      Yes, and no. During the end of the dinosaur's reign, birds have already split away from the dinosaurs. So birds are decendents from dinosaurs, but aren't literally dinosaurs. And their wouldn't be any dinosaur without its share of reptilian ancestry. Modern crocodiles and monitor lizards are the 2nd closest relatives (behind birds) to the dinosaurs of the Cretaceous, and are even more closely related to the dinosaurs before!

    As you are watching this, you probably noticed a Crocodyliform in the flood water snatching one of the Centrosaurus. Contrary to what people will tell you, that was not Sarcosuchus. The setting for this video is North America. Sarcosuchus is only known to have come from North Africa. Whether or not Sarcosuchus coexisted with Spinosaurus is often the subject of debate, as many authors state that Sarcosuchus appeared during the Aptian stage of the early Cretaceous and instead coexisted with the spinosaur Suchomimus. And though Sarcosuchus is often said to be a Crocodile, he is in fact, not a crocodile. Sarcosuchus is part of a separate branch of Crocodyliforms called Pholidosaurids and while they are related to Crocodilians, they are not Crocodilians themselves. The term Crocodilian only applies to those Crocodyliforms within Crocodylia, such as Alligators and the genus Crocodylus (Crocodiles). Both these forms of Crocodyliforms are within the order Crocodylomorpha, which has multiple families and branches both extinct and extant. Based on Temporal ranges, the Crocodyliform in the video is likely Deinosuchus, which to my knowledge is a true Crocodilian and shares a close phylogenetic relationship with Alligators.

    • @khadijahannan4096
      @khadijahannan4096 9 лет назад +3

      Luigi Gaskell yes it's a deinosuchus, which may have existed with centrosaurus and daspletosaurus. Sarcosuchus didn't lived with spinosaurus, instead it existed with suchomimus and ouranosaurus in the elrhaz formation. It also lived in the ilhas formation in Brazil. While on Wikipedia it said that the crocodile seen in this segment was possibly deinosuchus.

It also shows how it is similar to how modern-day cheetahs hunt wildebeest and the struggles wildebeest face while crossing rivers too. I also like how Prehistoric Planet (2022-2023) it shows how some Tyrannosaurus are shown hunting some Edmontosaurus at night like how modern-day African lions hunt their prey at night and that Corythoraptor brooded their nests of eggs like modern birds and also protected them from predators like Kuru Kulla like how Gigantoraptor brooded their nests of eggs like modern birds and also protected them from Alectrosaurus.

      LegitEliminator I agree , however I do believe it's likely the juveniles of larger dinosaur packs were usually together, also seasonal priority had something to do with it. I think sometimes larger dinosaurs would behave like our wolves of today by kicking bad members out of the group,however instinctively do it.

      We've actually found direct evidence that _Tyrannosaurus_ at least hunted in small groups like wolves. A few(?) years ago we found footprints that could only have been made by multiple adult _Tyrannosaurus'._ They most probably did live in small packs of a few adults and some juveniles, and provided direct care for the young, mostly from the mother and father but also other members of the pack, again much like wolves today.

While in reality Daspletosaurus is a very robust animal, a predator that is built for brute force rather than speed (which is different from Albertosaurus, Alioramus & Gorgosaurus); it also has powerful jaws with bone-crushing teeth, similar to the weaponry of Tarbosaurus & Tyrannosaurus.

    Wow, its just amazing, that not even the biggest and strongest of animals could thrive on this planet like we Humans did.
    If we are sent in nature today, without any equipment whatsoever, we would easily die at the hands of deadly predators. We Humans are no match for any wild animals, however, we managed to thrive because of our brains, hands, and feet.
    Our brain gives us the ability to make tools, tho we do not have sharp teeth or claws, we can make sharp weapons.
    This allowed us to thrive, and since we were hunter gatherers, we lived and hunted in groups, giving us safety, and social bonding.
    We Humans, tho not as strong as any wild animal, managed to live thousands of years on this planet, and today, we basically rule the food chain.
    We are the only species on Earth who has gained the power to thing logically, and effectively. We have been to space, conquered all land, been in water, and basically rule this Earth.
    We don't need to hunt anymore, massive food productions, and agriculture manages to feed billions of people world wide.
    We have basically beaten nature, and escaped it to become independent.

    • @andreapontalti1800
      @andreapontalti1800 8 лет назад +6

      Are you a rivolutionist? Because, thanks our brain, hands and feet, we are rapidly killing the planet. Yes, we, the intelligent animal ever existed. Really intelligent destroy our own planet, isn't it? We have not beaten the nature, we are only gonna kill them, and then, when there will be no nature on the planet, let's see if we are really "indipendent" from it. We are only the first animal on the food chain at the moment, nothingelse. An for only some thousands of year. Tyrannosaurus, with its brain, hands and foot reigned for milions years.
