2006 Toyota Sienna Replacing the starter
Just another quick video showing one possible fix if your car won't start when the battery is fully charged, but won't crank or turn over at all. The cables were all cleaned and making good contact.
If I did this again, I would take out the battery before the air cleaner (not how I did it in this video, but hopefully you get the idea). You will need a socket wrench with extension, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm sockets, and a Phillips head screwdriver. Sorry the audio isn't great, it was very windy that day.
It would have been a little easier to take the battery out before removing the air cleaner.
    Thanks for watching!

I’m currently camping in Humboldt and used this video to fix my Sienna in 1 hour! There are NO mechanics available right now. Went to Napa, used your video, DONE! 😄

Thank you so much for the clear, step-by-step video, Dan. The starter on my 2004 Sienna died and this was the only video on RUclips I could find that was helpful (for the curious, Dan's steps for the 2006 Sienna work perfectly with my 2004 Sienna). Everything went smoothly, especially since Dan also shows how to put everything back together. My minivan started up again the first time I turned the key, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for saving me hundreds of dollars for labor! :)

I watched 4 videos on this process, and this one was the best by far. Didn't skip steps, told me the size of each bolt, and even admitted a small mistake in the order of the battery removal! Thanks! I am going to do this job this afternoon.

This video was so helpful, and I really appreciated that you showed how to put everything back in because other videos just show how to take it out, so I’d have to reverse everything, which would be more difficult.

Dan -- you are the man! Just fixed my 2004 Toyota Sienna in less than an hour. You saved me $41,164. Not buying a new vehicle (yet) since I got this one running again. The Sienna has 195K miles and has been a great vehicle. Now we get to enjoy it a bit more...thanks for the video!

Thanks Dan, I just watched your video and changed my starter in my 2006 Sienna in under an hour and a half. Although I had previously watched one in a previous starter 'repair', I found this one to be very informative. I especially like that you mentioned the sockets needed. That saved me running back and forth to the toolbox. Thanks again.

This was extremely helpful! It wasn't as bad of a job as I thought and I did it around 3am. Only took longer than usual for me because I was being extremely careful not to damage anything.

Dan - THANK YOU!! Your quick video inspired me to fix my own 2005 Sienna starter, which died in a Home Depot parking lot today. I bought a referb'd starter from Napa auto parts with their bucket deal: get a $3 bucket and > 3 items, for 20% off all you can fit. So the starter was $101 after core.
