I've practiced Pistol Tempest rotations for hours and hours against the DPS Golem. Meanwhile, Masel posts a button-mash Fire Wizard meme Tempest build, and it does essentially the same damage. You love to see it. Thanks for the build!

Thanks for the video! Was using a similar build, but could increase the DPS a bit thanks to switching to Glyph of Elemental Power because of your video. A question regarding the equipment that you used: The linked Tempest build is full Viper/Trapper. When checking your wiki for Fire Tempest under "Gear" you use a combination of Viper/Sinister with Balthazar runes. I assume the full Viper/Trapper is the one used in the video?
Asking because I'm trying to find out where I lose 2k ;D only reached 36k dps so far.
Why focus over warhorn? Is there a significant difference in dps?
Powerful and ez builds! I love it! One question: given that the dps is mainly from burning: wouldn't it be more powerful to use balthazar runes and swap some viper pieces to sinister?
Would you suggest using Pistol over Scepter?

Nice video. What type of armor would you recommend to make him more survivable but still do damage. For open world not instanced content?
You don't need to change anything in terms of gear. I have written guides for catalyst and tempest for open world on my wiki:

I would say celestial
@missk1697 celestial is expensive, can't be used in instanced content (especially raids) makes you weaker there and is not needed at all. It also doesn't have expertise on its trinkets in exotic quality.
It's a luxury set you can get when you have money. The tempest build maintains a 40% damage reduction from protection anyway, and using elemental bastion instead will provide consistent healing from auras.
If you want to make sure to cover protection, use elemental shielding in earth.
Those changes don't cost anything and make you more survivable than a full set of celestial gear.
@@MaselMMO I agree you don't NEED celestial, but dude asked a simple question so I gave him a simple answer. Maybe he has legendary pieces or bunch of resources laying around. Besides celestial light armor set can be transfered to scourge, which is a legit fractal hybrid build.

But focus enables fully ranged 😊
Truth be told warhorn has more utility but the offensive & defensive support benefits more from it
@@Cross_111 For catalyst focus is important, as focus 5 allows you to cap 10 stacks of elemental empowerment while camping fire. You won't be able to do that with warhorn!
