- Back in June, we installed the first developer beta of iOS 15 on my iPhone 6s. Having not upgraded since then, today we're going to try to upgrade straight to the final release of the operating system!

Glad the final build just moves the address bar to the bottom rather than having it be floating.
As someone who had the entire beta thing on my daily iPhone, they added it in beta 7 or 8 a few weeks ago. It feels way more “stable” and the original one felt pretty flimsy but it was fine tbh

I used the floating bar from beta 1 to beta 5 and have to say I much preferred it that way… Sad they changed it
The refresh button got added back in beta 4. It also added a refresh button when the bar is collapsed, but Apple removed it in beta 6.(which is a shame because I liked it)
Me too, I preferred the simpler and more clean floating design. They had a good compromise by adding that refresh button. I hope they add the option to do have that floating bar back. But as long as the swipe gestures are there, it’s okay
Can't you just pull the page down to refresh?

Installing it through DFU mode on iTunes or on a Mac always seems to be better.
That way it's a clean install instead of an update all the way through
I I thought updating thru iTunes is a full install vs OTA update I forgot how exactly that goes but it's like pancaked into the current OS
@@preciadoalex123 And if you factory reset trough iTunes then it's been like from the factory rather if you doing it trough settings

My iphone 6s plus is still working fine
I installed it today on my 6s plus, so far no problems everything is pretty smooth however I’m not too sure if I like the new safari

Give it a shot, especially on a big phone, it’s nice to have the address bar at the bottom. Plus, you get swipe gestures between tabs, you can even swipe up like you would on an iPhone without a home button, and get to all your tabs. And if you’re at the last tab, swiping over will open a new tab, which is quicker than going to your tab view and then tapping the +
@@halami2149 the main problem I’m facing is whenever I switch from private to normal tabs, I’m in the middle of my 200 tabs and I have to always scroll to the bottom

My phone threw so many errors at me trying to update it and I don’t know why lmao it’s got enough storage and it’s new enough and was running the newest version of iOS 14 so I don’t know why it put up such a fight for 15 😂 got it on there eventually but it sure felt like everything went wrong
Did you get an error message, too? And if so, how did you fix it? I'm trying to figure it out, but I had issues with itunes on a laptop in the past so I'm only going to go that route as a last resort.

I used a 6S on iOS 15 for about two weeks. It was a really nice novelty. A 7 year old device running the latest build of iOS. Using it every day was an absolute bitch.

All of the new features of iOS 15 only applies on iPhone Xs and above (A12 Bionic and above)
This also applies on iPadOS.
Just thought about this, I've got a Macbook air 11" early 2015, and the upcoming MacOS Monterey is still officially supported on it... Idea for another video? 😏

I installed iOS 15 on my iPhone 6s. Nothing's gone wrong so far! (main release, not beta.) edit: thanks for letting me know that I put iPhone 6 instead of 6s. Thanks to you guys, I fixed it!

I have a first gen iPhone SE, which I forget if that's a 6s or a 7. I am running it with IOS 11 - because if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Is it worth upgrading to the final release of 14? Will it degrade the battery?
Not bad,battery can vary on the health and i tried on a 16GB Model but its personal preference abd opinion

iPhone 1st gen is from 2016, so it may be a refurbished version of iPhone 7 by the 6s price, so same support as 7

If you zoom in then go into 3D mode then zoom out you get the earth view
So confusing, this was already a feature in iOS 14 though.

Did this as well, upgraded from 17.0 beta to like 17.1.2. Worked perfectly fine, used an iPhone SE 2022.. And I didn't even use iTunes,. To be honest, I think I've had a pretty good clean slate with using all running operating systems, I mean I've installed and downgraded from Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, I've installed and downgraded android, I haven't yet worked out how to downgrade iOS, and all the updates that I've done, all, but one of them through one of them was for iTunes the rest was for settings. All them were successful,, so yeah.
Apple did it t again.. same boring look, and you can't customize the UI!

On my iPhone (XR) I got gifted by someone who was already in Apple devices (not a Mac) on August 3rd 2023, I started out with iOS 15, then upgraded from that to iOS 16, then upgraded to iOS 17. And a little bit before the upgrade. I actually switched to iOS as my primary phone. Before I was deciding whether to switch to iOS or not. I installed Gmail to make it half complete.

@@connoisseurdumbass1863 yeah I’m on the 7. I wouldn’t upgrade then unless you have a way of going back easy. For me I think it’s better on iOS 15 but for the 6 it might not be the same case.
Tried to update from OS 13 and 6s reported 15.7.3 as the latest update (March 26, 2023) then downloaded it all and now is in LA LA land for an hour, saying "Preparing for Update"!
