    I am so intrigued by this technique of creating your (and your daughters’) art! My wheels are spinning to see what I can come up with! What kind of plexiglass do you use? Thickness? And how do you cut it to make it the size you want?
    Thanks for sharing!! This is my first time seeing a video of you guys and I’m going to watch every single one of them now!!
    Bravo mama! You are so playfully teaching your daughters about art and being confident in whatever they want to create! They are for sure valuable life lessons in any aspect of their life!

      Thank you so much! You are so sweet! There are a lot of options for plexiglass multi-packs in various sizes on Amazon intended for things like glass replacement in picture frames. Lots of Home Improvement stores sell plexiglass in small pieces as well. We used really thin plastic primarily because thicker plastic would be cost prohibitive for us but I think the thinner plastic also had the advantage of less visual interference. Thank you for your kind comment!

    Can oil paint used on acrylic sheet ???

      @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise  Год назад

      I've used oils on plastic before but it's been a really long time since I did. I remember it was tricky to get it to stick. It's been a while but I think I may have sanded the plastic to give it more tooth.

      This is what we used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JCDTLCH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1 5"x7" by 1mm thick. If you wanted to go bigger than 8"x10" you may need to go thicker for stability.

    • @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise
      @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise  2 года назад +2

      @@The_Freezer_Goblin The link is for standoffs. There are a number of things that can be used the same way. It's basically a long threaded bolt that goes through all the pieces and then spacers that thread or slip on in between each piece with a final decorative nut on the end to hold it together.

    Are these magnets that hold it in place at the end?

    • @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise
      @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise  Год назад

      Yup. The plexiglass is only 3mm thick and 5" x 7" so the magnets were plenty to hold it all together. I think if the plexi was a lot thicker or bigger than 8x10 you might have to use more robust hardware.

    • @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise
      @GuildoftheFlyingTortoise  Год назад +1

      We purchased out plexi on Amazon. They have 8x10 and 12x12 but not 8x12. You can potentially purchase a larger sheet at your local hardware store and cut pieces to your specifications. Many art supply and craft stores have framing departments that can cut the plexiglass for you. You can also source the specific sizes you need from a local plastic supply store or sign shop. Hope this helps!
