    Another great review Josh! 👍
2022 19FBS owner here. Love love love this trailer! Yes, storage is lacking but once you figure out a workaround, this trailer rocks.
Yes, there is some space behind that panel to the left of the fridge but it isn't much. Maybe room for a broom and not much else. The Westlake tires are holding up just fine. The batteries in the TPMS sensors died rather quickly so I just installed the valve-stem type, works perfectly.
This thing is a boondocking rockstar. I upgraded the 20lb propane tanks to 30lbs. Added one additional 190-watt solar panel to the roof and two 100-watt portable panels that plug into the Solar on the Side plug up front. I also replaced the typical FLA battery for a 200ah self-heating LiFePo4 battery that is now mounted in the passthru under the bed. We can easily enjoy the extra months of off-season camping with no fear of cool weather.
I do miss the 1800-watt inverter in the new units but I purchased an Anker Solix C1000 to be able to plug in the Keurig coffee maker and other high-watrage devices.
I'm 5'10" and 215 lbs. Not a little Canuck but not huge either. I can take showers easily. The shower curtain gets a little grabby at times but no worse than the little woman.
We removed the folding table. It was ok for the first two years but it was a bit heavy. We use two lightweight TV trays now that store easily behind the couch with the portable solar panels.
Other upgrades/additions include: new thicker residential mattress, extra stinky slinky storage tube mounted behind the spare tire, Moen faucets in the kitchen and bath, Oxygenics shower head, digital thermostat and a Soft Start for the A/C so that we can run that off the Honda EU2200i generator while boondocking.
We get tons of compliments on this little home-on-wheels and it can go anywhere our F-150 Tremor tow vehicle takes us.
Keep up the great work! 😁

Just remember that the Dry/Empty Weight of a trailer is like asking a 45 year old man what he weighs and his response being, "Well, I weighed 160 lbs in high school." The weight of smaller trailers (sub 34' travel trailers) will be at or extremely near the GVWR and the hitch weight should be around 12.5%, if properly loaded. So, this trailer will weigh 4,400 lbs and drop a little more than 550 lbs onto your vehicle/hitch.
With that said, Josh should be getting some compensation from the manufacturers. His reviews are second to none. He probably is the best manufacturer's rep around ... for about a dozen manufacturers. Those brands get to fire half of their marketing staff because Josh does all of the work for them!

The thing that I like about the Geo/Epro trailers is the construction. Before we bought our Epro, we looked at several other trailers and brands. These trailers just seem to be a well accoutremented, premium small trailers. They include options other bigger trailers dont, are detailed well and in our case dont need a lot of maintenance other than screw tightening and lose parts check which any unit towing down the road in earthquake mode need. We have had our trailer for 4 seasons now and it has simply been a nice place to live while on the road. Yeah, not commenting directly abopout the particular unit, but on the whole.....these trailers are a good, well thought out option. I think that most people/couples not looking for a huge towable behemoth would benefit by looking into the Epro/Geo lines.

Thanks for the review! Love these rigs. We have a 2019 Rockstaff E-Pro 19BH which we purchased about 18 months ago. Since then, we have traveled almost 16,000 miles through 25 different states and have had ZERO major problems. This is our 1st rig and when we were doing our research, you were instrumental in helping us to decide on these units.
As an aside, the major reason that we were looking for a smaller unit is because of our tow vehicle. I know I will get some flak for this but we do all of this traveling towing with a 2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid that gets anywhere between 18-23 MPG (towing) depending on terrain and weather. A WDH and brake controller is MUST but with that, this combo handles very well and tracks like a champ. Our only issue towing is , as you can imagine, steeper inclines. We just drop back on the accelerator and take it slow. Certainly NOT an ideal tow vehicle so don't try this at home! 😀😃

I just added that Lagun Table to my 2023 19FBS. The wonderful folks at Forest River sent me the mounting hardware and the table top to install in the 2023 model. Simple to install. I also built a shelving unit to fit in that closet under the TV--that is a weird stock cabinet that works much better as a pantry than to hang clothes. Thank you again Uncle Josh for a wildly entertaining video. This, surprisingly, checks a majority of my must haves. It is small, but that’s the way it’s supposed to be! I like that the couch fold out, that way if my hubby gets restless I can sleep. I’m actually impressed with the stove/oven combo. The lagoon table is very versatile! The microwave is a bit high for me, but that’s what my husband is for! I can work with the tiny bathroom. This unit isn’t really made for long term camping. All in all, I think this one would totally ( meaning our truck can tow it no problem) work for my husband and I.

BOO for the radial shower, YAY for everything else! 😍 I'd probably rip it out and put in a simple vanity, with room for a hanging trashbag under the countertop, and put in a large shower with a sink built into the corner. I had one in a bachelor suite I rented at one point, and the corner sink allowed for me to not have to put my feet in the shower every time I needed the toilet. Ok, LOVE our 19FBS. We have the dealer "floor model" fully loaded with the offroad package. It's got fantastic interior space for the size. My husband is 6'2" and stands in it just fine. The AC does a spectacular job. We use inflatable footrests. Removed the microwave and converted to cabinet space since we are rarely at a campground and hooked up. Forest River sent us doors and hardware for the conversion. We use the closet by the bed as a pantry. Tons of natural light from the windows. We use our oven a LOT. I use the cabinet below the bathroom sink for TP and black tank freshener pod storage. 😊
The fridge is great sized. We use that space beside the fridge to hang dog leashes and keys from Command hooks. Would love if that was open or had a small door for storage, but we're fine so far. My friend sleeps on the sofa bed when she comes with us. She's 5'9". We don't use the outdoor stove (too close to the camper body for my liking) but we do use a tailgater combo with a longer gas hose plugged to that outside hookup, and we use that shelf all the time. The water heater and gas/electric refrigerator are GREAT for boondocking! Again, something we wanted because we don't usually go to campgrounds. I still say the black tank flush being above the electrical is a concern. Watch that the fitting doesn't loosen, or you end up with more than just a drip in that electrical box from the water pressure. Ours was full once, and we had to wait for it to dry before we could plug in.
We tow with a 2016 4Runner. No issues and tows wonderfully. Rides higher because of the offroad tires.

Also, this is the same camper that I was referring to when I commented about it taking a major hit from a fully loaded walnut tree 6 months after we bought it. The walls, roof and roof rack took the majorityforce of impact and held the weight sitting on it for almost a month before the storage facility got someone in there to remove it. The entire roof liner and solar panel had to be replaced, as well as some minor damage to the awning support, which was covered by insurance and the warranty combined. I am a firm believer that it was the Azdell walls that kept it from crumpling and being totaled. I'll never get a camper without them. Wish that RUclips would allow me to post a picture I took of my husband standing under the tree as we inspected the damage after the storm. It was incredible.
If they could move the solar charger panel so it can be seen when the slide out is in, that would be helpful. It's not awful as is, just a very minor thing.

As to the Rockwood Geo Pro 19FBS, it definitely passes the truck stop or rest stop rolling bed, head and mess test without deploying the slide out. BUT….. in rode mode, there’s still that pesky schwintek slide-out in the way. I'm thinking ones with flip-down bunks over the main bed. I see them all over used listings even up to 2012ish models, but almost nobody does them in new models and I'd love to buy something new.

Off-topic maybe, but you mentioned running slides in or out without pausing. I haven't heard you mention this before, and wondered what the logic was behind this. I normally do run the slide around halfway so I can kinda check to make sure the seals and such are opening correctly. If this is wrong, please enlighten me. Thanks Josh!

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 месяцев назад

Certain slide systems like schwinteks are not really designed to be opened partially
If you do it now and then to check seals - you're fine. That's fine.
But when you also want to make sure you're holding the slide button down a bit when it fully opens/closes to allow the system to go thru its self-adjustment phase.
*THE REASON WHY:* There are multiple motors in play at the same time. They aren't always 100% _perfectly_ in sync. So sometimes one side of the slide gets opened/closed a little more quickly than the other. So the sync phase resets that to make sure it doesn't become a compounding problem
