This was so fun to watch! You did an incredible job, thanks for collaborating with me! BTW this is totally random, but your music choices in this video are almost all the same songs as my Tabletop Roleplay music lol
I actually like how the edges look rigid bubbly and mishapen, it adds to the prompt. You did amazing and the final piece looks deteriorated and amazing! Like it’s been frozen in a block of ice!
Jazza's vidoe popt up first, so I watshed him first, saved the best for last...😉 I always eat the vegetables first I like not so much 😉 but love you both!
I've never heard of either, but I love art. I just watched both of their videos on this design, and I have to say, I like hers more. Really captures the "3-D-ness". Both are awesome!
Your piece is awesome. A simple tip for a mold is to use a silicone cake mold. Sit the silicone mold in a metal mold to make it rigid. Once you get the hang of things move one to bigger molds.
Ti's the Season of Collabs.... As a Patrick Star, I am offended I am Just discovering Jazza though! I have wanted to make Resin things FOREVER!! You've Given me confidence! aannnnnd HOLY COW!!!! That is amazing!! The Bubble technique, WHAT!! This was Incredible!
I was just coming on to say it was the battle of the collabs week. Loved watching all four videos for such different personalities and points of view. Obv, you won the battle, having the completely unfair advantage of Kiba. 😝
Resin release tip! Packing tape! The mold will release every time and give you a great clear finish. Gave Nerdforge the same advice and she used it for one of her potion bottles. Martina is on a whole other level though. I subbed when she started doing bookbinding videos and it just grew from there
When using UV resin you need a clear mold so the UV can penetrate the entire resin/mold, or, you'll end up with what you got, uncured resin at the bottom!
I think by curing it in thinner layers like this makes it possible to not use a clear mold. She used UV cure. The air pockets in the beginning was due to silicone spray doing it’s job and the resin is not sticking :)
NerdECrafter Jackie always told us viewers about the need to use clear molds for UV resin. Because the top layer cures before the bottom can cure and once that top layer cures, the bottom can't be cured unless it's unmolded. *don't unmold uncured resin, it's harmful to do so* it's not the release under the resin. If you use an opaque mold, you need to use two-part cure epoxy resin.
Use alcohol in a sprayers and use it over the resin, is amazing to get rid of bubbles. You can also use a heat gun and move it quickly over the resin, gets rid of bubbles quickly!!
Jazza’s collabing with everyone now, I just saw him collab with Rae! Amazing work, Chloe! Also, imagine being able to do that… that’s amazing! I should honestly do that, but it’d have to be simpler since I’m not as good at painting… 😅
I was so excited when I saw the thumbnail of Titanic in her resting place. I’ve been fascinated with her nearly all my life. This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Fantastic job! I’m blown away! Sooo cool. BTW, I received my Bear Co. brushes and they are awesome. I know you mostly paint acrylic, so I wasn’t sure how they’d do with watercolor, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well they hold water. And I was able to use the larger brush for detail work…it held its point so well. Awesome job curating the set!
This came out amazing! I just came from Jazza’s zelda moon 🌝 love seeing two of my favorite creators collab and inspire each other. The level of depth with these is insane
I think the bubbles add a lot to the painting. They remind me of little drops of water flying everywhere after a wave crashes and that fits this painting perfectly.
CHLOE! This is so cool! I love how the resin really makes it feel like water. You did an AMAZING job. Also I love how you used a nail UV lamp haha. That’s some creative thinking! This is deff one of my favorite paintings you’ve made! 😍
Okay, I really like how the edge bubbles came out. Everyone always fetishizes the perfect clean edge look with resin pieces, which is admittedly highly satisfying, but it's not the only way to use the material, and the warped bubbly edge here also synergizes well with the intended theme.
To be honest because the resin is not perfect and a little milky in some spots it looks like the painting is in a block of ice wich is really fitting for the motive. I would say it adds to the piece.
I initially wanted to skip to the end and see the end product after seeing jazza's video but I got interested and hung through the video and... Im happy to say that this is actually pretty good
First time viewer, not an artist. I was impressed with the way a few strokes of details could imply so much. Kudos for taking on such a technically complex challenge.
This was such a fun collab! Resin is such a tricky medium and I'm still scared to use it. Perhaps at some point I could try it with layers of glass? Love what you created!
First total confusion, as two videos is more or less had the same title.. Than realizing.. A collab between two of my favorite art content creators, it's so awesome! Luv what you both did here!
Chloe! If you want a bubbly effect, one thing you could try is to put 'drops' of clear uv resin and cure them, and then put a very thin layer of blue tinted resin so that the clear drops show through. I think the dish soap bubble effect might have showed up better if the resin had a very slight white or light blue color to it as well. I hope this is something to revisit because there are so many possibilities!
Love this collab and love the fact you exchanged word prompt's for your pieces. Your underwater titanic turned out beautifully and the depth you gave it was awesome. it felt so alive despite your prompt word.
Been a Jazza subscriber since before his first mural, I'm here because of him, and because he showed everyone what cool content you have, not a lot of youtubers like to help smaller channels without anything to win, he's amazing, and you are too
The whole project looks like its a block of ice. I really like the way you used the bubbles and that definately adds to that effect. Beautifully done! Very fun to watch.
Wow. You should be so proud of this piece. It is absolutely beautiful. I hope you do another resin painting. I would love to watch another. Amazing painting.
you and Jazza are both so talented and I am obsessed as well with the lore of the Titanic and so when you made your project centered around the Titanic it sparked my interest and I subscribed. I really enjoyed watching this turnout and I think it was amazing. Great Job Chloe!!!
I love how each of you approached this project and loved watching our you guys tackled the issues you both had. LOVE both of the finished products you guys did amazing! ♥
it would be awesome to do the boat in layers as it comes forward in depth and give the boat more real world depth. its like a painting that is breaking the 4th wall and quite literally as it comes to life in our reality. awesome job
This is gorgeous Chloe!! If I saw this without context I would've never guessed it's your first time ♡ For the bubble texture, I would suggest maybe applying a bit of white paint (maybe even diluted) to give it more of a 'seafoam' look, perhaps by doing that it would look intentional and not like you messed up on the under layer
My understanding of UV resin, from artists talking about different resins, is that UV resin is used for small projects. Larger projects that need sizes over 1 foot by 1 foot, you use two part or resin that takes a while to dry. The heat as UV resin cures will warp the resin as it dries in larger sheets. There are quick cure resins, non UV, but they still cure for a long time compared to the UV. Curing 2-3 hours per layer before cured enough to paint and move it without warping it horribly. That was the one resin I have heard about for this sort of paining. I would dread trying to hang this sort of thing on my wall.
I’ve actually done this several times before. Some great alternatives to making a frame is using one of those pre-built wooden art panels or getting an inexpensive silicone soap mold. I got both from Amazon. Also, I only use 2-part resin. I paint a layer everyday. Also I embed stickers and other sculpted items into mine.
I love the titanic as well the whole story of it and i think you did an amazing job with this piece. Especially since you didn't have much experience with using resin it makes me feel a bit better about trying something like this myself you made it seem less scary so thanks 😊 i've loved your channel for a while now you're such a delight to watch keep up the awesome work
I was hovering over your website this morning waiting for the new products just for my power to go off XD. Also, there is a Titanic museum in Gatlinburg, TN that looks like the front half of the ship. The front part is interactive and the back is an actual museum. Worth going to see when things calm down and you feel safe to travel again.
When using uv resin you need a transparend mold😨 the light can not full penetrate the resin this way that is why it cured uneven/ is curving😔 on the backing of the artpiece. Jazza used a clear mold which was good… but his layers were so thick that the light couldn’t fully penetrate the resin with paint on it, so he needed more time too cured(he didn’t tho🤪) and he should have maybe put the light underneath his artpiece aswel to cure it better(which he didn’t either) so you both had challanges. I do love this kind of art project and love the art you eventually made❤️❤️ please do another😍 if you go bigger, use quick setting 2 part resin tho🤫
Cloe, if you ever decide to do something like this and want to sketch it out first try doing it on sheets of acetate, it's perfectly clear and you can do it in layers
i love what you did with the bubbles in the end it kinda looks like a painting frozen in ice tbh i love it and i’ve been fascinated with the titanic as well
This was super awesome and it turned out great. So much dimension, it really looks like there's an actual real shipwreck embedded in the resin, and your lighting and shadows are just impeccable. It feels like I'm under the ocean when I look at the piece, like I could reach out and touch the Titanic. Wow girl! ❤❤❤❤❤ Loved Jazza's piece also. They're both phenomenal.
Love that you chose Titanic as it is also something that I've been fascinated by since childhood. I've done a lot of Titanic related artwork and my personal favorite is a pen and ink stipple version of it deteriorating under the sea. Took me an entire summer lol. Your painting is awesome, it turned out so well. 👌🏻
BEAUTIFUL. Wow, you really made something magical from that cue word. I can't think of a better subject to immortalize. The addition of the bubbles was such a brilliantly outside the box idea too. I love to see people experimenting with new mediums. I'm so inspired now! I could never make something that incredible (or large!) but will definitely be playing with 3d resin a smaller scale. Thanks for everything about this video. It was awesome!
I have to be honest, every time you poured out a layer of UV resin I felt a pang in my crafty little heart and in my wallet! I know how expensive a tiny bottle is, did you take out a second mortgage to buy that much? 😂 😂 The best thing to make the mould put of is actually silicone - you can get a two part kit (similar to epoxy resin) that you can use to make your mould and that way you don't have to worry about leaks as the mould is just one piece. 😊 It turned out great though, despite your couple of hiccups. I've been avoiding Jazza's video until I saw yours so now I get to go see what he created!
The bubbles though...??? Freaking. Mind. BLOWN!! Brilliant, Chloe. Love seeing all the ways you push yourself with art and your talents in creation. :)

Im here!
Both videos were awesome to watch. This was a fun collab
i love both of the paintings
I’ve been fascinated by resin ever since I saw Nerd Forge’s video! I love your take on the theme, it turned out incredible 🔥🔥
😳😳seriously! So cool!!!
Martina's resin videos are so good!
Yes Temi I hope you maybe do resin video👉👈🥺
Who else thinks Temi should collaborate with Chloe?
I actually like how the edges look rigid bubbly and mishapen, it adds to the prompt. You did amazing and the final piece looks deteriorated and amazing! Like it’s been frozen in a block of ice!
Yes! The edges were perfect for this piece!
This was SERIOUSLY cool. Such an impressive result and fascinating process. Just… wow!
Don’t tell Jazza I came to watch your video first 😜
thank you Sarah! And don't worry I won't ;D
Gosh, we've got all the good names in this one. :)
I actually took a minute and debated who's video I should watch first. Ended up choosing Chloe's 😂
Jazza's vidoe popt up first, so I watshed him first, saved the best for last...😉 I always eat the vegetables first I like not so much 😉 but love you both!

DREAM COLLAB
Ikr, i hope you and jazza can collab because thats something i think would be cool! Maybe you could host a contest together as well!

I'm sure it would turn out wonderfully. A mini might be hard but you could do it!
Neat. Can’t help wonder about a circular porthole version. One of my earliest memories as toddler is wandering deck of navy ship holding mom’s hand.
That would look really cool!
I think the bubbles add a lot to the painting. They remind me of little drops of water flying everywhere after a wave crashes and that fits this painting perfectly.
