What tips do you have for Kingdom Come: Deliverance?
if you attack during a clinch youll always win it so if clinch then stab then run in for a clinch repeat youll always win
GameSpot use the console commands (bring it up with ` or ^) :
wh_pl_showfirecursor 1 to enable bow crosshair
cl_fov x (x is whatever value you want) to change the field of view
GameSpot you forgot to mention the clinch, it's very important
james stark ; Why do you even want to fucking open the console while playing KCD ?
Eldariur to enable the crosshair and make the bow more bearable. You can do it anytime. Doesn't have to be in combat only.
This is the first game where I actually felt need to go and practice with a trainer NPC and to actually make use of the firing ranges. I love the immersion in this one.
My saying is that if you manage to defeat Captain Bernard in combat with real weapons it means you've learned something.
Skeptical Eye lol don’t think I’ve ever lost to Bernard
@@JBW_UK I'm quite the opposite, I surrendered to him every times until I finally got my skills up
The tourney is also a good way to practice while earning some groshen
@@NinjaAnimations its because there is no combat in skyrim
When fighting multiple enemies, keep their archer in line behind the guy you're fighting.
They regularly shoot their own guys in the back.
Ain't nobody got time fo dat! *puts on full plate armor and charges the archer*
Exactly what was stated in the vid. Duh!
@@sunnyjim1355 not exactly, the video said he would just hesitate, not that he would friendly fire sometimes
200th like, don't forget me.
When fighting multiple enemies try to get away from them as soon as possible.
This game was a breath of fresh air. I got this game kind of scared that it might suck, but, it surprised me right off the bat. I've been dragged into this game and now I am Henry. I can't remember a time when I actually cared about how I spoke to people and worried about my appearance in dialogue driven games, because half the time, the outcome would be the same no matter what. I haven't had a game pull me in like this since I was a kid on the n64. Truly a gem of a game.
And ur reputation truly matters in this game. If people dont like u, ur playthrough is actually way harder
I got the game late but i litteraly have 500 hours on it which is insane to me but it is all fault of the added game mode from the ashes truly amazing!!
Too bad Polearms werent implemented
@@nickmills8906 I was wondering about that
I'm about to get this and your comment makes me think I'm gonna enjoy it.💪
Don't try to fight like you're in Skyrim 🤣
It's more comparable to a mix of first-person For Honor and Dark Souls so I agree with you there.
I actually went from Skyrim to this game, lol! The skills don't transfer...
@@throrus 😂😂 they only transfer if it's another elder scroll game, cant wait for elders scrolls 6
@@Mr.Johnny831 they're finally gonna make six??
@@throrus they've been working on it for a while now supposedly but havent showed us anything except a very short teaser trailer.
'You're more used to making weapons than you are wielding them' - Maintenance: 0
This just proves how bad you are at both.
@@felipesv8866 Ouch, Nice one.
Well, guess you're also more used to making weapons than to maintaining them ... not that this would make any sense for a weapon smith.
a) 1 hour with Sir.Bernard with your preferable weapon (before you do patrol in Rattay)
b) Engage in every fight you can once attacked on the road (for loot).
c) Clear the bandits camps (for loot)
d) Buy best possible armour and weapon from traders as early as possible (believe me, you will get your money back soon), or you can cheese it and get all that early from a crate.
e) Get a good horse who can carry a lot
f) Enjoy the "easy mode"
how can you do more training with bernard he just stoped the training and left. than my patro lstarted.
Son of my Father all you need to do is go back to baliff, but do not go and meet Nightingale (the guard). Once the day is over and you sleep, all activities will open for you - archery contests and unlimited training. You basically can start playing the rest of the game without doing main questline. Some of the main cut scenes will be affected by your character's progression (in a good way).
Does it matter if use practice weapons or real weapons when training with Bernard? Does anyone know which levels you up more quickly?
@Souper Effective Cool thanks for the answer!
also your armour gets damaged so make sure you have enough repair kits or money
Parries have different animations and effects based on the direction of the parried blow. For example, if you parry a stab, you stab them right back. If you parry a lower left slash, your counter is just a kick. If you parry an overhead swing, you respond with one as well.
Pretty useful to know when you know an opponent counters well (tourneys or more skilled enemies). If I have to start an exchange, I always start with a lower left slash so in case of a parry, I only suffer a kick instead of a stab or a slash to the face.
Good thing to know
I bought this game when it originally came out, spent about 7-8hrs playing it and gave up after getting insanely frustrated with the combat, I just couldn't get to grips with it. I recently decided to give it a try again, this time I slowed down, took my time, watched some tips and tricks like this video and, most importantly, practiced over and over and over with Bernard. Until finally, several levels later, it just started to click, using the perfect block and master strike, not simply holding down block and not spamming attack makes all the difference. Combat in this game is like realtime first person chess, it takes concentration, timing, forward thinking and planning, when you finally realise this, the combat becomes engaging and intense rather than feeling clunky, cumbersome and frustrating. I don't think I've played a game before where it took several hours just to get to grips with the basics of combat. Now, I'm hooked.
first 3 hours of the game i didnt do anything but read the codex lol
I'm a new player and honestly npcs like sir Bernard are a life saver depending on what they teach. I did every move he could teach like perfect parry and the other where you attack after a very quick parry.
I took on 4 cumans and got them defeated. Two ran away but the other two I looted them and used their armor to disguise myself as one of them for a certain mission where you need to scout a camp. It worked really well
Had no idea about the Longsword not able to do combos with a shield. Thanks!
Ye only for shortswords
Be hard to half sword combo with a shield
Longsword pretty much too heavy to be lift one hand.
Not too heavy, longsword is suitable to be used with one hand too, in some kind of simple way, but definitely you have more control using it two handed.
I too had no idea, I only have been using a longsword! Time to find me a warhammer :)
I'm excited to see how much better their next installment will be.
KCD 2 will be glorious
@@vxn490 I hope they move to a better game engine, this one is beutiful but too glitchy with slow texture pop in and high CPU usage bottlenecks my GPU.
@@MrJohnboyofsj won't have this problem on ps5 given its got the fastest SSD available
@@MrJohnboyofsj also I hope they add some sort of factions you can join, with different storylines. But not like in Skyrim where you can join every faction at the same time, more like in Gothic 1 and 2. That would be awesome and make the game much more replayable.
And I hope we'll have a character creation, I don't think we'll be playing as Henry again because he's a master warrior by the end and they'll be no point to start again with him.
The combat reminds me of boxing. Such an underated game. Easily a 9/10.
spurs4lyf2006 circling and cutting angles eh? Medieval combat is a lot like boxing in a lot of ways
All fighting usually has similar concepts, simply because most martial arts styles that survive long enough to be studied has to figure out the most effective ways to fight.
exactly
I would imagine there was a lot of experimentation in European fencing and the poorly thought out methods literally died off.
think about it like this, if it worked, the person who used it lived long enough to keep it going... if it didn't... welll..... They are lying dead on the field.
5 years late moment, the one trick i learned is not to focus on your enemy themselves, but to focus on their weapon. it may seem really obvious, i may have just taken really long to figure this out, but its really effective. makes it way easier to parry
It took me way too long to figure out that master strikes and dodges must be engaged at the start of the enemy attack animation, NOT when the little green shield icon appears.
Also, clinching is hugely underrated. Get the clinch master perk and use it on skilled foes who are deflecting your attacks. Winning a clinch provides a few precious seconds to attack while the enemy are stunned.
Ah, *_THAT_* explains why they almost never work for me. This is stupid. Then why have the green shield at all? I find it silly enough to fixate on the little crosshair in the middle of the screen for giving me unimmersive combat info when I want to be looking at what my _opponent_ does. Thanks for the tip - I need to change my fighting style entirely, it seems.
@@Noone-of-your-Business that shield thing is prompt for perfect block right?
@@altirste21 Yes, but if you wait for that, you have only a few milliseconds left to react, which makes it almost worthless. I did try what saturn580 described and wouldn't you know: perfect blocks suddenly *_work._* Watch your _opponent,_ not your crosshairs. That's also MUCH more immersive and hence, fun to play.
I used to be afraid of bandits on the road hacking me to pieces because the friggin' combat just didn't work. At swordplay maxed out at 20, no less! After spending *_days_* in the practice arena with Captain B. Sorry to say, but the game's _tutorial_ system leaves a lot to be desired.
@@altirste21 There are two stages of the green shield. First just the shield, second with a glow around it. If you block in the first phase it'll be a master strike.
My hands shake when I am in combat, I can't handle the immersion its too damn authentic. I freaking love it.
You have a great point, man. Me too!
It's like being under heavy fire in arma 3.
I was freacking out playing borderlands because someone said ''Hey!'' and I thought bandits were coming to get me XD
haha i get it the immersion is high and i cant zerg it like i did in many other games 😂😂 i have to really learn lol
see a doctor
I had no idea you had to use the longsword without a shield to do combos, I kept wondering why I could never land a combo to save my life.
gyloir I never use a shield... mainly because i never picked one up, cos im a noob. And its alot at once but I do Love it
gyloir warhammer is better lol
I kinda' like Axe play over anything else, 'cause it has also slash and blunt damage, tho' it sacrifices almost all thrusting damage
Yup, this video was worth watching just for that tip alone..I beat the entire game without figuring that one out.
Wow, using only one hand to swing an almost 2kg sword with a length of 100cm+? You a Dragonborn or something?
Honestly I love the combat system in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Admittedly it takes a while to get the hang of, but if you spend enough time on it you can best nearly anyone in the game. It feels extremely rewarding and immersive and you actually have to train hard to get better.
Many people don't like the archery because it is hard and there is no aiming reticle (without mods of course), but I personally think it is both realistic and enjoyable. You always feel a great sense of pride when you land a hit on someone and hear the sound of the arrow passing through their soft flesh 😈
christ if i had 4 armored guys on me like that id have no chance. console has no sensitivity option so switching between targets is a nightmare.
Ainz Ooal Gown are you sure your switching the right way, you hold down the right stick and then move it towards whoever you want to target.
Hasn’t really been a problem for me but then again I’m sure your controller is different then mine
Kazeus wait like u push in the stick
Adam Bousfield yes
@@thegreatkadeni5028 HOLY CRAP THANK YOU
I had no idea, I just sorta forced Henry to face the other guy while he tried desperately to look at his current target. Must have looked insane to the bandits.
Aaron Hackett lmao that can screw you over in lots of fights
To be honest once I got the stats to wield a mace I found the combat MUCH easier, being able to simply batter your way through shields or plate armour, with little need for fast reflexes to keep up a blizzard of strikes and counter the enemy's own attempts to break your defence.
This sounds like good advice, the combat is fuxking impossible
Remember to poison your weapons! Dollmaker works like a paralysis poison which is fun. Haven't tried Lullaby but it should work in a similar fashion. Bane is of course the top poison and if you combo with the rusty blade perk, you don't need the finest blade in the land to crumple your foes (useful if you play as a rogue in clothes and a brigandine chest piece, which reminds me, learn to dodge if you wear no armor)
The first person combat system looks like Mount and Blade.
But of course, this one is more complex
Way more complex, m&b has only 4 attacks and 4 blocks while this game has all sorts of moves and combos and all that, mordhau kinda resembles this game but is alot faster paced
@@JumalaPlays I was really hoping the combat would be more like Mordhau's, but I guess not
Here is a hint, I have found that when you have more than one attacker, if you see one out of the corner of your eye going for a strike you can still perfect block him bit blocking in the direction he is standing from your current opponent.
St. George's Sword > Everything else
Seldanas There is one better sword the Herod’s sword
@@senki0151 Herod's sword is slighlty better in slahing but much weaker in stab. Too pity that crafted sword of queen Sheba is weaker.
Senki 01 basically yeah heroeds sword is good but it got shutting stab
Agreeeeed
I like Magdeburgs sword much better, its lighter yet more durable and has better defence and in the end fits the all magdeburg set which I think is the best look in game.
My tips, if you want to become strong or unstoppable in this game all you need is potions.
There are two important potions :
1) Aqua vitalis for strength like achilles.
2) Buck's blood potion for stamina to absorb many hits and you will attack much more..if your stamina is low you will get lots of damage from hits
(Sorry for bad english, not my first language)
Few things are more satisfying than planting an arrow in a fleeing bandit's back at 30+ meters.
That, and 10+ back and forth perfect block competition.
There is a window right after the end of a combo or stike where you can land an overhead hit to the head. If you have the headcracker perk you can end a fight before it begins with a well placed strike. Wait for the attack while moving back and rush forward just as the combo ends
I absolutely love the combat mechanics in this game, some of the best ever in gaming history.
BUT GOD DAMN ITS FUCKING DIFFICULT :D
Just like in real life martial arts. As every coach would always tell you, PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
Put a small piece of tape tape in the middle of your screen and draw a cross hair on it. Makes archery so easy.
Hint and Tip : When you are for first time in Rattay go find KUNESH from Skalitz and ask him about the debt
- He will give you a tip about a treasure hidden in Skalitz
- Go back to Skalitz via the fast travel
- Then go to the entrance of the village but STAY on the DOOR
- You will notice Talberg Guards fighting with Armed Knights / Bandits
- DO NOT enter the village until the fight is over. Watch from distance the outcome
- If the Bandits win, just travel fast to another village wait a bit and travel back to Skalitz
- If the Guards Win, put away your weapons and go LOOT all the Bandit Knights
- You will get Enormous valuable Gear which you can store in your parents House , within the Chest
- Those things stay forever there. Store them there
- When you have a Horse, go back to the house and make 3-4 trips to Rattay . You could get 10K Croshen Easily and become SUPER geared with the best armor
Cheers
wow thanks
Nice thank you! When I found kunesh he kicked my head in and killed me so I've left him since loading again

Great tips. You are the first guy who mentioned in his tutorial the advantage of blunt damage dealing weapons. Everyone else is just running around with swords. Can't wait to run around with a warhammer. It's hammer time ;)
I’ve come to the realization that kcd combat is a conversation. A conversation done with the body, weapons and occasional curses. You shape the fighting style that suits your personality, you find what works for you. Everyone “talks” differently but it is still a language of blades & maces. Politics by other means. Warhorse did a spectacular job with the combat system, it is non-rote, fluid and adaptive. I love it.
Busted tip for fighting easily, learn alchemy, brew the -110 health poison and apply it to your sword and arrows, arrows will overkill enemies... found that out like 98% thru the game...
I’ve never used a horse besides Pebbles. Why would you ever use another horse. Pebbles is by far the horse with the most personality.
In my opinion, the best tactic is to clinch, push away and stab. Repeat and win.Easy 😉
Was about to give up on this as the combat was driving me crazy than I saw this video and it saved me. Thanks so much for this ! Great help.
For some reason combat felt pretty fluent right away, like don’t get me wrong Henry still felt shit at it and had to get better which was cool but for example I wrecked kunish in the beginning and those bandit camp missions you get after a few hrs in too
I went muhammad ali on kunish because I cant land a fucking blow so I went for the jabs
same i felt jabs do there work and are faster so why the fk not to just fight like that
Jab is very good at opening, punch and kick are for few hit following that.
On my second play though I went for a scoundrel run and took up unarmed and stealth knock outs and kills as opposed to sword and shield like my first time through and I have to say once you unlock Bernard and have the clinch perk, leveling unarmed becomes laughably easy, so much so that in some of the most basic armor I have ever used I beat the wayfairing knight within just under 20 or so seconds.
Kyle Ohlson same i was never a biplomat i prefer a blade to the mouth
I'm loving my axe. It has both blunt, piercing, and cutting capability. A jack of all trades.
exactly. Im on first palythough so I go knight with longsword as everybody but hell Im already going to go second playthrew with axe and light armor viking style.
Skål.
What I like about this game is that player skill matters a lot.
I had no chance at the beginning, but after playing for 3 days Ioaded back to the "Run!" mission and even though I didn't have Ripostes or anything yet, I managed to kill the first game chasing you. It's a really good combat system, despite what noob reviewers say.
I started with a shortsword but fell in love with longsword combat once I found my first. Once you learn all combos and open with feints often you can take multiple foes without much need for defensiveness. Master your ripostes and the game changes entirely
When in combat you can sometimes get a free hit if you sprint backwards and make the enemy run after you and then stab when they get too close.
It's 2019 and I just got the game I always wanted to grab it but wasn't sure if I'd like it even with all the content being shared however now that I've started it ,I love this game and the tips you've shared here have really improved my combat experience , also the long sword tip is one I never would've guessed thanks for this video
2020.. got the game free.. and now going through all youtube video for this game.
@@rajdeepdas1842 same over here and I was really happy with the game in the beginning but larger scale battles in this game are a pain in the ass and the fighting system is just not made for it/has to many errors for it.
Easily one of the best combat system I ever seen in RPG games. Simply brilliant, and less of a leveling up matters, but practice.
Very useful video dude, i want try every point in this list !
It’s like I’m fighting the game more than I’m fighting my opponents.
I find it hard to finish combos as the enemies cut them by perfect blocking of counterstriking
Then you perfect block into a combo. There's been a few occasions where me and an npc did 4-5 perfect blocks each and it's marvelous to see it go in slowmo. Can't wait until I get the master strike
@@rocklebrun7538 for me they master Strike every Attack..

The best knightly weapon against armoured opponents is definitely the poleaxe (with variations, like the lucerne hammer or the "bec de corbin"). Against unarmoured opponents I recommend the longsword. In any case, these advices hold if you are heavily armoured with plate, half-late or milanese brigandine (or similar). Otherwise, grab a shield and arming sword (against unarmoured) and mace or warhammer (against armoured). Remember, the first rule for Historical European (Medieval) Martial Arts is stay alive while winning the fight. ;-)
#6 dont be afraid to release an arrow point blank early, as long as its before the enemy is half way through a strike, it has a high chance to stagger and stop the attack, allowing you to draw, and shoot again
#7 put the enemy between you and enemy archers, but makes sure to peek ;) in doing so the archer will have "an opening" and take it, unbeknownst to the melee guy in front of you who will promptly be shot in the back
Thank you for sharing these tips although I learned all these the hard way! Thumbs up!
Is it just me, or is this game's combat one of the best...?!? I love it!!!
That game is the biggest surprise in recent years mmmmmm
Besides the lockpicking mechanism , Im just aboout 5 hours in the game and Ive rarely been this immersed in a game . Great stuff my dudes
Actually a very useful video, thanks mate!
Bludgeon is king. I started noticing my sword being highly innefective by the time I cleared a second camp during 'Ruin' because bandit leaders now all have plate armor. Put on a mace and there we go. I'm pretty sure I hit my ceilling in getting skilled at this combat system, I quite like it, except for the weird gravity pull whenever you switch targets. Might hit a mod for that. Overall, having a lot of fun with this, although some bugs need to get patched. I've got stuck in bushes more times than I can count and had to reload.
Yea the fucking bushes are the final boss of the game, but it's a bit realistic. You can't just pass through bushes in real life either, just try it

Close Quarters combat master at your service peasants. Combos are mostly useless, because enemies always parry, so the only thing that is worth learning is perfect parry with a following counterattack, dodging kind of works sometimes, but the key word is "sometimes" because even with a "light armor" perk it is kind of broken, often fails you and you get your face smashed in a row of attacks. Clinch with a clinch perk is great too - almost 95% guarantee of a free blow to lay on your enemy. And of course a bow, you don't need to be a sniper to use it effectively, let enemy come close and shoot the face. Almost always oneshot for all nonhelmet or open-face-helmet enemies.
You can hold down block while attempting to dodge, so you don't risk getting whaled on. Perfect block gives me a free riposte even without pressing the attack button if I time it right. Do you get a different attack if you press the attack button at the same time?
Metal Gamer Yeah sometimes you get differуnt specially animated attacks which are mostly unblockable, but timing riposte works too I agree
Ripost is the only thing I use to steam through enemies. Too easy after you learn the timing.
Benji, what is the timing like? Do you click attack once almost at the same time as you block, do you do spam click attack?
The combat gets boring after 20-30 hours in when I realized this and it made me not fight tactically anymore. I'm just playing the waiting game and whenever I choose to strike first, it doesn't matter because it's random and they usually parry the second hit.
Short shorts/hunting swords/sabers can NOT use all their combos with a shield. The combo description specifies when they can used with a shield. Combos like the double stab for example can only be used without a shield
This game will always be one I feel privileged to experience simply because of the setting itself. My mother's side is Czech and my great grandfather actually came to America from Bohemia Czechoslovakia. He and a few other guys that came from there also, all co-founded a spot on Long Island, NY and named it Bohemia as well. There to this day and is till a mostly Czech populated town. But yeah, you don't really see many historically based games like this, if any, that are about Czechoslovakia. So thanks to the devs for that big time!
With one on one fights I like to get into clinches before actually starting to fight. Especially with the right perks it's a way to damage the opponents weapon a lot and thus make them deal less damage
before life stopped me from gaming for a bit, I went through a good part of the game just using the bow. grab a horse and hit and run. I'm not a damn knight lol.
and it took a bit to get good with the bow. if you keep using it, you can draw faster, aim longer, and also get a good sense of where to aim with using your hand as a cross-hair. shooting rabbits, deer, any wild animals helps build up bow skills.
Well, you're a mighty mongol warrior and not a knight then!
Not at all! I went with longsword through the entire game and I was badass. Learning the game mechanics well will make you a God no matter which weapon you go for.
So many times I read the people are using the long sword. Is this weapon really so good in comparison to other (one handed) weapons?
@@XIxR3DEEM3RxIX I guess not against full armour and I've really only used the long sword and bow in the game. Blunt would be better against plate armour.
To get the best Longsword in the game for free.
Follow the road east from Neuhoff, keep going it is almost at the end of the map.
you will find a camp by the left side of the road, find the check, pick the lock.
Sword of Saint George inside along with very valuable plate cuirass and helmet.
the camp did not have any occupants when I got there.
Well done this was helpful and very well executed
I my sword skill is 20 and warfare 17 but enemies still block me into fucking slow mo and fuck me up. Nice fucking game.
4:00 - What do you mean: "if you block *_and_* attack at the very start of the animation"? Does that mean you have to hold the block button _AND_ the attack button at the same time? Or does it happen automatically? This "perfect block" keeps confusing me, because it works so rarely, even at maxed out weapon skill. What else plays a role here?
I find when you press both, we do Riposte, which is basically a Counter mechanic. If only perfect block, it only need to press block button
masterstrike
Dude this guy is so good, I’m just starting, this looks amazing
Once you get at lvl 4 or 5 go to Skalitz. There are a lot of skirmishes there. Top tier armor and weapons. Also you can make a lot of money.
I *and i cannot stress this enough* love trees in the game. They are your friends, any one looking for a way to win a fight which is 5v1 use trees as a shield
I tried to buy this...sold out in my area...FML.
armgidion buy it digitally
Had to buy a digital copy myself
Ha games actually sell out these days? Who'd a thought.
is a good game
I got a free gift card from work yeah I am th best
Good tips! I must admit I've neglected the chance to use maces and axes. Gonna start carrying one around.
I think you're supposed to swing the sword in the direction the cursor tells you, otherwise the enemy will just block or dodge it. Well that's what I have noticed when fighting enemies. I don't recall them teaching you in the tutorial sword fighting this.
The archery aiming is horrendous (but realistic). I had so much trouble just hitting the hares for the hunting quest. I can't even imagine using a bow on actual enemies.
And my favorite, close quarter bow, run backwards while aiming for the face, it only takes one
I got a bit over-eager early on. I was doing sidequests fighting guys in plate armour before I even met Bernard.
Same I was able to 2 shot Runt at pribyslavitz because I was busy cutting down bandits and getting the st. George's sword and took Ulrich down in about 4 strikes.
learnt a few things here thank you very much
He talked a bit about master strikes, but I cannot stress enough how OP it is in a fight. You can be outnumbered 5 to 1, and you keep hitting those master strikes, and they just drop like flies
I'm at the point in this game when it takes 1 to 3 slashes/stabs to kill almost anyone with a long sword, some skills are too op imo
I had to mod it down. Found some useful mods that reduce weapon damage scaling with strength and skill, really good for lategame balance and doesnt break early game balance unlike other mods
Do you have any particular ones in mind? Enemies can't even surrender because they just bleed to death, had to replay a quest multiple times in order to talk with a guy
Yup. I feel like the devs didn't even change this considering so many people playing the alpha and beta. I can one shot almost anyone and it's ridiculous. Expensive weapons are too strong and strength adds too much damage for Henry. At least, they should make Herods sword 20k if they're gonna make it that strong. I can take out any person in plate armor with ease and I one shot cumans because of my perk. It makes fights really anti climatic and boring.
Meng Fang then dont use that sword and perk ....and fight with other weapons. Simple
Satwik K that doesn't fix the problem of everything being so imbalanced. How about being able to auto block with using a bow?
Thoroughly enjoy the game but i rage quit on it so hard.
the game is a true love hate relationship experience lol
I did not know about the rest handing a longsword thing. I figured I just want good at combos. Ty
If I get surrounded I just run away and hopefully only have to fight one enemy at a time. You need to et the fast sprint in the vitality perks for this. It works well because if you can put some distance between you and the enemy, you can get your bow out and start shooting them.
I always put my marker to where I am going to run away to before trying to take on a bunch of enemies
Mr. Archer will hesitate? BS. I've had guys kill their friends with arrows quite often.
I thought thats what he was gonna say
Well, either way, problem solved. XD
I'm more of a sword/shield type. Y won't that be good later game?
Armoured targets are more resistant to slash damage and much less resistant to blunt damage. So Warhammer are better for late game armoured targets
Good info. Thanks for your time and info
the fleeing ones always come back, learnt this one the difficult way when i wondered why was being killed by a sudden hit animation that made no sense,,,, it was the archer hitting my back that was fleeing
Who needs skill when you have st George's sword?
what if u dont know how to use it?
I have almost maxed out combat and sword skills from a bit of a glitch exploit at the start of the game. I beat runt in about 2 hits lol
I fist fought some guys for 2 coins (groshen?) Too I just wailed on them and it only took about half my stamina before they were unconscious and then I robbed their bodies for about 30 coins each, did this with all 3 guys lol.
I also intimidate my way out of guard searches.
I know it's cheap and the challenge is fun but I'm having fun this way too lol. I still suck at the stealth stuff too. And I also can still die if I get ganged up on by armoured dudes like guards or Cummins
AyZeD you’ve ruined the game for yourself tbh the challenge is fun I also like going in guns blazing but the chalking is what makes it fun
There's actually one more tip and I recently use this to give enemy a fast hard strike: you get closer to them and there will be clenching a sword animation with your enemy. Then you need to fast tap right or left click before enemy could counter you. That will give you a second or two window to land a heavy attack on head. Best to use that with headcracker and sadist perk.
"whilst not the most knightly weapon, a bow can be your friend"
Matchlocks would like to know your location
Lol you guys trolled this game live but know 2 weeks later you giving tips ..smh
Here's a tip for high level stealth and herbalism at the tutorial section you can take every herb knock out NPCs who are alone take everything they own their gonna die anyway so why not this levels herbalism and stealth fast it'll take about 45 minutes to get to 15 herbalism which is pretty fast then you can sell the herbs in town for almost 300 g on leaving town even if you buy repair kits you then put all the clothes and stolen items in your house chest you can get them when you go to do the burial scene then they'll be available for selling to merchants and the thief guy who paid for your doctor bill after doing his find the ring mission then you have all his gold after that and a skill book also learn to read early you get a lot of skill boost that way
The game was fun only in the first play through, after you do every quest in the game it just gets boring
No shit... that's how single player games work you pillock.
@@AH-ms5uv witcher 3: hold my beer.
Makes it look so easy! Masterful
IMPORTANT!!! Some short sword combos require NO SHIELD to be equipped!
Read the combo descriptions, if they don’t mention a shield then you need to keep your other hand free.
How can you combo when you just get master striked as soon as you attack
DudeMan BroGuy that’s my problem too
If you don't like the sword combat you can always switch to your bow and move backwards slowly the enemies won't attack you and you can easily headshot them REALISM WOW.
Henry is able to auto block too with his bow drawn out. So much imbalance in this game. I was in plate armor and took out a whole bandit camp with a bow and took no damage because. It's ridiculous how their damage only damages your stamina first and for them, it's completely different. Overall, pretty unrealistic combat and dumb how devs didn't fix the many problems this game yields
Meng Fang You should make a video to get the word out, many people are getting fooled into spending 60$ on a game that isn't what it claims to be.
Nice shot at the end
I played Henry as a master long swordsman never used any other weapons until I found myself trapped with no weapon and had to improvise with an axe I picked up. And I’ve never gone back an axe and shield is superior to a sword in every way.
