Phantasmaranae is pretty much the stuff of nightmares considering in Bayonetta 3 it's actually a hybrid between spider and a scorpion, Inferno is truly terrifying to birth the most horrific of monsters.
I find it interesting how despite being nightmare fuel, they aren't aggressive until provoked at least at the time of the first Bayonetta. Kind of like most real spiders.
I really wish they would’ve given more lore about Madama Khepri. Her design is so unique and there could’ve been so much to learn about Rosa’s past and contract with her. Sadly I don’t know if we’ll ever know more about her.

Madama Butterfly is one of the most fascinating demons in my opinion. She's one of the only demons not based on actual biblical/mythological beings or things. I also didn't know the tragic story behind her, it's pretty sad but I think it also adds more to the relationship between Madama and Bayonetta. They've both suffered hardships in a way, and I think the connection they share isn't entirely just a pact, but one of mutual respect. Especially because she sticks with Bayonetta even through the third game, and never betrays her. Interesting stuff in my opinion
Same here, Madama Butterfly is just so cool to me, she's so captivating and I'd love to see more about her meeting Bayonetta for the first time or even her becoming one of the most feared demons in Inferno.
Even though she's been transformed, she was human at one point so I feel this is why she is so loyal to Bayonetta because she is able to understand her emotions and mindset better. ❤️🦋
I think Madama Styx's wings still make sense because they look like Luna moth wings. Plus I just think it makes sense for Butterfly, and Styx to share the same wings, since Bayonetta, and Jeanne are so connected.
The Bayonetta series is no stranger to references to Devil May Cry(especially considering the Bracelet of Time used to be owned by Eva, wife of Sparda, mother of Dante and Vergil, and great aunt of Nero), as there are multiple iterations of the demons Bayo shared a pact with. Malphas had another alternative to him as a massive featherless chicken with three conjoined women atop serving Urizen in DMC5(came out nine years after Bayo 1), while Phantasmaranae was one of Phantom's offspring regardless of gender, and in the More About Infernal Demons video, Baal is one of the few frog-like demons since there's the multiple Baal and Dagons in DMC4(came out two years before Bayo 1).
Also Madama Styx could reference the Acherontia styx, a species of death's head hawkmoth, associated with the supernatural due to the human skull like mark the species has.
Very true and that's a really cool moth I haven't seen before, i just was aware of the luna moth's appearance and it looked very similar to Madama Styx's moths.

Gomorrah is also based on the Ultra Man Series Kaiju Gomora. Both have a draconic appearance and have a elephant roar. Gomorrah habitat the Johnson Forest alludes to the Johnson Islands where Gomora debuted.
I feel like Phantasmaranae could be inspired on the Tsuchigumo more, since its a giant spider yokai, Jorogumo are mostly known for their human disguise, so I assume the Tsuchigumo could be more direct inspiration.
Could the Little Devils be a reference to the stand Sex Pistols from Jojo? The are numbers 1-7 skipping the number 4. I know that Kamiya has referenced Jojo in some of this other games too.

Some of this Contracted Infernal Demons were based on Greek Myth, Egyptian, Folklore, and Ars Goetia Demons. Also some of them were modelled after the First DMC bosses with Malphas is based on Griffon while Phantamaraneae is based on Phantom. Also Malphas name would be used in DMC 5 as one of Demon Nero would Fought.

So wait, if Jeanne's soul is owed to Styx then how did it end up with Alraune? That aside, I assume you'll be doing the angels either next or after covering the lesser demons. Either way a spot of confusion I have is the wiki entry stating the angels Bayonetta fights are from the "Hierarchy of Laguna". I can't find any information as to what that means and how the different stock of angels in Bayonetta 2 factors into it. After all you'd think the angels of Laguna seeking to resurrect Jubileus would necessarily be a different faction to the angels aiding Loptr since both require the eyes for their ends, but if that's the case then why is there no declared distinction?
I'll address the latter in the angel video when I make it but to answer your first question. This is speculation and using what I know of the series, Jeanne was killed by an infernal demon which is forbidden by the contract the Umbran clan made with inferno. The witches promise to go to inferno in exchange for power. Some Umbra Witches make personal contracts like Jeanne and Madama Styx. Bayonetta mentions at least some of you are keeping your end of the contract and Madama Butterfly acknowledges this statement. So by this, I conclude that Madama Styx is a rational demon who wasn't going to punish Jeanne for something that wouldn't have happened if the demons were acting in accordance to the contract. I also like to think that the Madamas have a certain closeness with their contracted witches.

While the witches end up in Inferno the Madamas are specifically stated to claim ownership over the contracted witch's soul, and I do not think "punishment" would be applicable considering the alternative was Jeanne being consumed by a different demon and it wasn't Styx herself who attacked Jeanne. The degree of affection you refer to would translate into Styx keeping Jeanne's soul to be turned into a demon as is revealed possible by the description of Odette, but that would still require Jeanne to not have been devoured by Alraune.
When Rodin said that he was more implying the balance of power with the trinity was off due to Aesir's influence. Yeah, the contract entitles the Madamas to own their souls but Inferno is full of scavengers and thieves as well. Rodin has stated that if Bayonetta died he'd be all over her soul. So I was just making conjectures from what I remember. There is a lot of these worlds we don't know. One more point of contracted demons is they do not have to be loyal or fair, so that's why I said the Madamas have a form of connection with Bayonetta and Jeanne. The demon Malicious can be contracted but he is untrustworthy.
I would assume the reason Alraune even had a hold of Jeanne's soul was because of how Balder's death caused an imbalance by taking the right eye with him and how it was showcased with Gomorrah's summoning gone wrong along with the Phantasmaraneae going berserk. given Jeanne's almost unlucky fate, Rodin's statement about inferno remains true, to simply contract with the forces of Inferno is to have a terrifiying afterlife awaiting you.
I thought the angels in Bayo one were trying to resurrect Jubileous because if Balder... Which retroactively is because of Loptir. In Bayo 2 I thought the angels were just gone rogue because if Loptir starting to break reality. Pretty much what happened to Gomorrah, just for angels.

It’s cool they can talk now it’s not enochian I believe only 2 new ones if you even care stop reading now. kraken/crossbow weapon and witch tower / a huge weapon idek what it is a giant machine tower. If I made a demon it would be moloch and would be a giant mechanical bull oven like it was in real life. They used to feed babies and stuff to it for sacrifice and they would “die smiling” fire makes u do that sometimes when u die cause nerves if u look it up it is a huge bull headed thing. It would be a very unique design. Could smash stuff stuff inside it and have chains come out to pull stuff in it as well. Weapon would be a chain sword or a flame thrower different than undine. Im so bored im about to go ask off brand game stores for an early copy if it’s in stock
