Question? So I bought Jewel today the worker had to go get 1 from the back and I couldn’t bring myself to ask her for a different 1 I thought the defects could be fixed but when I used nail polish remover to try remove the green stain on her leg it was lighting her skin tone in that spot. My fingernail was able to scrape most of the green off but I’m just bummed luckily my daughter reassured me that she still looks fine cause I was worried that I only made the situation worse. Luckily I think the dress & her skirt kind of hide it 🤞. Not sure what I should have tried instead. I couldn’t really scrape it off until after doing the nail polish remover. Unfortunately ours does have other green stains and paint defects but it’s pretty hidden so I’m not gonna fool with any of those. 🤗🤗🤗
She’s literally so gorgeous, gagging to the gods right now cause she is truly worth the 30 dollars. She ranked in the middle for me, but this video make her skyrocket to the top for me-
I’m really impressed with Jewel. I though she was uninteresting at first, but seeing all the details up close changed my mind (especially that gorgeous jacket).
Something about Jewel's face and eyes, to me she is the prettiest doll in the series. I want to get her along with either Meena or Delilah. I don't mind the original face mold, I even prefer it over the newer more narrow face sculpts. It's the makeup that makes all the difference, especially around the eyes.

Acetone is great for removing smudges on the face, but just like the eyes, DO NOT get acetone on the BODY of the doll. Acetone has a reaction to certain plastics that results in chemically burning the plastic. Most fashion doll's heads are made of vinyl, which is safe to use acetone on. A lot of doll customizers use acetone to wipe away factory paint before a face-up. If you soak a vinyl head in acetone (like, a day or so of soaking), it will swell up, then shrink and harden, so I wouldn't recommend letting acetone just sit on the RH head. (And if you try using this to shrink the head, then the eyes will be ruined if left in, or won't fit anymore if removed. (Yes, doll customizing boarders the twilight zone, lol.)) If you need to fix a body smudge for some reason, I'd recommend testing an acetone-free nail polish remover on the bottom of the foot to make sure it doesn't burn (never heard of this happening w/acetone-free, but just to be sure). Acetone-free nail polish remover works on both body and face paint, but it takes a LOOOT more scrubbing compared to acetone on the face paint. It will not simply wipe-off the paint like acetone can.
I don't have Vitiligo, but I do have something very similar (Tenea Versicolor!). I think this doll is such a good representation of the skin condition. I love that it is symetrical-ish, yet still organic looking (vitiligo is often symmetrical but not perfect). She's not my style fashion wise so I will probably pass on her, but I hope they will make more dolls with skin conditions!
Jewel is Gorgeous the shade of green is amazing 😊 but Meena Mila and Lila are a must have for my collection for now since there are way to many dolls releasing
I love that she's an Afro-Latina, or at least coded to be as such. Giving the dolls back stories really expands the meaning of what representation actually is. Any kids who have been taught the stereotype that people from Latin countries look one particular way will start to understand that this is not the truth through this doll. I love this doll! Green is not my favourite colour but I agree that this shade is just lovely! I can't wait to get my hands on her she's so beautiful 💚💚💚💚.
I just got her yesterday! She is super pretty, I was amazed when I noticed she represents vitiligo in such a great way, that among with the colour (which is part of my fave one) made me buy her and even I only collect SH dolls I do not regret anything!
She is absolutely gorgeous & is my number one. I can't wait to find her. She looks like the original face mold, especially with fave shimmer, but her lips seem more full.
I didn’t realize that she was from Puerto Rico, this makes me so happy. All my relatives are from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 so finally someone I can connect with :) I haven’t found her yet in stores but I can’t wait to find her :)

I spilled some acetone a while back while cleaning up a doll, and it hit a styrofoam cup I'd been using for painting...that was one of the worst messes I've ever made lol. I had melted goop mixed with purple paint all over the place.
Def want Jewel & Delilah so far I have Lila & Meena. Hoping Target will have a coupon. I guess the SH twins are probably worth trying to find now for those who really want them right now cause I heard they’re $50 but it could change to $70 🤦🏻♀️ Ainsley at my Target scanned at $49.99 I haven’t found the twins yet but I think I can wait and hope for a sale in the future. 🤞👍👍👍
