The more I listen to this story the more it sounds like the flower girl chose them on purpose. She must've done that to several people before. With most of them just giving her the money. I've heard stories like this from my uncle before, who's a seaman. Like, one time, a guy asked them if he can take a photo of him and his friend. They agreed, but after the photo was taken the guy asked them to pay him.
That flower scam thing is very common in bigger/touristy Europan cities, sadly. When we went on school trips our teachers always explicitly warned us not to take flowers if people offer them, too...
They did this to my brother in the Dominican Republic too, it's kinda like a forced transaction where they throw the product at you and ask you to pay for it. Only reason they got my brother was because he was drunk lol. He came back to the hotel room and asked me for cash, i asked why, he explained, then grabbed a half drunk bottle of Rum and asked me if he could trade the rum for the bracelet.

Me and my friend were just quietly walking down the street, going to the supermarket to buy some food for the store we had then suddenly this lady "bumped" into my friend and started asking my friend to pay her "ruined necklace" worth 300 pesos (I believe this is almost 6 dollars when converted into US Dollars). When my friend didn't give her the money because she don't have any, she started yelling, making a scene on the streets so of course people would start to look at us. We still ignored her and crossed the street towards the supermarket. We didn't know the lady had followed us to the entrance of the supermarket and she suddenly grabbed my friend by the shoulder and this time, she's now forcing my friend to pay for her necklace, which honestly, looked really cheap since it's a plastic necklace, one typically you'd get free from cosmetic brand magazines or whatnot. Anyways, back to the story, since the lady started to get aggressive, I decided to body block my friend because I realized that the lady purposely targeted my friend because she's wearing a fancy looking outfit. So yeah, I body blocked my friend so the lady wasn't able to hurt my friend. A policeman showed up, who happened to be guarding near the supermarket and intervened. He told us to run away because he clearly saw how much we're in danger so we did what he asked and probably ran to the other side of the supermarket. Obviously, we'd stop so we can catch our friend but nope, the lady still didn't give up. She still followed us and grabbed my friend by the hair and pulled her a bit away from me. Since this was unexpected, my friend accidentally dropped her sling bag and seeing this, the lady let go of my friend and tried to grab the bag, fortunately I was really close to the bag so I immediately stomped on her hand and grabbed the bag. The policeman was also with us in the office so they were able to ask him if what the lady was telling is a lie and he confirmed that we were the ones being assaulted. At this moment, my friend's parents came and waited for us outside the office. Bro don't do it politely, don't even reject them just ignore and walk away. The moment you talk to them or even seemed remotely friendly they'll keep pestering you because you're deemed coercible enough. All love though
When I went to Italy and Greece, I distinctly remember our tour guide telling us not to take anything somebody freely gives us because they’re probably a scammer. It also kind of reminds me of this scary incident that happened in my hometown. I had just pulled up to get some boba after a long day of work. When I exited my car, there was a peddler right there waiting for me. He was on a bike and had a big bag of almonds. He kept insisting I take the almonds. It sounded like he wasn’t very good at English, so all I could reply with was “no”. And when it looked like my words weren’t getting to him, I made an X with my arms to physically express my thoughts. That whole interaction felt like it took 5 or 10 minutes even though it probably wasn’t anywhere near that number. Confrontational people like that scare the hell out of me. My hometown isn’t a tourist destination and a lot of middle-to-upper class people live here, so I never would have expected running into somebody like that. That just goes to show this type of scam can happen to anybody and not just tourists.
Damn. I guess Mika is really that introverted. This was a good learning experience for Mysta thought. When people just give you something outta suddently, suspect.
It's such a well known scam here in Europe as well. Thankfully I had a brother to tell me how to behave in these situations "in the big city" and how to be assertive otherwise I would have been confused the first time as well. Just don't even acknowledge them, and if they try to push stuff in my hand I let it fall to the ground. It seems brutal but you literally have to ignore that they exist.

I remember my nan mentioning they followed her for ages until my dad showed up and basically got rid of them. Throughout the years we've learned to just speedwalk past anyone like that lol
Ughhh that sucks that they had to go through that. The same thing happened to my friend and I except with some bracelets. The guy put the on really tight and in a way so that we couldn't take them off, he also said that if we took them off our friendship would break and then asked us to pay. We were like 16 and barely had any chage to pay for them and go back home that evening.
I encountered something like this years ago. This happened to me and my mother. I didn’t take the flower though because I thought it’s sus. I tried to told my mother to not receive it but it’s too late. And that flower lady was very furious. As my mom tried to put the flower back into her hand, she scratched my mom’s hand! Perhaps because there were just me, a kid, and my mom that made she got even cockier. I remember how mad I was, about that lady and my mother. I was not that scared there. All I could think was go fking away, but I was just a brat at that time! Fortunately, she went away because the guide and other tourists in the group came to us.
For someone so introverted to be willing to put himself out there for his friend is definitely Chad. May have lost a 20 but definitely proved himself as a damn good man and a damn great friend.
Good on Mysta, honestly. I get people being desperate, but a clear line has to be drawn. Especially if you’re a foreigner because people definitely notice it. On a side note? I’ve watched a lot of Nijisanji clips and all of them had one thing in common…the friendship is real. Like it is ungodly real.
Ok so I kinda had a similar experience where I was on vacation with my mom and outta nowhere a Woman also approached us. She legit threw two scarfs on my mom’s shoulder and asked for like around 100 US dollars in our currency. We were also pretty fucking clueless to what’s happening since she was just staring at us waiting for something as if we owe her anything. We refused to buy whatever she threw at us but THEN she refused to take the scarfs back(???). In the end we walked back to our hotel with the two scarfs while she was following us, she was stopped at the entrance though. Then came tomorrow I learnt that many people were scammed like this in this specific tourist area. Still mad till today since she was not only rude to my mom but also so fucking clingy following us and even chasing us so I can understand Mysta.
Dunno where they went, but most scammers in tourist areas aren't alone. Best to just ignore them and walk away. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING. If they offer something, just drop it and walk away.

Man kinda reminded me of that time that I made a scene because someone was harassing a friend of mine and the one harassing was beaten up by some drunkards who heard me. I knew it was mean but I never even stopped them from beating him up and instead joined in. Cops came and we were brought to the station and he got imprisoned because it wasn't his first time doing such act. My friend was worried the whole time because I might get a criminal record meanwhile I was at the police station having the widest grin. That was so satisfying

I’ve seen this in France and I had someone literally grab me by the wrist and try to tie a bracelet around it and then ask for money. We were on a school holiday and my friend went ballistic on them before the teacher even noticed lol
French scammers are notoriously obnoxious,
However taking your phone out of your pocket is a surprisingly effective scare tactic,
Since they don't want you to take their picture..
@@BramLastname And more often than you think they are actually not french people. They are those type of scammer in all the "great" country of EU and they more than often not from the country where they are scamming people.
@@loupnoir10 I know,
It's just called that because everyone knows there's a lot of them in Paris,
But obviously they're not exclusive to France.
His stuttering and the way he repeats himself is just so cute to me☺️
I can totally understand why Mysta got into protective mode. Mika has social anxiety which she mentioned on her side of the story. For scammers and con artists like this to take advantage of people is ridiculous.😡
It's so sweet for me to hear how protective he was, and how seeing Mika scared made him act. He's such a good person, really
someone in chat said "20 for a fucking weed?" I lost my shit
HES SUCH A GOOD BRO TO MIKA🥲 he is also THE STANDARD!😤
Ya know i kinda like Mysta and Mika together. Wether it be just friendship or a romantic relationship ill always support them.
Approveee
MYSTA DID THE RIGHT THING TBH, i mean who would pay 40 dollars for two flowers that they can get from the ground. IM SO GLAD HE STOOD UP FOR MIKA THOUGH BECAUSE SHE WAS SCARED
in my country thats worth 2,175
or 2672 bcuz its pounds
Mika gave $26 to some crazy lady to make her go away and was absolutely terrified and the lady kept demanding more. Good on Mysta for being aggressive!
The audacity literally if they were needing actual money don't force someone to give you money like- what?
It's a scam.
@@purutine5087 scam yes or no still why do people even do this sht 😭
They can only get money through that maybe. They don't have stable job, homeless, etc. Many reasons. Just stay away from this scam.
@@Scar4m0uch1 around here they're sometimes referred to as French style scams,
It's literally just guilt tripping for the sake of getting as much money out of you as possible.
They're genuinely just being forceful because if they give you the chance to rationalise the situation you won't pay them.
Mysta when he saw Mika scared and started being an older brother is just so adorable...we all need a Mysta in our life "If you wanna give anyone money, you tell me first" GAWD DAMN ALRIGHT KUYA MYSTA JEEZ
I would have been like Mika in that situation, even if I couldn't afford it. I literally can't handle confrontations, I cease the fuck up and just do whatever people tell me to do.
As a rule of thumb,
If you're gonna pay your way out,
Give them 10 and leave.
People who deserve the money won't bother you,
The rest are scam artists who already make too much money.
@@BramLastname if they kept pressuring me to pay more I wouldn't be able to stand up to them is the problem..
@@KaiSub just throw whatever they gave back at them and they'll be too busy with picking it up to bother you any more.
@@BramLastname If I ever go to a tourist area I'll try to remember this, lmao.
Just run.
BRUH WTF SOMEONE SAID "I hate Mika" in the chat like BRO WTF yall asking for a death wish mann let Mika be mika she doesn't need hate just because she hangs out with the guys
MYSTA WAS SO NICE PROTECTING MIKA THEY HAVE LIKE THE BEST FRIEND RELATIONSHIPP BRU
SAME I SAW IT TOO LIKE I WAS SO MAD 🙃
these types of scams are unfortunately really common in places like france or vietnam :/ if someone gives you something there/offers you a service/makes you pick up something, etc. please refuse it !! it's most likely a scam
It’s so common in Europe. There’s even one where they put a bracelet on you and make you pay for it.
@@bbkiki8480 this literally happened to my best friend when we were on a school trip in Rome and his brain was too slow to process anything. Fortunately I was able to get him away without leaving a single Cent. Fucking hate scammers like that who force themselves and their cheap trash on you
If someone gives me something I'll just say thanks and leave, if they wanted money they should say so before hand otherwise their just giving it away.
Vietnam too?? I’m a Vietnamese but I’ve never experienced nor heard about anything like that. The only kind of scam I know is souvenir sellers and taxi drivers asking for high fee because foreigners aren’t accustomed to Vietnam’s currency.
i need a mysta in my life.
i just genuinely love and grow such respect for people who protect others when they notice how in trouble they are, like Mysta said he's not confrontational but went out of his way to try and get Mikas money back, i really respect that.
I LOVE HOW HE TREATS MIKA LIKE HIS OWN SISTER 😭❤️ THATS SO CUTE OMG
Mysta is best boy. Ready to go full Karen in defense of Mika.
That woman was lucky Mysta is also genuinely kind. My first instinct would've been to grip the hand holding the 20 until I heard a pop.
If someone grabbed or followed me,
I'd definitely make it really clear I am not above punching strangers.
Gosh, this should be my reminder that everywhere I take a tour, just reject politely what anynomous people give to me 😅 People can be unpredictable sometimes sheesh
Bro don't do it politely, don't even reject them just ignore and walk away. The moment you talk to them or even seemed remotely friendly they'll keep pestering you because you're deemed coercible enough. All love though
@@hossierdaddie4717 Facts, try to get rid of them as possible and less conversation.
This is basically robbing. They were robbed. What Mysta said was not mean at all.
Agree. Those people make 100s a day.
he's giving me "protective bestie" vibes and I love it💅✨
Mysta is so kind for protecting Mika
Okay, but the fact that Mista tried to protect Mika because she was scared and even tried to get her money back is really respectable. 🧡
HES SUCH A GOOD BIG BRO 😭😭
It's such a well known scam here in Europe as well. Thankfully I had a brother to tell me how to behave in these situations "in the big city" and how to be assertive otherwise I would have been confused the first time as well. Just don't even acknowledge them, and if they try to push stuff in my hand I let it fall to the ground. It seems brutal but you literally have to ignore that they exist.
The most angry he's ever been was when he got worried over Mika.
Damn that's big sibling energy!
This is fantastic.
this is the first time i heard this story and OMG socially awkward mysta was SOOOOO ready to throw hands LOVE THAT FOR HIM
HELP HES SO PROTECTIVEE if youve seen mikas side of the story she mentioned that she noticed that in this situation Mysta stood between mika and the lady🥹💛
Mika is just scared attracting attention and i love how mysta just jumped in to help- as long as no one was harmed that's alr ^^
This is probably cringe to say but Mysta's future partner will be lucky to have him.
That’s sweet bro
mysta was like a badass Main character in some anime😂
This makes me realize everyone doesn't go overboard and threaten to spray alcohol in people's eyes when they are threatened
This is the most top energy I've ever seen Mysta exude!
I'm new to luxiem community and didn't know mysta is this protective sweetheart person awww (the most that i always see from him is his choatic nonsense behavior 😂) *this is so cute actually!*
All of the Luxiem boys are quite protective of their peers,
It's just that on stream there's usually no reason to act protective.
@@BramLastname yeah, that's actually wholesome :) after watching few clips about them, i can say they're all kinda protective in their own ways, some probably not really obvious but literally make me soft watching it
Waa I'm so glad he has Mika's back he's so adorable 😭😭
Aww i love their dynamic a lot
these women are everywhere where I live and where I used to live they usually have men waiting around them to follow people who refuse to pay and intimidate them (usually when it's a lone woman or a younger/visibly weaker person) until they give in. I remember my nan mentioning they followed her for ages until my dad showed up and basically got rid of them. Throughout the years we've learned to just speedwalk past anyone like that lol
I knew mysta is good person but this just solidivides it even more
im pretty sure i know what bridge this is because i was on it last month and there was a flower lady-
That tourist trap that shove item in your hand and force you to pay ridiculous amount???

Awww mista is so fucking sweet! I feel so bad for Mika.
loll i love this man😂😂😂
Mysta is scary when he’s angry
Ughhh that sucks that they had to go through that.
The same thing happened to my friend and I except with some bracelets. The guy put the on really tight and in a way so that we couldn't take them off, he also said that if we took them off our friendship would break and then asked us to pay.
We were like 16 and barely had any chage to pay for them and go back home that evening.
HIS BIG BRO SENSES WERE WORKING THATS SO CUUUTE!!!!!
Aww mysta just so sweet, i hit for mysta and mika together
AWWW MYSTA IS SO PROTECTIVE
RESPECT FOR MYSTA FOR STANDING MAKING A SCENE- I wish I have a boy like MYSTA😭😭
I was mad about my mother because of her unvigilant behavior, especially in foreign countries. I was just worried about her fyi
Nah I don't blame him, I heard that's a big scam for foreigners in other countries 😭
For someone so introverted to be willing to put himself out there for his friend is definitely Chad. May have lost a 20 but definitely proved himself as a damn good man and a damn great friend.
BRUH 40 FOR TWO FLOWERS IS A SCAM I’D TAKE THE FLOWER AND LEAVE HELL NAW
It’s a tourist scam. They even put the bracelets on you so you can’t get them off.
Mika: “it’s fine, it’s ok! It’s fine.”
Mysta: *no*
REMIND ME TO NOT MESS WITH THIS MAN 💀✋🏻
in these places, never take whatever thing they held out
MYSTAS SO COOL OMGG!!!! SASUGAAAA!!
Seeing the chemistry in their friendship makes me smile knowing they're the best of friends
AW HE'S LOOKING OUT FOR HER
This is the man we come back for. We simp the Rias. We'll miss the Rias. 🧡🧡🧡
And that’s ,
**how u tame a foxy 🤪**
I feel like this everyday because of my brother
Mysta giving me the big brother energy 😭
Dunno where they went, but most scammers in tourist areas aren't alone. Best to just ignore them and walk away. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING. If they offer something, just drop it and walk away.
Bro that’s so sweet. Mysta has such a good heart. He’s like an older brother too Mika💕
I saw mika's pov of the story first like weeks ago? And now I saw this ty for posting! And also damn he's an introvert we all know that and he stood up for mika good boy mysta LMAO in mika's pov she told us all of how scared she was it was very traumatic I can tell Imagine if mysta wasn't there poor mika..
“So go fucking feed it yourself” Omg I was laughing so hard at this part I can’t 😭😭
Mysta mad dog XD, lady wouldve gotten rich that day if he wasnt there tho.
I love how he was mad bc mika was scared thats so cute
Man kinda reminded me of that time that I made a scene because someone was harassing a friend of mine and the one harassing was beaten up by some drunkards who heard me. I knew it was mean but I never even stopped them from beating him up and instead joined in. Cops came and we were brought to the station and he got imprisoned because it wasn't his first time doing such act. My friend was worried the whole time because I might get a criminal record meanwhile I was at the police station having the widest grin. That was so satisfying
mysta is such a sweet and caring person
i just checked how much 20 pounds was in my currency and apparently i could have a literal buffet at this hotel close to me that woman rlly tried to scam them this much ????
mysta was insanely brave tho i wouldnt have the balls to stand up for myself let alone for someone w me
It's normal to have 20 pounds on you,
But it's not an acceptable amount to ask of someone.
If this lady actually needed the money she'd ask for 10 at most.
"Pay me! pay me!" My ass, I would've passed that shit right back. Fuck out with that bullshit lmao
It take a while for him to process the situation but when it kick in, Mysta can handle it
Mansss to have a mysta in ur life as ur friend
20 pounds is literally 1.3k in my country wth-
thats so cute wtf mysta has such big brother energy
dude its actually so sweet what
Even though she got the money, Mysta had a gigachad moment that I respect
This story made me so mad that i took 200+ steps and 2 hours to finish
