I just watched this again. It's so great to see the film stocks in different situations. I would love to see one where you demonstrate 500T so we can see why the 200T is clearly the way to go.
Mat -- very nice, slightly warm, colors indoors -- especially with the panel light. But I'm really impressed by the really minimal grain and smoothness of the footage -- reminds me far more of student 35mm movie results than 16mm -- wow! What resolution did you have it scanned at?
@@FilmPhotographyProject -- Thanks! Yep -- the film (both) is obviously fine-grained and sharp enough that the 4K scans capture very good images. And then down-scaling it for RUclips produces a great 1080p image.
I am planning to get some Double 8 200t closer to the fall. Excellent for the Halloween and Comic Con seasons.
Great video guys! Love to see 16 mm getting used! I'm almost done with my first roll of it, can't wait to see it and finally be in the mm club!
Great video. Love the movie stuff.
I always look forward to seeing anything about 16mm films and could you do one with the processing lab work?
wish you guys sold this double perf! love this stock

Makes me want to get my 16BL going😊

Scanned 4k - 1920x1080 HD version used for this video.

In the Vietnam footage, I have the exact same editing equipment, but I don’t have a clue how to use it!
Hope to see another meetup in Cleveland sometime!!!
For sure!
Thanks for this. What camera/lens?
These are from the Arriflex 16ST with a kit of Schenider lenses: 10mm, 16mm, and 25mm.
500t would make the focusing thing easier though, by one stop :/ 200t is way smaller grain though.
