Have seen reviews where Sunshine Man is stated as almost unisex. I tested it and found it definitely worked on my female skin beautifully whereas I didn't like Sunshine Woman. It's too bad they can't market Sunshine Man as something other than a "men's" fragrance. No there's no gender in fragrances but this one leans unisex for me. Thoughts?
Solid review. Don't care for Sunshine but Bracken Man, Amouage's fougere. Unique as always. Cloves, nutmeg and patchouli dominant. Kinda black licorice direction in the dry down. Spicy but like no spicy fragrance out there. Modern fougere. Masculine, memorable and unique.
I haven't tried Sunshine,but I just love Bracken!Such an amazing scent...for me,not challenging at all.Nothing dated,or old school,like the original Paco Rabanne,which i find so old grandpa,this is very modern,with classic twist...utterly beautiful.
Bracken man is such a classy & elegant fragrance to my nose . Haven’t sampled ☀️ man & would love 2 soon . Since all niche houses & designers are doing oud these days .. i think it is very smart that amouage doing the opposite & bringing something fresh & different to their table . I was shocked when I heard that one of the best fragrances Amouage Sunshine Man is discontinued! Sebastian do you know reason they discontinued Sunshine Man?
I have sunshine man, initially I don't like it because of the herbal opening and immediately I scrub it off. Then I give it try for the second time last fall and boy oh boy... after passing that herbal opening I fall in love with it. Yes it is a bit gourmandish but the fragrance opens every layer with an interesting twist . One of my fav from the house of Amouage.
I went through the same process. In fact, the opening is STILL a little bit of a challenge occasionally, but so worth the wait once it starts evolving.
Couple of things about Bracken Man in my opinion. It is definitely a Fougere, maybe a classic Fougere, albeit a very earthy, deep, dark green one. Like taking the "smell" of the green fern frond itself but with the damp, earthy roots with the dirt/mud with it. It is very much like Houbigant Fougere Royale 2010 to me, although with more earthy/rooty/soil/muddy aspects. That is why I refer to Bracken Man as a "classic" Fougere, because Fougere Royale 2010 is the reimagined 1882 Fougere prototype. But I don't think either BM or FR is very "barbershop-y", and I think that may demonstrate how the Fougere evolved. I have an entire wall-mounted vitrine displaying "barbershop" fougeres, with the usual suspects - TF Beau de Jour, YSL Rive Gauche, Davidoff Zino, Azzaro Pour Homme, Penhaligon Sartorial, MDCI Invasion Barbare, Drakkar Noir, MMM Replica At the Barbers, et. All of those throw the "barbershop" vibe. But there is a distinct difference in all of those in my collection as a group and the Bracken Man/Fougere Royale taken as a group. It seems the two groups are related but differentiated. The classic and later "barbershop". Just my opinion.
I love Bracken because of the way clove is used in this aromatic fougere. You don’t usually see that note used in this genre and it gives Bracken a uniqueness while still being wearable. I still can’t get used to the immortelle in Sunshine as it’s not one of my favorite notes.
Have you smelled Beach Hut Man? It’s by far my favorite from the house. It reminds me of a very expensive bar of soap. A bar of Irish spring soap covered in mint, Pine and orange blossom. It’s so classy yet wearable 365

Only the best of them could pull off any sort of comparison between these two fragrances. Well done, sir! Challenging doesn't begin to describe my relationship with Bracken Man, and therein lies the difference between you and I (and most of your audience, apparently) you have a more sophisticated sense of smell than I may ever possess. But as Sunshine Man was an acquired taste for me, hope is not lost.

For some reason the tonka and lavender in Sunshine Man comes across to me like a dirty dishrag at first. It does get better after a while and it is much more pleasant at arm's length.
I much prefer wearing and smelling bracken than with sunshine. I don't know why but Sunshine reminds me of this weird creamsicle kind of vibe, not my taste...
Amouage has always been a little too challenging for me! The only one I've been able to pull off so far is Reflection Man. I know, I know... I'm a wuss! 😂
Those who like bracken man I suppose wouldn't mind being stuffed inside of an old woodshed full of nutmeg grounds for a couple of days deep inside the forest. But anyway, sunshine man is the much superior fragrance. :-)
Honestly living in an all year round hot country no Amouage is good enough I have sample most none smells good to me. Creed smells better and even sauvage.

Scent wise, Sunshine man reminds me of a really high quality green monster energy drink! So dang good!!

They are both great fragrances. I would prefer Bracken for myself, Sunshine is great on my wife. Unfortunately Bracken is not available anymore.

Just received the Amouage Discovery collection for man, tried Bracken and first response was "this smells like the swamp/marsh...horrible.
