my gold sharpie;)
@@awatt You must be a fan of Phillip J. Fry the 1000-year-old delivery boy! I am just about ready to have FFF send me the new Swiss CDC (s) clip and dubbing teaser. it seems they come out with a new tool every Christmas Its a conspiracy I tell you a conspiracy! All I know, Tim posts a video and somehow if by magic my checkbook is light again by 60 bucks
Those look interesting Tim, I'll take a look at them. Carlos - in one of his past videos Tim shows how to make these little keepers. I made some for everything I have on spools... lead wire, wire ribbing, tinsels, etc. Very handy and neat.
"Ultra high tech rubbing brush"!!! that cracked me up - great video!
That’s a kickass Walt’s Worm! Devin Olson got me started on the inverted bead style. Troutbitten for life.
This is fantastic, Tim!
Nice tie as always and like that you don’t waste any lead when applying it.

Great job. Looking forward to meeting you at the Pleasanton Fly show in February.
I'm going to load up on this fly for the spring. It's so easy to tie you can get alot of them done in less time. Thanks for this :).

I love that ultra hi Tech dubbing brush I have the same exact one
Great job!!! Just tried to buy some of those beads tonight in my fly shop had none!
Nice comparison on different beads.
Heard ya in wet fly swing! I hope you surpass you goal for subscribers!
Can your next fly be a game changer? Would really like to see how you tie it because you always give helpfull tips
Simple fly that simply works. A Firehole 520 hook and a Canadian Llama Head Turner Bead will give a really nice balanced design.
My favorite pattern for on Letort, tied super small (20,22's) and sparse.

I just received my hooks and bead to tie this. Do I need to use a loop when fishing it?
What would be a comparable hook to the ones you’re using? I can’t compare Fulling Mill to any of the hook compare charts I have.
Thanks,
Dave
Ultra high tech dubbing brush, lol

EXACTLY George & Mr.Watt, although if it pans out I might have enough for a week in Montana😂
I'm having trouble finding these beads do you have a list of sources
What do you use to hold your ultra wire on the spool?
Pro Bands from Get a Drift Outdoors. Awesome in all sizes.
