On last point it is easy win for consumers in any Courts. There is direct principal of taxation, not to apply tax on any value which includes other taxes. I hope car manufacturers also take initiative & file suit in Supreme Court.
Regarding the exchange aspect, same thing happened with me. Dealership was not responding even after 3 months of exchange. I called company's helpline no, got in touch with company officials. In my case company officials helped. I went to dealership with Supreme Court judgments and told i'll give them legal notice, if they didn't give me details of transfer or transfer car in their own name. Dealership then send me proper mail explaining transfer and NOC from present State Authority. Now, car is in another State with new number.
The last point (Double Taxation point) is really anti-constitutional ,it should be removed as you said. Thanks for all the valuable informative points. 🙏🙏🙏

I was lucky that i didn't disbursed loan otherwise it would have been a big problem. Ultimately i have to cancel my booking. This issue happened in Navi Mumbai

Declined the delivery of the model and straight away mentioned won't take a car more than 3 months old. Got a September model🎉. Did the PDI and got the delivery of the car on sunday. Correct information. I was planning a Skoda Kushaq with Bharat registration, connected with Dealers in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Wanted to exchangenmy 2018 Punjab registered ford freestyle, the Bangalore dealership quoted around 1.5 lakh for it, Mumbai dealership didn't agree for other state vehicle exchange and asked for bribe to help me with Bharat registration. Delhi dealership gave me 3 lakh rupees as value of my car. But the problem is that all these dealership are giving lower quote, a 2018 ford sells around 5 to 5.5 lakh, then why they give lower quote and if I have all the mandatory documents why bribe is being asked for to get a Bharat registration number.
This guy is nightmare for dealers and a angel for customers Too sad some idiots buy car for showing off from their dads money and have indirectly helped in setting up this negative trend of dealers

U r right the road tax should be based on vehicle weight and type of vehicle, what does it has to do with exshowroom price, they should charge on basic price, further CSD is looting defence personnel on GST compensation cess, when asked, they have put blame on GST DEPARTMENT, but GST department denied having given such direction and asked to contact CSD

Handling charges are rampant in the two wheeler segment. I recently purchased an entry level BMW bike and the dealer made me pay 10K as handling charges, when I complained about this to BMW India, they said it was at dealer discretion and we do not have a say in it. it's all a big mafia.

The last point makes sense and people must raise their voice, wasnt aware about this, Road Tax must be only on BASE Price and not on EX Showroom Price. But can you make a video on which are the states in India from where car purchase turns out to be cheapest and also if someone is not from that state, in what way he can purchase the car from those mentioned states.
You have to give address proof to buy from that state. If you change your state, then you have to re register your vehicle in that state by giving road tax again to new state and then claiming back from earlier state which is more cumbersome and difficult process.
I want to add a point, I am eligible to buy a BH number plate, in that sense, is there a way I can purchase from XYZ state which charges the least and as well as apply for a BH number plate from there, related to documents, I am eligible for that. Need an informative video on this.
Hi got a query if the car is booked in someone else name and the rc will be on someone else name then the owner on the rc is mentioned as first owner or the second owner Like if Mr A booked the car now he doesn't want it and he like to give it to Mr B is it necessary that Mr B will be th3 second owner of that car ?
