Jewel is actually seen in episode 6 of season 3. She makes the twins jaw drop, calling her by name (which later reveals she’s a celebrity)

That emerald green colour... stunning! This is the first doll that I remember seeing with this colour! I really like her hair and her eyes! She is really beautiful! I wasn't so impressed with the first outfit, didn't really like the dress but I liked the shoes, the necklace and the fur! When you put on the second outfit, it all came together for me!! Loved the jacket and the skirt!! Really cool details on them! I agree with you, the second outfit would look better with the first shoes on!! Overall, I really like Jewel!! I was really looking forward to your Jewel review I love her so much me being Puerto Rican and wanting my own brand I love that we finally got represented its about time other Latin countries get represented as well, they nailed the personality because most Puerto Ricans are sharp clever and especially outspoken. In Puerto Rico we don't celebrate Day of the dead I don't know about other Latin countries but we celebrate carnaval de Ponce or in English Ponce carnival it last a week before Ash Wednesday I'm so excited to see Jewel in more episodes showing her Boricua personality ,Boricua is what we call ourselves.
Jewel definitely grew on me more with time and especially after her cameo on the show lol She, Coco, Delilah and Meena are my musts for this wave

Love her color, outfits, skin tone, eyes, hair, accessories - basically everything about her!. Glad you got one with no makeup issues. The second outfit is way more detailed, agree about the jacket ( also lol at your comments about the back of the skirt!! so true!! 🤣 ) but I think her first outfit looks way better as well if you put the faux fur stole slightly off her shoulders a bit, and tuck the ends behind her arms instead of in front - then you can see more of her dress 😉 She's one of those dolls that looks pretty in her box, but like you said, once you get her out and start taking pics, put her on display etc that's when she really stands out - gorgeous!! ❤
my Delilah's lips were put on wrong ;; like they were diagonal to her actual lips and I just why... series 4 is having so many issues;;

Oh ..today for the first time I bought nothing Barbie at all but bought eight things from Rainbow High! The Barbie stuff is so bland in comparison. I have lots of vintage and other Barbies but I've packed them away for awhile to display the Rainbow

Melissa, I just wanted to say that your channel has quickly become my safe space. I've been going through a rough time, mostly because of the way the management at my work has been treating me. I've been told that my gender and sexuality is not real, as well as the fact that if I even talk about, and I quote, "the gays" I can be coached and, if I continue, fired. This has caused me to fall back into a dark mental state, but my doll collection and yours as well as other doll channels have been helping me stay positive and remember that not everything is bad, even if it feels that way sometimes. I've been watching your channel off and on since Kayden was on and I remember even back when I was in middle and high school that your channel gave me such deep comfort that I wasn't alone in my hobbies and interests. Thank you so much for being a light in many dark times in my life, as well as I'm sure many others.

So sad to see that you have to tie her shoes I got Lila recently and didnt realise I had to tie the shoes, lucky that shes pretty tho and not in a difficult pattern like Lila’s genuinely considered glueing the bows down on hers
I like the sling backs, just get some clear rubber bands to hold them. I get the packs of tiny clear rubber bands at Dollar Tree and use them to secure doll shoes, help them hold things on their hands, fix hairstyles...at like 1000 for $1.25 is not a bad deal.

I love Jewel, she's absolutely beautiful, and emerald green, I love the color, especially since I'm a May baby and the emerald is my birth stone. So Jewel is definitely one of my favorites.
Jewel & Delilah are my 2 favs in series 4. My daughter loves Lila & Meena. 💚💛💜🧡. Awe I hate tags too they’re so itchy and I don’t like my clothes too tight either I like a loose fit so I feel comfortable ❤️🤗 yes series 4 it felt like we had just got junior high & shadow high but mga doesn’t slow down I’m always overwhelmed with the doll releases

Preach it! (about the shirt) You have to be SOOO careful that it isn't Asian or Junior sizes!! There is the CUTEST Barbie one at 5 below, but the XL would barely fit my almost 12 year old!!!! LOVE YOU!
I think the reason Jewel is so popular is that she looks fancy and expensive. Well I mean she's Emerald green after all.
I am never going to remove those shoes. Its already a decided matter. Not happening, her feet are just going to have to stink. Shoes are not coming off. Lol
On a more serious note, I find it interesting how color influences our decision making. My Target is under renovations and the RH were placed on a temporary endcap location. She stuck out with that striking green next to Shadow High. I basically sold at that point.

With the shoe problems, simply just use a small plastic to tight it to the feet 😊

I love Jewel and now have her. I can relate to the ribbon shoes. We had marionettes when my sister, brother and I got them tangled and my mom would have to help untie the strings always and that was that. We just gave up playing with them.

I’m 36 and I have so-called “childish” interests too, like toys and cartoons…my take is that they may be made FOR children, but they were created BY adults, and anything one adult makes, another adult can appreciate! I’m also autistic, so maybe that’s part of why I love them, but after a lot of struggle I don’t feel bad about my interests anymore. I gotta be me, y’know?

I wish Jewel's second shoes were boots/booties in the same material as her second skirt. Jewel hasn't really interacted with Sheryl in the show yet, but Sheryl is my favorite and if Jewel mistreats her I will throw hands (lol jk).

Did you order the Barbie t-shirts in the “women” size range? I have a few t-shirts from Amazon and I find that their “women” shirts run a little small and have an hourglass shape to them. The “men” shirts fit right and are cut like normal t-shirts! So I usually go with those. Can’t do anything about cheap fabric and iron-ons, though. :^[
Lila has the flat feet like Meena :) Only doll i've had problems with is Ainsley, her hip is on backwards lol

My jewel has some bad over spray of green on her body and her lips were bad, but so were all of the other dolls in both target and Walmart overall a great doll

Jewel is gorge I have to send mine back she is missing part of her lipstick. It is the second doll from series 4 with a defect. It seems like they rushed this line and compromised on quality control.

I think we actually got a Puerto Rican-ish doll (correct me if I'm wrong tho). Barbie had made J.Lo doll in 2014 and she is of a Puerto Rican descent so I guess that makes some form of the representation, but of course more representation is always good.
There was a Puerto Rican Barbie in the old “Dolls of the World” series; she was released in…1994-ish? I got her when I was a kid and she’s GORGEOUS. (I still have her somewhere, hehe.)

I like that seemingly the majority (besides Delilah?) of Series 4 is foreign exchange students (according to their small appearances in webisodes). Fashion wise she doesn't speak to me, but I didn't notice the cutouts in the dress til now, and I like them. Otherwise, it gives me old Hollywood but its a sequin cocktail dress and I'm meh about it. Love that she's Puerto Rican and has vitiligo. Prefer the second outfit for sure.
Think she could've done with more use of jewels to make her stand out. I just think she needs some "pops" of interest. Maybe gems on the shoes, maybe a jeweled clip in the top of her half-ponytail, maybe a small jeweled handbag, or a big floppy sun hat and some obnoxious shades. She just doesn't give enough RICH to me in the context of all the other dolls sporting high-end fashion in this line.

At the age of 19 I had a Bartholan Cyst rupture (google it, if you dare lol. It’s not fun)
Anyways had to get a PAP test at that time and it came back with abnormal results.
Been going back every year with same abnormalities showing up.
Now at almost 27 they have told me, still getting abnormal results, come back to test every 6 months now. As well as I have a good 80-90% chance of infertility.
Honestly It’s hard news to take at this age. But I am not in any kind of relationship and with this information I can plan my life a little differently than I previously thought.
So ladies. Get yourself checked early. It could mean being able to have early intervention of IVF and hormone therapy if you want to have kids.
