Black Forest Cuckoo Clock

- On our recent trip to Germany, we spent several days in the Black Forest. Of course, I had to get a cuckoo clock. I had it shipped, and it arrived on Friday. This way, I can stop the pendulum and make "Time Stand Still!"
These clocks always make me smile. I'll have to get my hands on one somehow.

I love it so much I sit in a chair sometimes and wait for the cuckoo to come out. Am I crazy? I don't care!

For a housewarming present my girlfriend bought me a cuckoo clock. It's quartz movement and doesn't have the mechanical functionality of a traditional clock, but it's still black forest and handmade, and there's a bird, so I'm happy. If anyone wants a cuckoo clock, the quartz movement ones are a good starting point.

It's out of beat... position the clock on the wall until the Pendulum goes tick-tock... tock tock tock tock.... It may only be an inch off.
It's not quite level. You can tell because the ticks aren't even. It's like tick-tick (pause) tick-tick (pause).
I just got back from Dresden, Germany. The cuckoo clocks there were anywhere from €350 to €650

nice clock. sounds slightly out of beat. try moving the clock left or right on the wall until a nice even tick is obtained. if clock looks wonky, then youll have to settle for an uneven tick a i dont know how to put a cuckoo clock in beat so that it sits straight!
i hope i can go to the black forest one day i have one that keeps excelent time i got off ebay and every body knows during ww2 and the Vietnam if soldiers were stationed near a cuckoo clock dealer alot of the time they would bring back a clock for there lover and thats what happen to my grandma and i have her clock all it needs is a minute hand and the hour hand resucure same with the face the number one and thats it cant wait to see it fixed :)

my black forest cukoo only cukoo's once no matter what time it is. it used to do it say five times if it was five o'clock, but now it only does it once. any thoughts on what i have to do? thanks :)
