It's really amazing to have seen the wood go from felled trees all the way through to an (almost) finished kitchen! And an added bonus that it's all entirely local and handcrafted. 👏🏽👏🏽
Budo, the cabinets are looking fantastic. Tracey is going to love her kitchen. It's so smartly designed. My home was built in 1965, and my original cabinets are not nearly as nice. You're doing amazing work.👍
I love the counter tops. We could not find proper butcherblock tops, there were none to be had anywhere. We ended up buying bamboo tops. No where near as rich looking as your's. The cabinets look amazing. Tracy is going to be so happy working in the kitchen you are building her, Budo. I love watching you work.
I was a little leery about wooden countertops as they seem like they wouldn’t have the longevity of say, granite. But the color contrast between that and the cupboard doors is so warm and rich that it’s worth taking extra care to keep the countertops in good condition. It was a special treat to see the wood go from felled tree trunk to finished counter tops, thanks for showing us how it works! 😊
Yes he is a Master Carpenter . He could get lots of work in France in some of the Chateaus ; for sure what I have been watching others do!! Cheers from Canada
Thank you so much Chris l think people are given very easily the title of master craftsman when they are not and it insults the people that have earn this title 😍🙏
Budo, your work is amazing keep going Tracey you are one lucky lady but I think the best bit will be your pointing of the stone thank you for your hard work of doing the videos
Thank you Theresa and l will be back soon. I have been busy tackling the lvy on the gable end of the barn and l have nearly finished the front part as well😍🙏wx
Your work as always is quality Budo. You saved a foutune on the timber for sure. A hand built kitchen would cost a small fortune too mate. Beautiful work.
Absolutely Brian😍🙏Budo was talking to Adam who lives in London and he went into a hand made kitchen shop and saw a kitchen very similar to what Budo is hand making and the price was £120,000 amazing 😻
@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries It would not surprise me at all. Hand built from solid timber, with that level of craftsmanship would be a huge number for sure. Put it this way, I'm glad I'm not paying for it.😀
Well done Budo!! another amazing job and great to watch the process and wish I had smelly vision socI could smell the wood. It reminds me of my times as a child watching my Dad making our kitchen units . It was a labour of love and he also boxed in a Belfast sink and that was when I was about 7 years old as I'm now 71. I can remember how the Corona delivery man was amazed as he hadn't seen a hand built kitchen. My Dad was self taught and a perfectionist. Can't wait to see the rest of the kitchen come together.
Hello folks ! Watching from the West Coast, San Diego. Just wanted to say, anyone on the East Coast, with loved ones affected by the devastation, our hearts are with you ❤ be strong
Budo and Tracy, almost forgot to thank you so much for sharing. You have lovely people, who are your fans and are cheering you on. I always read the comments, hear people who are from all over. Like minded in the aspect of being good hearted folks and down to earth.
Hey SD. I am an hour up the coast from you in San Clemente, CA. We are also thinking about and praying for those in the south east of 🇺🇸 devastated by Helene.
@@janetdupree6353, military was finally given a release to deploy. Hopefully, Elon can get Starlink up for communications. Heartbreaking, all I can think of is the HARP and what happened to the people in Maui.
Worktops are fabulous. Got a glimpse of a Carpenters Chest when you were showing us the staves. Was it your Apprentice piece or is it older? Keep up the good work you are doing well - its such a huge job but what you have done so far is amazing.
@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries no I meant what are you going to use? I'm about to update my cabinets and counter tops and backsplash and I'm not sure what to use.
Looking lovely. Would like to see how you are going to deal with the newel post next to the cooker as slightly too big and sticks out beyond the worktop. This is what I like to see, overcoming a problem like a pro that you are.
Hi Would you be able to tell us the make and where you purchased your glue. Like you we live in France and are bringing a preciously unhabitable house back to life. We have been using worth glue but suddenly seem unable to get it. We are currently working on an oak freestanding kitchen very similar to yours, which is beautiful thank you for sharing

Could you please tell me? Why are the ends of the wood painted red? Is it for safety on the highways to make people aware of the load in front of them?😊
No Jan i always paint the ends of green timber meaning wet timber to slow the drying prosses down this helps stop the wood splitting xx
Elu tools. They don't make them like that anymore. Festool or Mafell possibly comes close.
Couldn't agree more Andrew thanks buddy
Tracy, i'm not sure i like the background music.
Budo choses the music Jim but we hope you enjoyed the video thank you for warning 😍🙏
