Man this were the days, funk was big and this music could keep you hooked to the radio, no Facebook, tweeter but guys still got hooked up when going for a gig big Kenyan deejays dj Pinye at club jungle.
Ya kid k has one of the iconic voices of the 90s kinda like Kurt Cobain you hear her and you know exactly who It is. Although as a youngin thought she was a 10 year old boy!
"One, two, I'm a party dude," young me was 100% sure she said, confirming the vocalist was a young lad. It probably helps that I was not too much younger than I assumed the vocalist was and wanted to be cool too, haha
My dance teacher used to give us technotronic EXCLUSIVELY for our dances! 👍😊 💃 We did some AMAZING dances to these songs!! I miss those days too, ya’ll! 💖
It's basically the same people as Technotronic. Jo Bogaert and Ya Kid K. For Technotronic, Bogaert wanted to use the face of a model as the frontwoman. That's why Ya Kid K is not in the video or in early performances. After Technotronic had several hits, they reversed thT decision and started showcasing Ya Kid K as the frontwoman.
I must have listened to this song 100 times on the turtles soundtrack growing up. Imagine my surprise when I found the full version and there were references to weed in it. 😅🌴
Trust me, these tunes rock the dance floor when you have the right crowd that appreciated house music. When you do get the chance, throw in some Yaz, 2 without hats-Esa loca, Party line, and look for some Chicago underground house 87/89. 🎵🙌🏾
Mais um clássico da house music que curti e dancei bastante. Excelente! Bombou entre 1989 e 1990, os melhores anos de minha juventude. Recordar é viver!
Exatamente. Eu estava lá e confirmo. A dobradinha 89/90 é inesquecível. Capella, Lee Marrow, Plaza... só quem viveu sabe como foi maravilhoso. Sou de 77, tenho 46 anos e lembro de cada uma delas.
Wow. When I was 4-5 years old, my older sisters (by 11 and 13 years) would get me to dance to whatever I liked. Man, did I ever bust a move. They loved watching me, too! I thought I was all that, man... they pop this tape in, and I'd start dancing in our living room. The mere fact that it was from the TMNT soundtrack made it even sweeter! Simpler times........ now I have to pay bills, and do adult stuff. Damn. :(
TMNT, American Ninja, Ninja Mission, Ninja Scroll, Ninja III - The Domination, Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja Hunter, Damn I miss Old School Cinema 🎥 So Much 😢🙏
I listened to this marterpiece was in 1995 the very first time. In my country people would watch so many tv programms that came out from House and Eurodance then suddenly this song got my mind completely. I'm a lover of this music Eurodance/Techno, Techno House. The age is being changed by children's today, but they're never gonna know how much important were those songs to us.
I've been watching this specific link since late 2006 and thank you so much @mea2005 for uploading this back then. it means so much man and well done for having this up here for so long :)
She would beat every female MC from this generation, ver voice is unique, beautiful and you can fall in love with itl, she's not yelling or pushing words, she's one of the best female MC's
That line was actually cut from the record in America because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was how the song ever got released there and the main demographic of that was little boys.
@@RocStarr913 thats really interesting because I thought that line really worked with the tone of the movie. Then again this was a few years into the "war on drugs" so I can understand.
now 51 years old ,and still this tune rocks me!
I'm 51 now as well when I close my eyes and listen to this I'm back in 1989 giving it all I can on the dance floor!
This song sucks massive 🌭 😆
Same age- was getting in all the big night clubs from the time I was 18 (whoops !) and this is from the REAL Ecstasy days lol

That Turtles soundtrack was 100% bangers
Footclan clubhouse was so rad. Skateboard ramps and all sorts of other cool shit.
This song predated the movie though.
@@Lank2thepast the mc hammer track is dope! 😎👍
@@RocStarr913 so? It was still on there
The 80's 90's Generation was listening to this in the Clubs
I was a teenager when this song started playing hard on the radio.
I can't believe that time went by so fast.
Sure!!!!!! Now I'm old enough,
the wheel did spin fast
I was almost 14 years old when this song played on the radio in tandem with the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie (1990).
34 years later and it's still a banger 👌🏻
Man this were the days, funk was big and this music could keep you hooked to the radio, no Facebook, tweeter but guys still got hooked up when going for a gig big Kenyan deejays dj Pinye at club jungle.
This is one of the harder house songs they did. What an awesome song.
Ya kid k has one of the iconic voices of the 90s kinda like Kurt Cobain you hear her and you know exactly who It is. Although as a youngin thought she was a 10 year old boy!
Ya Kid K was only 17 at the time, so she wasn’t that much older.

Ya Kid K was not in the original "Pump Up The Jam" video is what I meant.
That melody on the keys is both off beat and on beat at the same time. Incredible. Jo Bogaert was a master at his craft
