Great video, I've heard this. With inflation and everything, it's getting harder and harder to save for retirement.
I know someone who's retired, and they're struggling. They say they wish they'd saved more when they were younger.
I started my SS at 62 1/2, my wife who is 20 months younger than me started at 62. With my pension for working 25+ years we're doing just fine.That was over 3 years ago & we never looked back. Haven't touched our investments other than to travel. I had two brothers die of cancer 3 years apart. One died at 62 & never drew a dime of his SS. The other died at at 65 & drew 10 months. Let's be honest here, the reason the Government is offering you a bigger payday at 70 is because they're banking on you not making it
I'm sorry about your brothers, Waiting for higher SS payouts can indeed feel risky. that's why it's important to consider planning for retirement early.
We should be all careful about all these letters, which is why i have a licensed advisor who crosschecks anything concerning my finance
The one thing you cannot buy is time. Yes, the gov't wishes not to pay SS.

LOL. I never saw that until you pointed it out. So now I have been photo bombed by a spider, squirrel and an inch worm!

My mom has taken letters and text messages to the bank. Especially when the messages say they are from the bank. Turns out they were a scam not from the bank. Even when I read the letter and then the text message I wasn’t sure if it was scam or not. My daughter now works at a bank and said they love it when people come in and ask if something is true or a scam. The employees hate seeing people scammed out of their money. You can also ask a police officer.
A good idea going to the bank. I'm glad your mom did this.

Definitely a scam. All they're doing is fishing for your info such as banks accounts. Write back to them stating this is a letter is from my uncle before he passed away stating that he fired you and hired Morgan and Morgan. 🤣🤣

OMG when my business fax worked, heck I'd get those daily from somewhere in Africa. I think other places too but mostly Africa! My poor mom with dementia would get calls that her grandson was in jail. Well she knew her grandson was flawlessly perfect so even with dementia (which btw does not mean you are stupid!), she knew there was no way it was possible. But, then she would either call me or her grandson to be sure. lol She got that call many times! Scary stuff though for sure!

That is a very poorly written scam letter. They need to take some courses in copy writing -:) I am amazed that people fall for this BS.
Many do, fall for this, sadly.
