going back in September i have a pool to tile in Varadero. Yes I'm working in Cuba. Looking to marry and buy a house there too! I always bring Olive oil for my sun screen. I can't get dark enough
I was in Varadero at the end of June and I have to say that you NEED bug spray. Also I would suggest to bring a box of kleenex (or some type of paper towels). This will be very handy especially when returning home. Sometimes there is no toilet paper at the airport washroom, so pack it in your carry on.

And never go to a new resort opening no matter how good the price is, because they will probably run out of booze and don't have enough staff. The reason the price is so low is because you are there guinea pigs.
Our last Cuban trip was 2019. Have you been since covid? Our favorite resort is Cuatro Palmas in Varadero. Curious how things are in Cuba now? We hear comments all over the map, from good to terrible.

Cuban marriages are very iffy. Beware.
