What is hot runner system?
Hot runners use heating methods to ensure the plastic in the runners and injection points remains molten. A hot runner system generally consists of several parts, including hot nozzles, manifolds, temperature controllers and accessories.

Higher part quality - Eliminates weld lines and other defects caused by pressure drops and shear zones in cold runners. Parts are more dimensionally accurate.
Increased productivity - Hot runners allow multi-cavity molds to run at full capacity. No time wasted clearing solidified plastic from cold runners between shots.
Less waste - Very little to no discarded plastic since almost all runner material makes it into parts. Cold runners produce more waste flash.
Greater design flexibility - Plastic can be distributed complex flow patterns compared to linear cold runners. Enables more intricate part designs.
