    Fuel lines plumbed to the throttle body are not dual feed. One is supply and one is return to tank. Throttle body has an internal passage to move fuel to front and rear set of injectors.

    ? I notice that there is only one o2 senser which sounds good if you are running a single exhaust, but in a dual exhaust system there is only one bank of cylinders being monitored. would it not be better to have an o2 senser for each bank in a dual exhaust system.

      @@2HacksGarage: still only reading just the one side of the engine. in a V6, and V8 engines you need two o2 sensors. so why do the aftermarket only do just one? they should design a system with two o2 sensors.

    • @007freakazoid
      @007freakazoid 4 месяца назад +1

      It's unnecessary to run on each bank. System is recording the average on the one bank accurately enough to meter the whole engine. Most 4cyl engines run the O2 in one of the head pipes, so it's only recording 1 cylinder's O2. Remember, all cylinders are going to be roughly the exact same as long as everything is mechanically sound.

    You seem to be pretty knowledgeable with this sniper junk. Wondering if you have any ideas of the problems I’m having with mine. I’ve recently installed it (sniper2, hyper spark ignition, distributor, coil the whole nine yards) on a two year old blueprint engines 347 stroker. First off, I’ve already replaced the coolant sensor (what they sent was off 15-20 degrees), secondly, I’ve replaced the O2 sensor (theirs made it about 1.5 days). Timing, idle and IAC has been set. IAC hoovers right around 5. So what’s happening is, first start of the morning, cranks and idles perfect, but, after 20 seconds, it dies. Also, the vehicle is a manual and the majority of the time (cold or hot) when I come to a stop, it dies. It always cranks right back in either of these instances, but, after spending $2600 on this crap it shouldn’t be doing either. Another thing I’ve noticed is when I come to a stop and it does hold an idle, the IAC reading will be 0, but if I blip the throttle it goes to 5.

In the end on the sniper 2 kit came out and was compatible with the dual plane It was actually worth the reliability tuning ease and fuel mileage and comparable performance. Coming from a dinosaur who does not enjoy any electronics on vehicles hardly, this is my personal opinion. The carburetor is much cheaper though especially if you're good with minor tuning And just looking for solid performance probably better.
