This video takes me back to what must've been 2011? 2010? Back when I thought I knew everything about clocks when I actually knew very little! Thanks for the memories.
I saw this on top of Alpine Alpa when I was a kid. It's since been moved to the center of town in Sugarcreek. I'll be taking my kids to see it in a week or so...
Uh oh, I think the part of the accordion is missing. I think the drummer man with two cymbals cannot move. I believe the cello player is not moving at all. Also, The Sugarcreek man is not moving his right arm because, he can't move. Unfortunately, the tuba player cannot move.
This is not the worlds largest clock , Triburg Germany in the Black forest actually has the largest which is 3 stories tall and is the face of house of 1000 clocks !
Alpine - Alpa was sooooooo awsome. I could always tell when we were getting close because all the moving billboard signs. Then before you go inside this animitronic lady would pop out above the doors and was like "Welcome to Alpine-Alpa" and inside the restraunt was AMAZING with all the trains going trew the alps. I also remember watching the cheese makers. So cool!
I took my kids out to this restaurant today. I had heard that it was moved across the road. But - it's gone! Thanks for putting up this video though. I was able to show my kids what I got to see as a kid. Hopefully this contraption re-emerges somewhere.
When was about 7 years old me and my sister were up here watching the clock and when the figures were done and retreating into the clock the base drum broke off the drummer and rolled off the stage. I leaned over the rail, picked it up and carried into the gift shop. Was just at the old Alpine Alpa the other day and was sad to see it was closed.
To me it looked liked everyone looked so ''thrilled'' to be there (10 years earlier).......No one knows the original music to this. I got several links but no go. Also, other same as clocks had the ompa band animated. This clock did have the char's but none moved 'cept for the actual dancers. In classic car auctions? ( Barrat/Jackson) That would've been at least a 10 to 15 k fuck up
It's a shame that entire property is closed and for sale and has been for about 2 years or more now. I remember seeing the clock inside the restaurant. Let's hope someone buys the place and fixes everything up.
Yeah it was good I guess however if they were going to go that far they should have at least had the band more animated instead of just standing their moving their heads. It looks like they were broken or something.
8 track tape. I thought it was a mechanical Carnival organ of some sorts but the mayor of Sugarcreek said it was an 8-track tape. That's a great question because I wondered for years until I finally asked.
It's gone now. It lost it's charm when they sold the restaurant to new owners and they got rid of a lot of things. They made some great Fontina and Baby Swiss cheese there in the day!
@@BukuiZhao Yep, I heard they bought it and fixed it up for their town. Warther Carving Museum nearby at Dover is a good place to visit too. Too bad no one took up the cheese factory. Their Fontina cheese was my favorite.
0:47 this is my favorite part when there is a plastic lady spinning around the man with a great music 🎶

What street was it on? I am trying to find it on google maps
@@Extremelybadpiggies It was 1504 Route 62. Wilmount, Oh.
Thanks, it’s now a church and I went to the years 2009 and 2008, I see a sign say alpine, but no alpa, I blame it on the bad quality.

What a beautiful thing!
I'm not sure that I would have the patience to sit and watch this.
Wonder if that’s electric inside
It is.

Na Golici (Trompetenecho)

I've been there a couple times. It's a great place to visit if you happen to go to Ohio.
Fast Forward to 1:29.
It is bigger than our cuckoo clock in our living room.
I saw one of these for sale in a charity shop in Oxford !
the worlds really largest cuckoo clock is in Triber, Germany!!
Where is it?
The cuckoo clock sounds like it has an air powered orschestra in the clock. Its very nice sounding
tilman luther Great guess, but it was an 8 track radio cart (tape) Speakers were behind the crowd :)
I thought it was an air-powered music box too and I was very disappointed when I found out it was a tape
I't does. But to this day no one can actually ID the actual music. Sure I got links, and i'm happy for em but it isn't the same tune
Na Golici (Trompetenecho)
