Thanks for another great review Chris. With mine on full flaps and low throttle I could fly by like a blimp. She does really good aerobatics as you mentioned. The bright yellow and big size may be helpful for those who have eyesight restrictions or orientation issues with small planes.
Our field is a bit on the rough side so the first thing I did was upgrade the struts to the 80mm Freewing A-10 trailing link struts all around and that made all the difference. Much easier on the rest of the airframe for sure. Upgraded all of the pushrods and clevises to 6/32 wire and golden clevises. Upgraded the ESC to 100 Amp, installed a Flite Test UBEC and ordered a Bad Ass 4530 motor as well as the Thunderbolt 4 into 1 harnesses. After all I bought the airplane for its superb flight performance and now I have a t-28 that is reliable, fun and hopefully will last.

Hey Chris, thanks for the reply! Just a couple of more of you don’t mind: what is the largest motor that you can put on the Trojan? Lastly, my grandson’s Apprentice to a nose dive yesterday and broke the motor mount. I got removed the bad one having to cut the plastic to get it off because the wires go through a hole in the mount. The problem is the wires are hard wired into the ECS and I don’t want to mess with it. Hi Chris, great video! Looking into getting one, just a few questions. 1. Is there a motor upgrade 2. What’s all the noise when taxing? Sounds like the wheels are coming off Thanks, Anthony
Yeah, there are lots of options for different motors for this. The eflite power 60 or something similar would be a good place to start looking. What you’re hearing on the taxi is just the really hard stock tires. They make a lot of noise. 😆
Nice Big Bird at least that's what I'm painting for the pilot name. I agree they should have added a front nose door for the price. Still a great flight and video.

Hi, "balsa flyer" here. I have a question, what are the benefits of a foam plane compared to balsa and ply? I have never flown a foamy and for some reason I don't want to, maybe it's just ignorance hence the question.
Ultimately I think it boils down to manufacturability. At the smaller scales, foam is less expensive to produce in mass compared to balsa. They are extremely good flyers usually with much better durability compared to balsa. That said, a well designed rigid balsa airframe does tend to track a bit better in flight.

@RECKEM ROYS RC Those connectors will definitely come in handy and make things a lot easier, but unfortunately the screws holding the wings on, and their receptacles in the fuselage will eventually wear out and fail over time, which has happened to me with two different warbirds so far. I really think the way forward to make transportation and assembly easier in these big models, is the three piece wing with quick attachment and detachment points, such as with the Eflite Focke Wulf and the Draco in their lineup.
