I've been to Varadero, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Hoguin, Cayo Largo. Bar far the best spot for beaches alone, Cayo Largo has been the number one spot for me. Highly recommend checking Cayo Largo out.
As a female who has traveled alone to Cuba, it has been the most safest that I've ever felt while vacationing in the caribbean. It's my number one go to.

For me they all the same the beach in Varadero was perfect as Cayo Coco
Last year we went to Melia International and Barcelo Solymar. The beach was perfect. No mosquitos. Cayo Coco is remote that even on July there was mosquitos. If I go back to Cayo Coco I like to go at Tryp because the beach was wide.
And yes sometimes it's annoying to see noisy crying kids and grabbing food on the counter with runny nose
3 years ago we went to Iboristar Playa Pilar. Kids were crying screaming , eating on the dining room with dripping nose

Another amazing video! Spoken like a homie from around the way and not some privileged entitled tourist. The time you took to edit this must have been extensive. Very much appreciated. I’ve been to both. Varadero I find too commercial and very much over populated by visitors but that long beach is perfect for daily walks. And cause it’s less separated from the mainland I have always found less supply issues when it comes to food and pop. Cayo Coco’s beach is so much nicer and the beach is floury soft. But food selection and supply often an issue. Cayo Santa Maria is my fav though and hope you add this part to your next mega comparison. Playa Cayo Santa Maria Resort is my fav of all the Cuban resorts minus the exclusive adult only isolated section of Ibeostar Ensenachos that you walked through. Those accommodations were fabulous. Getting that whole villa with kitchen and hot tub was wow! Even had a private meal cooked by a chef in our villa one night. But getting back to Santa Maria I hope you review Royalton one day. One resort I still need to visit but always so pricey compared to all others.
Have a great day from VanCity!

Heading to Grand Aston (Club) soon, for my 21st visit to Cuba. I agree with you; all that I care about are the beach, a clean room, and a comfy bed. I’ve been all over Cuba, and elsewhere, but Cayo Coco is my fav because I can enjoy some solitude if I want to. My favourite resorts are Memories Caribe, Sol Cayo Coco (2 beaches) and Sol Cayo Santa Maria. I detest anything fancy, I’m 63, was widowed 7 years ago, but I feel very safe when I come to Cuba on my own. Starfish beach
      Fantastic breeze
      Massive beach beautiful colour
      At low tide it’s awesome!
Jardines beach is nice no breeze really because it’s in a bay!!! It’s beautiful at low tide but it doesn’t really compare to Starfish!!!!

Hi Mike. My girlfriend and I are looking to book a resort in Varadero in January. We're in our mid-20s and looking for kid-free atmosphere. But we still want to be able to party at night. Are there any resorts you suggest I check out? Thanks in advance. Great vids.

Are you at the Grand Aston Cayo Paredón Beach Resort? This is Camagüey right? How is the depth of water at the beach? Im looking to go just for the beach and quiet time for as a solo traveller. Cayo coco i found the water way too shallow for miles out and HOT i did not like that about the resort (grand muthu) even though it was beautiful. How was the beach where you are?

Sorry to bother you once again homie. Looking to book Cayo Coco for the first time for a trip first week in February. Using your opinion as one that I now trust and respect. What is your top two resorts there if your priorities is a long long beach to walk everyday and food choices. Thank you.

Thanks for posting this Mike. Question about solo travelling, which resort did you enjoy the most? For me, I've been to Melia Las Antillas 5 times and out of all 5 different resorts I stayed at, I found Las Antillas to be like a 2nd home. Although the buildings and rooms are in need of repair and the food isn't the greatest, the staff are friendly and down to earth and they always seem to attract guests that I feel comfortable with. I also really like the layout of the whole property.

I just got back from Cayo Coco yesterday. I was very disappointed. I stayed at the Memories Flamenco. The buffet was closed and there was hardly anything to eat. No bread, no fries, no sandwiches no eggs. The a la cart restaurants were awful. Portions were so small and the variety of food in the restaurants were minimal. Dinner was fast, about 15 to 20 minutes and you're out. The worst part was the mosquitoes. We were all eaten alive, no joke. I know that isnt their fault but i had no idea it would have been that bad. People were nice, met great folks, beach was gorgeous. Just no food!! :(

    • @Finding-Fish

    • @antoniettavilleneuve498

@@Finding-Fish Yes, our travel agent told us but we still went as I had no idea that a resort packed full of people would barely have food. As for bug spray, I did bring some ( per your recommendations) but I would have had to bathe in it for it to really help. My toilet stopped working 4 times and my cards to get into my room.
