I know it's a ton of work to clean out garden beds but how great it looks when all done and you're not sweating your glowing! Absolutely love the garden center footage as well! An idea between your beds would be to put down card board then cover with mulch or small stones. It works great to keep the path free of weeds. Thanks for the videos!
I love it when you girls get together, always makes me smile , especially when Catherine gets a little naughty and starts sneaking the chocolate s on offer.😂. Love the garden centre trip just bought bulbs myself to pop in the garden . Looking forward to the bulb planting video . ❤
Lovely video today Karen! Thanks for the garden center tour. I noticed those mugs and thought to myself, oh I want one of those!😊 Glad you got one! Love from East Tennessee USA.❤
Hi, I missed the trick with the milk containers in the barrel. Is it for drainage? I understand your comments on the loneliness or bare areas when we remove the foliage. I had a white wall behind the veg boxes and I would spend a fortune on plants thinking it was the problem. I had so many that nothing grew because they were strangled! Then someone advised darkening the wall with a deeper colour and added a trellis/feature to the centre. The difference was immediate. I love the videos. You make me laugh with the banter. I havent heard the word Bandjaxed since my dad passed. I laughed so much -thank you. Keep it up!. K
Karen, the tubs planted with the Erigeron daisy. If you have bulbs or any left over they would look wonderful in there as well. The daisy will cover up the stems of the bulbs as they finish and die back. Maybe a couple of different bulbs that flower at different times will also help to continue the flowering for longer. The bulbs will make their way up through the daisy. This way you will get a continuing display of flowers as well.
It was so wonderful to see your video this week and I look forward to your trip with Catherine! You did a lot in your garden. So glad you were able to get your barrels planted. They look great! The Christmas displays at the Garden Center were gorgeous and I had such a good time browsing with you and Catherine. Thank you Karen!
Those alliums will be so pretty 😍. Learned something new along with my cuppa. You guys call a windshield a windscreen.🤔 but there is no screen on it. So fascinating to see what ppl call things. Be well❤ off to Dainty's.
OMG. My daughter actually cut off a part of her finger, her fingerprint area. She'll possibly be fingerprintless on that finger. I used to get appalled that stores would decorate Christmas decor before Halloween, but I realized you enjoy Christmas more than just the month of December. DIY tree. Cut a branch 5 feet +. Spray paint it white and wrap the branches with white Christmas lights. Stick it in a cemented pot and wrap the pot with a glittered white cotton tree skirt. Oh, and hang crystals and icicle ornaments. Your garden is still beautiful. Where I live, summer won't leave us. Blow some rain toward Hawaii.
Just leave the ivy it would cover your concrete fence posts then plant loads of climbers on all the bare fences and walls. It’s such a great size….so much potential.
I use the pots from the garden center to fill the space in large pots. It works great and allows for extra irrigation. 💛🤎🧡. Enjoy your bulbs…thanks for taking us along. Love shopping with my two favorite Irish gals. Hello from Midwest USA. 😊
What a lovely day spent with you. Love the roses still blooming in the garden .have a good week . Thanks for sharing your outing to the garden centre love it.xxxx😊😊
Have you considered having vegetable and herb planters nearer your back door for easy access? If your existing planters were shuffled over just a little you could see cut flowers through the arch from your kitchen window. Just an idea
Yes to the green house in the back corner. As long as it doesn’t get to hot - but automatic roof vents and side vents are a blessing. And here in the south east corner of UK we had the first frost last night.
Happy Sunday Karen ! The garden will look stunning next year with all those alliums😍😍😍 Love garden centres that have Christmas bits in them. Lovely to see you and Catherine enjoying yourselves! Have a great week
I love a good garden centre I go from London each year to Haskins in West Sussex I just love it there they have a fabulous restaurant would be rude not to have lunch there
Thanks, Karen, for sharing this video, I have enjoyed it tremendously. Your garden looks great and you have inspired me to get out and do some more tidying in my own garden. I also love alliums and the ones you show are so different than mine. The Xmas tour has also got me thinking of what I should do this year. Really loved the Xmas wreath made with the wooden beads and foliage. You are lovely in your make-up free self. You look so young and fresh. I look forward to next weeks video. Laurie
You have a lovely big garden is it ok to still plant bulbs I still have all that to do unfortunately not been too well last couple of weeks as soon as i feel better I’ll be out there just not up to it right now
Think its every 3 years you rotate the veg growing. 😊. A vew logs , leaves and all the dead veg and plants put into the barrel to fill them it will all break down and great feed for the soil. the plastic actually makes the compost smell its terrible,

You and Catherine have such fun together, it’s great to see all those Christmas ideas at the garden centre.
Great informative and fun video of yourself and Catherine at the garden centre, Karen 😍😆 and you did such great work in the garden, well done.

That would be a great place for a greenhouse. How delightful that all is cleared and tidy.
Lovely video today Karen! Thanks for the garden center tour. I noticed those mugs and thought to myself, oh I want one of those!😊 Glad you got one! Love from East Tennessee USA.❤
I'll have to go back and get the other mug so that this one isn't on its own!
I love a garden centre at christmas too Karen, well done for putting the garden to bed for winter xx
I love hearing the seagulls in your videos. You’ll have to take us on a drive one day to show how close you are to the coast.
I'm a 2 minute drive to the coast, so very close!!
I forgot to say I added a piece of weed cloth or shade cloth over my logs before I filled with soil.

Thank you so much!
The Christmas display was GORGEOUS! Thanks for showing us.
So happy to share!
Your garden is still looking good. I love the massive clump of pale lilac flowers (possibly an aster?) behind your ponytail grass 💜.
It's a Carlow Aster! I think there are 3 plants there and I just love them so much!
Me too, they're such a lovely pop of colour.

I love the rose bush so much. We get lots of blooms right up until November!
I just love your videos. So relaxing! And I love your friendship with Katherine. Speaking of which, where did Katherine get her dress?!?! So pretty!
Thanks for watching! I'm not sure about the dress, but Catherine might be able to help if you comment under her video?
Your garden looks lovely and thanks for taking us along to the garden centre.
Lovely displays xx
The displays were so beautiful!
I still haven’t gotten any bulbs, and I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to get any this late in the season. Bravo for finding some great ones!
Hopefully you will! I bought lots more bulbs over the weekend and can't wait to get planting them!
Yay!! Now, for the planting of them... that's always the hard part. lol!! @@Lovelygirliebits
Love this video ❤
Thanks for watching!
Have you considered having vegetable and herb planters nearer your back door for easy access? If your existing planters were shuffled over just a little you could see cut flowers through the arch from your kitchen window. Just an idea
I'm going to be putting a herb planter section together for just outside the back door this year. I can't wait!
Yes to the green house in the back corner. As long as it doesn’t get to hot - but automatic roof vents and side vents are a blessing. And here in the south east corner of UK we had the first frost last night.
I could definitely feel the chill in the air last night!
I absolutely love your videos Karen, they bring me such joy💕💕
Ah thank you so much!
Happy Sunday Karen ! The garden will look stunning next year with all those alliums😍😍😍 Love garden centres that have Christmas bits in them. Lovely to see you and Catherine enjoying yourselves! Have a great week
I bought even more alliums since this video, so my garden will be full of them!!
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I had a wonderful time. Good job on the garden and bulb purchases.
Thanks for watching!
Love your voice, it is quite and calm and your videos too! Can’t wait for the next one
Thank you! I think I tend to talk lower when I'm outside as I've lots of neighbours and don't want to annoy them with my waffling!

Thanks so much Laurie! I still have lots more tidying and weeding to do in the garden, so that will keep me busy!
Loving your pet snail, galloping up the fence at 06.37. He's a big 'un. Drop him over next door to sort the ivy out
I didn't even cop that! He'll have to tackle that ivy for me and save me some hassle!!
It’s a sin not to go in - my new mantra 😂 another great video ❤
I can justify going into a garden centre any time!
That garden center was outrageously insane! Loved all the displays for Christmas. You and Catherine are so cute together 👍🏻💕🙏🏻🇺🇸
We always have lots of fun when we're together!

They're called Carlow Asters (I'm not sure what the Latin name is, but they're so beautiful!)

Ah I wasn't sure, so I said to myself it might be better to be cautious!
I don’t think ye will be allowed into that garden centre again😂😂
They love us 😂😂 (I hope!)
