All of these restaurants should have been shut on the spot. These British inspectors treat the owners like little children. If you have to explain basic hygine to someone, they shoudn't be running a restaurant.

Unfortunately I couldn’t put any faith in the inspectors they don’t seem tough enough, I wouldn’t be afraid of them shutting a restaurant down.
I’ve seen street food vendors in India
i wonder if the food thermometer, food inspecters use is sterilized before each visit to a take away or restaurant or just wi[ped with some used old rag/cloth then on to the next.
I had a warning about maggots at my restaurant which I've now 100% resolved. And what's more, all my customers get a free bowl of special chewy rice!

"Pukka" means good. It's orginally from Hindi and Sanskrit, but it's in common use in the UK. Ironically, Pukka Pies are not exactly my idea of pukka.
I have worked in kitchens, deep cleaning would be crucial! Everything has to be clean, all surfaces, from ceilings, walls, floors and then onto ovens, grills, stock room, fridges, cold store. So much more! Arrangement of food stuffs is really important! Close them down! Ughhhhh! ☹️😡

Poppadoms take seconds to cook so why store them? I cook them a lot as I cook original Indian foods myself.

Probably referring to halal and kosher cooking, I'd imagine. As well as certain cultural foods that they'd otherwise be unfamiliar with the proper preparation of.
