This is the perfect setup for my winter basement golf.
Building mine from random parts that I could find at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Using an Optishot 2. So yeah like a video game lol

Your idea of affordable - $5000. My affordable home simulator - Garmin R10, $470; Spornia SPG-7 net with turf, $360; I already had an iPad but it was $250. Less than $1100.

it says at Carl's they want you to have 12 feet from screen. my room area has a total of 14 ft of length and I would need to be hitting ball from 8.5 to 9 ft from screen. is that a workable plan. I do have the 9ft high and 10.5 to 12 feet wide.
Most launch monitors require at least 8 feet of ball flight to get an accurate reading. Just make sure you have enough ball flight to work with whichever launch monitor you choose for your simulator build.
As of today I have a 1/642 chance to win... (0.15% chance)... so I'm not getting my hopes up, but even so... thank you to @Golficity and @CarlsPlace for this golfer's dream giveaway!

You golf simulator boys need to learn the difference between building and assembling. You are not building or designing anything You are assembling a prefab kit that was cut and designed to go together as it should.
