Last month my mother had done total hysterectomy due to post menopausal bleeding. Before the operation, in ultrasonography, there was found fibroid in the uterus...but after opening the lower abdomen there was no fibroid in the uterus but there was present a metaplasia type tumour in ovary & after total hysterectomy there was done biopsy & immunocytochemistry & found serous adenocarcinoma (grading 2, stage T1NxMx) in ovary. After 21 days of the operation, CA 125 & CA 19 report is normal. Now my question, what should the treatment process now? Now, is chemotherapy required?
