A Day Trip to Whiffle Tree Candle Co.

- Today we are going to go down to Massachusetts and visit The Whiffle Tree Candle Co. and I'm also going to take you to Wegman's.....the BEST Grocery Store (in my opinion). Then we come home and I will show you how I am preparing for House Guests.
You remind me so much of Martha Stewart! When my mother was still alive I would call her on Tuesdays and we would watch Martha, each at our own homes, and we laughed and I can hear her comments. Thank you

I couldn't leave the candle shop without smelling every candle in the place first. I'd have to take home a variety of tealights and votives, plus tapers in every color! The grounds are my absolute idea of perfection. It would an answered prayer to live somewhere in the beautiful woods in an old, quaint town. ❤❤❤

Such a coincidence I’m from Billerica originally. So nice visiting it again with you. Now in Florida for almost 50 years and when going through old pics ran across a pic of my family and I there. Thanks for the memories.💕

I really enjoyed your trip to the candle shop! That little white covered dish with the rabbit, would have come home with me! I looked to see where it was, as I live in CT, and was hoping it might be off 91, as my husband and I take it up to Vermont 2-3 times a year, but is no where near and about 2 1/2 hours from my home. What lucky guests you have! 💗

Enjoy! Gate keeping all of the good spots is no fun! If you’re there in the summer, Oldies Antique Barn is also great! A little on the pricier side but there are still deals to be found. I haven’t been yet but I’ve heard Todd Farm Flea Market in Rowley, MA (opening in April) is good too!
Ha ha...I'm from PA and we've had Wegmans for years. It truly is fun to go to a Wegmans! Loved the Whiffle Tree Candle Co...I have to check it out!

What an idyllic setting for that candle shop. Just driving in, I wanted to go sit in the gazebo with the little fountain pond and have lunch! I am a candleholic for sure. It's what I usually treat myself to when I am visiting or on an excursion. The shop had something for everyone. I could spend a lot of time , not to mention money in there. But the grounds, with the views, and the moss covered rocks, the little covered red bridge was out of a picture! I can almost imagine people 100 years ago here. Gosh, I sure wish we had Wegmans here. The displays of fruits and vegetables , flowers, and my weakness... artisan breads ... and seafood had me hook , line and sinker! It would be my favorite grocery store for sure!!! Your lucky guests will be delighted at all your thoughtful touches!

When my daughter and I use to shop down in Pennsylvania in November for Xmas and we had lunch in wegmans their squash soup was delicious

Carla, you're not going to believe this but I just drove by the Whiffle Tree on Friday, as my brother and I were heading back to NH. (Traffic was terrible on Rt 95 so we took the back roads. I grew up about 15 minutes from the Whiffle Tree and my brother and I were reminiscing about it as we passed by. We wondered what had become of it and saw a sign but couldn't read it. I have such fond memories of that place !! It was much more colonial themed back then. By the way, I'm 64 so that gives you an idea of time. I loved looking at all the beautiful gifts. The grounds look just the same. You could skate on their little pond back in the day. I feel like you and I have these little connections. I'm the one who told you how I used to vacation at Plum Island. You brought a smile to my face and I'm planning on going there very soon ! Thanks !
Oh my goodness, what a coincidence!!! I talked with the new Owner, she's owned it for a little over a year and has changed it to different "Booths per se" that are rented out to different Consignors. The candles are still made by the previous Owner. It was more Primitive the last time I was there also which was roughly 8 yrs ago. Such beautiful grounds.
I live out west now. Originally from upstate NY & I gota tell you, I miss my Wegmans😢❤

I love when you take trips to ma. My Son & grandson live Ma. We visit there when we can the last summer we were there we visited yankee candles I love the shop you visted I’ll have to ask my son how far it is from where he lives So I can visit next time

I lived in Billerica and used to get my water at the Whiffle Tree.
I did take some containers with me so I could try the water. Such a cute filling station.
Are you from Michigan by any chance? The Verner’s is a clue plus your accent sounds familiar to me! I grew up in Rhode Island and now live in Michigan by way of San Diego and Memphis so my accent is all over the place! Loved the candle store and will make a trip there next time I visit “home” 😊
Yes, I am originally from MI, we moved to NH 5 yrs ago and absolutely love New England. I grew up drinking Vernors and can only find it at Wegman's. I especially crave it when I have a cold or flu. Thank you for watching and enjoy Michigan.

It would depend on what Store you're comparing to. Some things are higher but they have SO many choices and brands. it's hard to compare. I would not compare them to Whole Foods prices.....better.
The quality is wonderful. Most products are worth the price. The bakery is to die for.
