    I lip grip em like I do bass. They’ll bite down on you but no teeth to poke you. Or you can hold them one handed with your thumb under one pectoral spike and two fingers around the other. But yeah those spikes can get ya if you aren’t careful. Some of them are serrated like on the channels so they can do some damage. But these guys have some nasty slime so its best to wear gloves in case they poke ya you wouldn’t want an infection. I’d say wear gloves and lip grip em, thats what I do. Cheers brother, awesome footage.

    That’s a bullhead! There’s tons of them out there... please dispatch them if you catch them, they deny other fish to spawn because they’re very defensive of their beds

    • @patrickbennett9511
      @patrickbennett9511 3 года назад +1

      that's actually not the proper practice, they're native fish, so they are not supposed to be killed, and are actually a big forage base for many fish

      @@BryanProkuski Looks to be a brown bullhead, which I think is the biggest of the three, I checked to see the state records for all of them because it's close to the black and yellow records.

    • @BryanProkuski
      @BryanProkuski  3 года назад +1

      @@patrickbennett9511 I thought so too , then looked at the lake survey on line and only yellow and black in this lake. Thinking may be a black then and if so, dang bet gave run for its money on the record.
