- the maiden launch of the Indian Army version of the Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range off the Odisha coast today. The missile completely destroyed a high speed unmanned aerial target which was mimicking an aircraft with a direct hit. The Army version of MRSAM is a surface to Air Missile developed jointly by DRDO, India and IAI, Israel.
Indian missile system mounted on Indian truck(ashok leyland) platform awesome.

it's best to find a partner to develop a weapon system quickly by distributing work share. There are certain futuristic technologies that no one will help you to develop like scram jet powered hypersonic vehicle or things like quantum communication. Both of these futuristic technologies have been successfully tested by drdo. But in areas where anyone wants to partner you. You should always go for joint development. Seeker as well as dual pulse engine are developed by drdo for this project.
MR SAM is a future development of Indian SAM Akash which has a range of 25 km for IAF and 30 km for Army...MRSAM is jointly developed by Indian DRDO and Israel . It has a range of atleast 75 km to be called as MR (medium range) SAM ( surface to air missile) ...The project was initiated back in 2011 as secret project with HEML , DRDL and R&D engineers both based in Pune playing an important role in it....with HEML Pune providing the main solid fuel, missile airframe and R&D engineers, Pune providing the launcher while Israel providing the Radars and seeker technology for high level interception...

In which 'phase trials' these MR-SAM currently are?
Developmental trails or End User Trials or Post-production trials.
Bcz as per my understanding, IA & IAF has already ordered MR-SAM & are scheduled to be delivered from late 2020's. I thought the delivery has already started considering the need, amid Inda-China standoff.
Can anyone help me out with this doubt?
MRSAM(Barak8) is already inducted in Kolkata class, however no information is from the IAF side.

It's initial speed is only mach 2 but during the endgame it can reach mach 4.5 easily. And i don't think any fighter jet these days can reach even mach 3 and also it has an AESA seeker, not easy to jam

Coz we have brain dead people like u....this MRSAM is based on Barak missile...actually they used upgraded barak missile...which was jointly developed by Israel and India....the radars were supplied by Israel i believed that but Barak is joint venture of Israel and India which were used to make this system....man grow up
This variant has more indigenous components than the naval variant , Dual pulse rocket booster is from drdo and the seeker is from BEL .... and the missile is being manufactured in house by BEL
