Well Jimmy's taking it well, it will be interesting to see if the US remain a competitive team. Seeing how he goes at the helm of the Australian team will be interesting.
I feel like replacing too many people in the middle of the season would be weakening themselves unnecessarily, even just swapping Taylor in for Jimmy means a lot of adaptation, but getting rid of other crewmembers and Coach Presti so suddenly doesn’t seem smart.
Yes, it's about to be. Did you hear them say that the racing was their least important issue. Advertisers and sponsorship was their priority... How long before they bow to the advertisers pressures and remove drivers/teams that don't support their ideologies...
Well this video clarified some things for me. There were more details concerning the sailor who was injured. It also explained why Jimmy was out of the picture during the victory celebrations.
yeah yeah yeah. Spithill lucked out huge. Goes out of the boundry and then, from his seat in the bleachers (last place), he gets lucky and finishes first for a change. He sucked.
Yes, this is what I was going to say. Spithill has made too many poor decisions and this win was pure luck. Spithill made a terrible mistake at the start, even if he hadn't gone OB, and being so far dead last place let him avoid a lull that the more deserving leaders were unfortunate to hit. Avoiding that lull was a decision even an amateur racer would have capitalized on. Good riddance. Maybe team USA will not need to depend on luck in the future, and maybe they will become competitive when all else is equal. Although, I expect it will take some time for USA to reach an equilibrium, as it would for any new team.
7:24 'I'm not sure that the race is the most important thing' - Lets see how long the sponsorship lasts if you dont thing results are THE most important thing.
Great video! Thanks for the back story. Looking forward to this weekend!
