Do note that majority of Oz's viewers aren't familiar with SC2 so I had to cut out large parts where he was explaining who life was.

What Life and Savior did to both Starcraft games cannot be overstated just how much they both of the scenes. Life is the reason why Sc2 is dead in korea as the matchfix there made sponsors pull out, causing a snowball effect of Koreans just going somewhere else like League. Savior's match fixing happened when Sc2 was front and center with it being a new game, which made it even harder for it to keep a float, causing very few tournaments to happen until 2016 from what I can see. Game didn't make a revival until 2016

sc2 popularity was way down in Korea since at least after WoL, but the matching incident was what put nail the coffin. He accelerated the cause of death and sudden career loss for many progamers/aspiring progamers, but the signs were there as early as 2014.
However, the renewal for proleague was all but done for 2018 and they were working on several big projects in attempt to overturn the downfall and those were all in final works before life matchfixing incident just cancelled it all. (From Stork-sea stream) I assume it would have ran at least until 2019 if it was renewed at 2018 and that's fairly huge life extension if it wasn't for the matchfixing incident.

Very popular opinion. Now please notice what's going on on GSL, not just play-off, in group stages. Nonsense loses like Zest recalling his entire army into Armani's army and spores, here and there. From recent, herO a-moving his probes into Cure's widowmines, Solar donating 15 lurkers for no reason vs herO.
Life's case didn't just kill sc2 support in Korea, it also allowed organizers do their "business" under mask of "matchfixing intolerance"

@@jinjinBW This comment kills my soul 😭to know that there was a chance of a proleague revival has changed my perspective on this incident that I still truly do not grasp the gravity of. Thanks for everything you do for StarCraft and to bridge this gap of understanding, even after the fact.

Whoa, blast from the past. Cool to see Oz again. I still remember his first Code A run and a couple of his great days in gstl for FXO.

Life was a legit GOD of the game in 2012-2014. He won back to back MLG Dallas LANs. It is a shame he took a dive. No one used lings better in SC2, he was truly brilliant.

"officially" yes, but truthfully no probably?
Some examples from BW where other pro players say most of them got off scott free with huge profit are around. Crocus for example, got slapped on wrist while he had enough money to use army of lawyers to scrub his name off of internet. Savior claimed to have only gotten rudimentary sum of money while wearing only brand-name and luxury goods on stream lol.
So most likely made huge profit than suggested pittance of ~3-30k or so more you were invovled
