    Just subscribed to your channel, great information! Compex is currently having a sale on their units, so i'm highly debating on picking one up. Would you mind going a little more in depth with the different programs? I was thinking about getting the performance model, but if the edge model suffices for what I needed it for then that would save me a little bit of money. I am currently studying sports medicine (AT), work in a PT clinic, and am a strength athlete myself, I would think the prewarmup setting may be a useful program as well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    You can get Universal leads as an accessory from Compex web site if that's an issue for you.

    Hi Mike, very informative and great comparison. I am looking to buy a MarcPro unit however in a bit of dilemma between the two models. I am recovering from a SLAP tear and lower back injury and recently got back to lifting. If I have to buy a personal unit, would you say that MarcPro plus is a better investment in a long run?
    Cheers!

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 лет назад +3

      doodle0007 the plus will definitely give you more versatility. The high frequency setting covers the area of a traditional tens unit, so it's like having two units in 1. So if the extra dollar amount isn't too much of a barrier. Go with the plus model. Thanks for watching and for the comment!!!!!

    I found this video to be pretty helpful compared to the others. So I work in the hospital 12+hrs. Do you think the edge compex is good enough for post work recovery. I suffer from achilies tendinosis and stretching and recovery are a big factor to starting and ending my day. I'm hoping this is a solution avoiding surgery. And going to my chiro for interferential therapy. Best, Neil

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 лет назад +1

      Neil, I do not think any type of stim is a end all solution for you. If you have tendinosis...then why do you stress your achilles? You need more comprehensive programming than just stim. Stim is a tool, not a solution. Sure it can help manage your symptoms, but its not going to fix your problem. If your chiro tells you stim is going to fix this, then find a new therapist ASAP

    • @CERnoriVELO
      @CERnoriVELO 7 лет назад +1

      Thank you for your detailed answer, my chiro is just 1 of the hands in my issue, it seems that surgery is going to be necessary at some point, it is just something i cannot financial take on being out of work at this time. what i was trying to do is minimize the flare ups and discomfort while continuing weightloss and preventing it from getting worse faster, i am not looking for an end all solution, just something to help get me through the days coming. i appreciate your response!

    Compex sport 2 does not allow you to adjust frequency or pulse timing!!?? Even a $20 tens has more useful features then the small number of programs this thing offers. DO NOT BUY COMPEX unless you like painful zapping with no way to adjust pulse width / frequency. Total rip off.

    Hi Mike! Interesting review. I have planned an ACL athroskopic surgery in early feb and recently ordered a Compex edge 2. It is the first time I will be using an EMS device so I was wondering whether you could suggest optimal use after the surgery. Muscles to target, mode preference, power, frequency of daily use, anything would be useful for me, as well as for future reference if anyone ever need it! Thank you in advance!

    great review. I always wanted a Marc Pro but the price is way too high and they do not have much of a discount available. I got lucky and bought a CompEx Sport Elite used at FB marketplace and paid $65 and then ordered new pads on amazon.

    Does the compex have a similar setting or program to the high frequency on the Marc pro plus? My friend used his high frequency lead on my patellar tendinitis and it did wonders.

    Hi Mike, I got the Marc Pro+ a few weeks ago and it's time to get new leads. Is there a brand you would recommend? The ones sold by Marc Pro seem too expensive to me. Thanks!

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 лет назад +2

      I would contact Marc Pro, if you bought it direct, then generally their customer support is excellent. To my knowledge, there are no aftermarket leads for the Marc Pro. Ask them for the commercial ones... If its only a few weeks old then they very well may just replace them for you. Be careful how you wrap the wires also...

      They have recovery settings which increases blood flow and aids recover time. Tens units just mask pain. So a plain tens unit is much cheaper

    • @BeHereNow333
      @BeHereNow333 7 лет назад +1

      As well, having a little tough time deciding which compex unit to go with. Any help would be great ! I'm a powerlifter btw. I'm a little hesitant to beleive that some of the settings on the sport elite aren't gimicky (I.e. strength building ). What are your thoughts on that

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 лет назад +3

      WanderLift as far as I know there are no more universal pins on the compex units. The old units used to have the universals. Sadly they no longer do. I think you instincts are sound on the elite models. I'm sure there is an appication, and maybe I'm missing the boat? But I don't think a stim unit will increase strength or anything of the sort. It's a tool, an aid, and should be viewed and used as such which is why I keep it simple and stick to the base model. What are you trying to do with it?

    • @BeHereNow333
      @BeHereNow333 7 лет назад +1

      Athletic Movement Protocol sorry typo- I meant I'm a little hesitant to beleive the additional features on the sport elite are legitament. They sound gimicky. I'm more so looking to adopt another modality to recover from training. Currently I employ a combination of mobility work, cupping, lacrosse ball work, and when needed my RMT. But then again if there are any benefits to the other functions in the more expensive models and they aren't just false promises I'd of course be open to it.

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 лет назад +2

      WanderLift to be honest. At the clinic I used to work out where we had some of the other models, we rarely used any setting besides the active recovery and resistance. So like I said in the video, I don't think they are necessary although I certainly could be wrong. For general recovery, I do prefer the Marc pro if that's he intention your using it for. Easier, more comfortable etc
