I FINALLY pulled the trigger on this knife and I gotta say I am pretty damn impressed. Your review and follow up were dead on. I haven't taken it out in the wild yet but this thing is sharp, solid, and feels good! All that for under $30!!! So glad you guys turned me on to this budget beast!
Saw this knife on another channel and got interested. Saw your test and bought the knife. My clip is rock solid. Didn't get a weird cleaning cloth. Under 27 bucks to my door. Thanks guys.
On the baton test: that type of lock can fail due to inertia. It's physics. Slamming the baton on the end of the knife handle can tend to suddenly move the rest of the knife forward and leaves the axis button behind for an instant. A strong spring would solve the issue but would make it more difficult to close. Some other lock types won't have this basic physics issue.
Thank you for pointing this out Ed. Through the testing of axis locks, we slowly realized this. Yet this type of lock has become one of our favorites for various other reasons. It clearly has a flaw, but were talking about something you would rarely ever do to such a knife. This knife really had an effect on the way we grade the knives
@@NewAgeTactical Thanks for doing these interesting tests! Sitivien has some interesting knives at nice prices and some models that diverge from what a lot of the other brands are doing. I ordered a couple but they're not here yet. Personally like good liner locks and G10 or carbon fiber, but we all have our preferences and that's why there's so many models. 🙂
7:00 unbelievable 😆, Thanks for the shoutout bois 🍻 Sitivien has quickly become my favorite budget brand. I currently own 2x 102s 2x 103s, and just ordered the 110 after this review. Keep up the great work 🤙
Stivien makes great knives . I have 5, and they are sharp and solid. I see these knives going way up in price. That's why I'm getting these knives now.
This video changed my mind on the axis lock. Got the ST109 axis lock myself did a review of it on my channel and gave a shout out to you guys and a link back to this video. Thanks for the great video.
A rag and a set of large slipjoint pliers...compress the whole package (slowly and carefully of course) and that loop will shrink down flat without altering the fit or strength of the clip. YES they offer some of the best factory edges on any knife from any brand. It's an amazing line of budget knives.
I somehow missed this review, dang it! Got damn! I am digging this knife!!! Cant believe the factory edge on that. I think D2 gets a bad rap b/c of the fact that it takes a bit more to sharpen. Every D2 steel knife I have I have been able to get a razor edge on w with only a bit more effort. Damn this is a sweet knife for that price!
Im glad you said that because we both still enjoy D2. When we are off camera, we really take our time with a sharpening and the D2 has not had too many issues
You guys should check out the Ontario Utilitac series. They’re an old series, but have always been under-appreciated. Same price point as the Sitivien, but with AUS8A steel. Downgraded steel, but the action and lockup is the best I’ve ever felt on a sub 30 dollar knife
Well crap. I missed this one too. And I may have my head in the sand but have never heard of this brand! With stuff like this it’s no wonder me and a million other people have gained interest in the so called budget brands. D2 at 59~61 Rockwell is a badass steel. I gotta quit checking in on you guys ! Im fixing to have to order yet ANOTHER dam knife roll. Lol. I admire the way you two abuse mutilate and try to destroy these things. What little mine go through does not compare. But I can be assured it’s a strong well built blade. I see Amazon has them. Im hoping to luck into one local. Either way i gotta check this brand out. Thanks again for what you do. I feel like I’m just shooting the sh!t with a couple of buddies. Im tired of the fancier reviews that really don’t tell ya sht. Keep it up guys.
Thanks Ed! I know I have said it before but guys like you fully understand the point of this channel. We always thought we knew the good budget brands but so many companies have come out of the woodwork since we started. We will eventually do expensive blades here and there, which has me wondering how they will hold up to the budget blades
Hey hey Yo's, I'm always looking for an interesting knife for a great value like You's. This knife is in my wheelhouse. There's another Sitivian might want to look at. ST310, dual deployment, nice look with 14C28N. Underrated budget steel. Very nice ergoes also!
DBK does a baton test with an axis lock and it did the same thing. I think all or most axis lock knives do the same thing. I think the fault is due to the design of the axis lock.
You might be on to something. We are both fans of the axis lock but I believe it has occurred with every one that we have tested. Id have to go back and check
I'm a little late to comment but I just found you guys but a knife I recommend testing is the CJRB Crag, up to you if you go recoil lock or the other option but I have the recoil lock version and it's pretty solid
C'mon!? No love for me!? I specifically said that you should review Sitivien ST-110! I like the color and love the "cork" look. The pocket clip is utter crap. Took it off myself.
Hi guys I hope you are well! The knife in question is a really nice knife, very sharp but non very resistant, the price is also right so it definitely passed !!! I also say that in Italy in my opinion it cannot be considered an ideal knife like EDC. As you know in Italy the use of weapons is subject to heavy restrictions and the carrying of the knife must be supported by "right reason"; the knife in question is too large and aggressive to be able to justify carrying it every day and in certain situations. On the D2 remember that it is a semi-stainless steel therefore subject to oxidation if not properly treated and oiled, moreover the D2 cuts very well thanks to the quantities of chromium but it is not at all easy to sharpen thanks to its extreme hardness! Good life see you soon !!!
Good point Nicola! As much as we are fans of the D2, it is a pain to sharpen. Im going to do some research on weapon restrictions in other countries. I think that would be a really interesting thing to include a list of restricted countries when we test knives over a certain size since most of our subscribers are from all over the world. Thanks buddy!

Congrats on 1k subs!

See this is the stuff I like to hear. How other people solve the problem. Definitely will not be the last Sitivien
Do the sitivien 152. I’m pretty sure you’ll love it!
Great deal for less than $30 congrats on the 1k guys
$160 for a D2 Benchmade vs $27 for D2 Stevia... damn, thats a great deal (kinda ugly though).

Honestly we have seen AUS8A survive some crazy stuff so added to the list!
Amazing funny informative vid guys!!! I loved it. Lock fail is a no go for me but 27 bucks wow

You guys need to try some Cold Steel blades!
AK47 and Recon 1 are some pretty good folders from them.
Added to the list!
I don’t seem to have much of a problem sharpening d2, what’s the deal? Just more work ?
Yeah just a longer steadier sharpen. We are finally getting the hang of it and still love D2
C'mon!? No love for me!? I specifically said that you should review Sitivien ST-110! I like the color and love the "cork" look. The pocket clip is utter crap. Took it off myself.
Aw Man! sorry buddy we definitely messed up our notes. We will correct that in the post review. Credit where credit is due, this was a jawdropper!
@@NewAgeTactical Don't worry about it dudes. Credit is not needed, was just messing with you guys. Keep up the good work! Regards from Finland
D2 is easy as pie to sharpen imo. Great steel.
I feel like it is easy, it just takes a little more time and attention

it's not a design flaw because it was not designed to take that kind of abuse.
Great video thanks guys
Sitivien knives are legit. For under $30 I challenge you to find anything remotely as good.
We have found a few $20 knives that survived but the quality of Sitivien was better
I'm gonna get one , can't have enough knives , I would like to hang hang out drinking in talking knives , guns , guitars ect .,
200$ for a bitchmade or 30 for this...uh yeah pretty easy choice. Benchmade is FAR too greedy for me to bother buying another one of their blades.
I'm on amazon as we speak. I love this quality for the price
