Great job once again! You'll have to come take a peek at the new Aeon NOVA line next. Starting price is 12k and you get the pass-through and some additional Z depth along with several other upgraded features. 😁
What's your concern? I'd say it would be acceptable for running in my house with young children (noise wise). Wouldn't be worried about running it in our shop even when we had quieter office neighbors. I'd liken it to the level of a large industrial metal box fan.
@@LaserEverything yes, quiet office neighbors is exactly my worry lol. I currently work with a desktop laser which is pretty quiet, but looking to upgrade. Haven’t seen the Mira 9 in real life, so I can’t really judge how loud (or quiet) it will be and if it will piss off the neighbors
@vanderree our first rental shop was across from a therapist and next to an insurance agent's office, they never complained about noise from the machines. I doubt they'd even hear this machine enough to notice, and if it bothers them it's nothing a white noise machine wouldn't take care of.
Glad I finally seen a video that goes in depth on the 9!! Yeah I'm sold. I've been doing research and they have a great payment plan and all kinds of stuff! Wonder if they'll take half now & payments? LOL, doesn't hurt to ask! Keep pumping out videos. I've got notifications on!! And we'll be getting your class for this newbie entrepreneur. Might have to jump on a Nova!! 👍😁
Hi. Our school has 2 Mira 9 that are giving us some problems. One is not cutting showing the message of "water problem" and the autofocus stick hits the edges when doing the frame, the other is creating high condensation inside the cover door. Please help us find the solution to these issues. Thank you.
I think it costed me less than what this costs to buy a second hand 60x90 Co2 laser, a 1000x1000 CNC with 2000W spindle, a cutter plotter, a large format printer and an a3 laser printer...
@@andrewrobinson6703 the acceleration is really what drives the cycle times down. The advertised top speeds are very misleading. In essence, the smaller the items you're engraving, the bigger the effect this will have on your cycle times as the lasers will produce a greater amount of overscan attempting to rev up and rev down to the set speed. Of all the ones you have listed, the MIRA will be anywhere between 35-100+% faster depending on the size of the leather you plan to work with. Happy to run some samples for you and get you some exact numbers.
@@AeonLaserUSA i can send you a svg file. I sent one to Elisha Spector. I got a good video from Thunder already. Would love to see one from you. I was looking at the Nova 10.
Sounds great, but I can't justify that cost when my omron does a damn good job at 500ms... I can have 3 of them running at the same, it has done everything i've thrown at it, and with shallow z, it would take out many options for me.
You kept calling the OMTECH laser a Chinese import, but I noticed the crate your AEON came in had a label saying made in China. Can you explain the difference to me?
The Omtechs are imported straight from China to your door. The Aeon machines go to the US facility for testing and fine tuning prior to being sent out to you!
All depends on what you find important and what fits your needs in terms of size, power, capability, and use case. Lots to consider and everyone has things that are more/less important in their checklist of needs/wants, right? hehe
Great review! You beat me to it :) It's awesome machine (we have Mira 7) especially for tight space and engravings! There are few smaller issues like how it's network connector is wired that you can either use their AP module or have to disconnect it to use RJ-45 port and that darn autofocus pin that catches on material when you cutting (I had to remove mine and never use it again). Not a major issues, I still love mine and its perfect for the office space :)
Seems to me like all the Mira reviews are from people that have gotten the laser for free. Same as with G.Weike Cloud. I appreciate the video, but it's a whole lot harder to actually believe it's 'the best choice'.
Come to the site and sign up for the group and once you get in you will see how much the company and community care about the people that own their lasers. I just received mine yesterday.
Although the Aeon is a superior machine to the GF and the likes, I wouldn't consider it a high end machine since it could be compared to the air-cooled Epilog and Trotec machines at the next price level which is around $17,000.
Those are RF Tube machines I don't really think they're comparable. As far as Ruida controlled glass tube machines go this is certainly high end. It's my opinion the RF tube machines are a different beast all together.
@@LaserEverything They are and the way you keep moving up the laser food chain, it'll be only a matter of time when you get of these in your shop. Keep up the good work to bigger and better things.
@@nikoss1179 great topic! Our Super NOVA now features dual tubes, RF and DC for the best of both worlds. The thing about moving quickly is you have to have the wattage and pulse speed to back it up. We're at the brink of how quickly you can pulse a DC tube, but being able to do so with a 90-100W DC tube over a 30W RF tube amounts to a major speed advantage when it comes down to achieving similar results. In other words, there are not many applications where you can run a lower wattage RF tube at full speed and actually get a pronounced mark, certainly not if you want any real depth. Therefore you end up having to slow the speed down to compensate for the lack of power. Nevertheless, we've still found the increase in detail and lifespan of the RF tube to be advantageous for particular applications. It's all about what the end-user values most.
@@LaserEverything come out to Florida when you get a chance and you can test drive multiple brands side by side. It's a great way for anyone in the market to really get hands-on experience with all of the comparable brands before they buy.
Ethernet port is available though I didn't show it in the video we do cover it in available data transfer types. Ethernet, USB, Wifi and Flash Memory all work :)
Been away - just seeing this today. Nicely done, Alex. I've looked at these for next investment as well as Thunder. I love the lightweight head on each of them and the velocities and speed ramps that result - definite time savers. Z height is a big one for me and the ability to get that 4" lens in there when needed.. I've left Trotec and Epilog off the list just due to price diff (value seems much higher on Aeon/Thunder). If Aeon's new models come close to OMTech's Z-height, then I'm in - especially after this review. Thanks for the good work - I very much trust your opinion. K
Awesome machine, very pretty and powerful, love the video, straight to the point and very informative. Thanks for your comment! There's definitely a machine for everyone. Some people want all the bells and whistles and that's important to them! Some don't care and are willing to put in a bit more sweat equity to make a machine work for them. Takes all kinds 🙂
@@LaserEverything Absolutely! I totally understand. In my case, I'm a bit handy and I love all the technical stuff, I did some upgrades to my machine from camera to automatic focusing and a bunch of more upgrades for very little money, and have a machine that performs like a 12K and I spent roughly 3K. Great video though, love your content. OMTech machines are underrated, the guys from OMTech have wonderful customer service and all the machines they sell are reviewed and reassembled to meet all the US safety requirements, and for hobbyists, they have the Polar which is in my opinion the best desktop machine out there, it seems to be the same as the one from Gweikecloud, but you know all of these are rebranded for everyone to sell in the US, but at least is not like the very overpriced horrible performer Glowforge scam.

Was looking at full spectrum laser Muse Titan, Thunder and Rayjet R400. Mainly engraving leather. Need more speed and work area. Your thoughts?
Thunders are nice, comparable to Aeons typically. Don't know Rayjet. FSL uses proprietary software and parts - would avoid.
