I've been to Varadero, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Hoguin, Cayo Largo. Bar far the best spot for beaches alone, Cayo Largo has been the number one spot for me. Another amazing video! Spoken like a homie from around the way and not some privileged entitled tourist. The time you took to edit this must have been extensive. Very much appreciated. I’ve been to both. Varadero I find too commercial and very much over populated by visitors but that long beach is perfect for daily walks. Playa Cayo Santa Maria Resort is my fav of all the Cuban resorts minus the exclusive adult only isolated section of Ibeostar Ensenachos that you walked through. Those accommodations were fabulous. Heading to Grand Aston (Club) soon, for my 21st visit to Cuba. I agree with you; all that I care about are the beach, a clean room, and a comfy bed. I’ve been all over Cuba, and elsewhere, but Cayo Coco is my fav because I can enjoy some solitude if I want to. My favourite resorts are Memories Caribe, Sol Cayo Coco (2 beaches) and Sol Cayo Santa Maria. Anybody who has complaints about Cuba, just doesn’t “get it” and are not my kind of people.

Absolutely on the List!!! I’m at the Grand Memories (Sanctuary) Right now making videos but I will head there this Fall Thank Victoria for watching Mike
Thanks for posting this Mike. Question about solo travelling, which resort did you enjoy the most? For me, I've been to Melia Las Antillas 5 times and out of all 5 different resorts I stayed at, I found Las Antillas to be like a 2nd home. Although the buildings and rooms are in need of repair and the food isn't the greatest, the staff are friendly and down to earth and they always seem to attract guests that I feel comfortable with. I also really like the layout of the whole property.
I just got back from Cayo Coco yesterday. I was very disappointed. I stayed at the Memories Flamenco. The buffet was closed and there was hardly anything to eat. No bread, no fries, no sandwiches no eggs. The a la cart restaurants were awful. Portions were so small and the variety of food in the restaurants were minimal. Dinner was fast, about 15 to 20 minutes and you're out. The worst part was the mosquitoes. We were all eaten alive, no joke. I know that isnt their fault but i had no idea it would have been that bad. People were nice, met great folks, beach was gorgeous. Just no food!! :(
@@Finding-Fish Yes, our travel agent told us but we still went as I had no idea that a resort packed full of people would barely have food. As for bug spray, I did bring some ( per your recommendations) but I would have had to bathe in it for it to really help. My toilet stopped working 4 times and my cards to get into my room.
I want to visit, or maybe even live in Miramar, because my parents were born there. They left, in the 1960's because of the communist government. I want to visit the places where both my parents, and their families went to school, lived, and also visit my mother's families graves.😢😢😢😢😢
Se ve completamente vacío, no hay tráfico porque la Isla no tiene combustible, ya no hay mucha gente que quiera ir porque la comida es pésima, nada comparado con Punta Cana y Mexico!
I've been to Varadero, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Hoguin, Cayo Largo. Bar far the best spot for beaches alone, Cayo Largo has been the number one spot for me. Highly recommend checking Cayo Largo out.

Cayo coco i found the water way too shallow for miles out and HOT i did not like that about the resort (grand muthu) even though it was beautiful. How was the beach where you are?
Sorry to bother you once again homie. Looking to book Cayo Coco for the first time for a trip first week in February. Using your opinion as one that I now trust and respect. What is your top two resorts there if your priorities is a long long beach to walk everyday and food choices. Thank you.
I haven’t Spent that Much time this year in Cayo Coco, i've spent alot of time in Varadero Santa Maria and Holguin....
heading back to cayo Coco soon!!!

Currently in Varadero!!!
Videos coming soon

Can you tell us about power outages, today the media is reporting one for the entire island affecting 10 million people!. My worry as a tourist is refrigeration and eating spoiled food. Thanks
Cuba only has 11 million people!!!
There are power issues everyday!!!!
What was your TV station source?
Great video. I've been to Varadero, but not Cayo Coco. I've never had a problem in Varadero, but I understand Cayo Coco has lots of mosquitoes and " no se- eems " ?
Yes very true,
I'm in Varadero right now and NO BUGS!!!!
but that will change after the first good rain!!!
I love watching your videos. It's been a huge help in planning my honeymmon to Cuba. Can you please check out Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguín.
Absolutely on the List!!!
I’m at the Grand Memories (Sanctuary)
Right now making videos but I will head there this Fall
Thank Victoria for watching

Thanks for posting this Mike. Question about solo travelling, which resort did you enjoy the most? For me, I've been to Melia Las Antillas 5 times and out of all 5 different resorts I stayed at, I found Las Antillas to be like a 2nd home. Although the buildings and rooms are in need of repair and the food isn't the greatest, the staff are friendly and down to earth and they always seem to attract guests that I feel comfortable with. I also really like the layout of the whole property.
That’s cool I might hit that resort
Sanctuary white sands is a good option and Grand Aston Paredon also is a good options in my opinion
Did you know the buffet was closed?
Did you take bug spray?
@@Finding-Fish Yes, our travel agent told us but we still went as I had no idea that a resort packed full of people would barely have food. As for bug spray, I did bring some ( per your recommendations) but I would have had to bathe in it for it to really help. My toilet stopped working 4 times and my cards to get into my room.
@@timchapman164I was so happy to get back home.
I want to visit, or maybe even live in Miramar, because my parents were born there. They left, in the 1960's because of the communist government. I want to visit the places where both my parents, and their families went to school, lived, and also visit my mother's families graves.😢😢😢😢😢
I would never go thru the airport in Varadero again. Worst airport in the world. Cayo Coco is much better.
