I think the region flappy pedals are done like that because down shift slows down the car and upshift makes is like releasing brakes making it go faster. Same like on a petrol car.

That's fair - quite a silly statement from me really

Another great video, I once took the Lexus RZ from Glasgow to England and back. I like the tan interior with the soft plush door cards.

Thanks and wow that's a big journey, how did you find it?

@GenuinelyLAS travelling was fine, my challenge was finding a charger in Carlisle that was operational that day (at would provide enough charge). From memory I spent an hour going to various public chargers

Respect mate, it's about time we had an effing honest motah reviewer who isn't all about 'Power'. For me the RZ is perfect for local driving, shops, school run etc, for longer runs I'd go for the RX450h+, no range worries and you still get the 'Lexus experience'. *Subscribed*

Thank you Bob! I really appreciate that - it means a lot. I agree, it’s a very good car for those things and having access to a UX or RX for range anxiety inducing moments is such a win

    Great review!
The lower range numbers are okay for my situation, so the RZ would be a perfect car for around town, and I would use my other (plug-in hybrid) vehicle for longer trips.
(I think the regenerative braking paddles reflect back to paddle shifters on regular transmission vehicles where the left (“-“) paddle would downshift the transmission and would cause the vehicle to slow down. Just a guess.)
    Thanks for the great review!

Thanks Dave, I appreciate you watching!
I think that's the perfect situation for the RZ and it's such a good car in that respect - you beat Lexus Reserve to it!
Agreed on the paddles, it does make total sense I think I was just being a bit thick haha! Thank you again!

i love this car but its to small in the front cabin area for larger people, and secondly in america this car is 67,000 us dollars thats a lot of money for a car that only gets 196 miles on a single charge, if lexus improves the size in the front cabin and adds more more range and battery life i would buy one in a minute, but until it does i,m going with some one else

I agree, it feels like they missed what seemed like a bit of an open goal...
I'll be reviewing it's Toyota twin the bZ4X very soon to see how it stacks up!
