It was a wonderful thing to see at MM and it puts a smile on your face…..standing at the entry to Lavant it also tortures its front tyres. Hopefully we will see Wooly and Julio back very soon. The real essence of Goodwood
Gorn in 1943, I gobbled up every magazine article about those cars, and always hoped my grandfather would get one of them so I could sit behind the wheel (in the driveway, of course) and pretend I was racing through Mexico. The cars were all-conquering down there. The recesses of my memory are telling me they even won the Mobil Economy Run one year, which I thought astonishing. Sadly, we lived on the East Coast and I never got to see one on a race track. Thank you for this video!
I remember being absolutely thrilled to see Julian's Cosmo parked in the spectator lot at the Lime Rock Historics back in the late 90s. Somewhere I have a 35mm print of that.
Racing is racing & it sounds like he's having fun. The engine is actually a 337 flathead that makes about 150hp stock. I warmed one up that makes over 300, that'd put a bigger smile on his dial!🤓
What fun! I would love to see some of the race. The one bit in this vid showed you being chased by a Metropolitan! I'd be jumping up and down. Thanks for sharing👍
I’ve been reading Julian’s pieces on Wooly Bully in C&SC since I was a boy, and remember seeing him race what looked like a bog standard Sunbeam Tiger at Brands against properly prepared opposition around that time. Lovely to see this video 😊
Saw Julian run the Lincoln at Sears Point back in 90s, seems like I must have seen it at Laguna Seca too (I know I saw Julian at Historics but maybe with Falcon). HOPE to see at Revival as I have my tix, lodging, and flights! A Californian is on his way!! Bucket list event coming to fruition, so dang excited!!!
That turquoise and vanilla Nash is rather racey and ultra-hipster. (I rode to and from high school now and then in one. Rather very uncool back then. As in more than five decades ago. :)
Is this the most relaxing way to go racing?
Hardly showed it racing
I hope you had a crate of moonshine in the back 😉
That's all you bring to the table huh ? Why are all of you on youtube so retarded ?
It is so cool to see that big of a car racing on a track

Unquestionably the most enjoyable racing program there ever was. Nobody does motor racing like the British.
Great video! I raced against you in 1991 ! The year that Nick Mason and the Pink Floyd crew made a their film ! Viva La Carrera Panamericana!
Love it. Its the stuff that makes Goodwood the best. Thank you.

That car is wonderfully absurd, I love it!

I saw this car go round the track at the Bicester Flywheel event in 2016. Looked and sounded epic. It had orange wheels and whitewall tyres then.
Fantastic car, loved hearing about it

Enjoyed that, thanks!
Amazing love it
I want the soundtrack of this ride😊
I miss my 2 1954 Lincoln capri’s😔i had a 2 door and a 4 door… I had to sell them and move to Germany.
Some of the best races and racing drivers race at Goodwood
Nice... I race a Lexus first gen LS400 lol.
Bias ply tires?

This is what happens when money doesn’t ruin racing
✌️
volga 21 ruzzian have stolen the whole design of this car
Mad respect. That has to be a hand full to race.
