Chick Heard is well deserving of the number 1 spot. Born and raised in L.A., I've been a fan since I was a kid during the West/Chamberlain era all the way through Showtime and beyond. Chick was there to call every play. Whenever the Lakers were on a network broadcast that featured another announcer, everyone I knew would turn down the TV volume and listen to Chick on the radio instead. Nobody could call a game like Chick and he did it for so many years and through so many eras. When you've listened to Chick Hearn for so many years, a Laker game just doesn't sound right without him. RIP to the greatest.
